The internet exploded instantly.

[.....]

[Ah, so she’s a martial arts student, no wonder she walks like a boss. The way she flipped her hair and shot that look literally killed me.]Full novel: Cast as the Foil, She Went Viral on a Military Reality Show — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

[Pretty high starting point, but that’s how it goes. Usually the ones who start strong end up falling off.]

Renee Morgan walked up to the three guests, ready to greet the female guests first.

"Oh my god, how can someone be so gorgeous?" Lynn Miller opened her mouth wide, totally unfiltered, then quickly covered it.

Renee Morgan: "..."

Lynn looked like she was about to go full drama queen, covering her mouth and running up to Renee.

Both were wearing flats.

The usually "tall girls rule" tomboy Lynn actually turned out to be shorter than Renee.

Lynn’s eyes instantly locked onto those long legs, looking a bit wounded: "Damn, we’re basically the same height, but your legs reach my waist..."

The crew gave them a big close-up, letting viewers see that Renee’s legs really did come up to Lynn’s waist—those proportions are insane.

The screen blew up again: [Holy shit, this is murder. Is this the legendary golden-ratio body?]

[With those proportions, she could walk into a beauty pageant and easily make the top three.]

[Sis is the literal definition of ’neck-down, all legs.’]

Renee looked at Lynn, a bit embarrassed, smiled: "My legs look good but they’re useless. Coach Miller’s legs are way stronger."

Lynn was instantly cured: "..."

Netizens surrender to her high EQ, flooding the screen: [Ahhh, I want those useless legs!]

[Goddess-level looks and such a sweet mouth. I’m in love.]

Guests on the show get info sheets, each of them has one.

Lynn is a taekwondo coach.

Of course Lynn knew who Renee Morgan was—a newbie just entering entertainment.

Not a big star, really no different from regular folks.

Her photos are so-so, but real life? Photos could never capture that face.

Lynn isn’t usually a sucker for looks, but right now she just wants to be Renee’s fangirl.

The two girls sat down and quickly started chatting.

The two male guests looked super awkward and wanted to pick at their toes.

But soon, another guest arrived.

The fifth was Wendy Aldridge.

Yep, same Wendy from the dream—the one who’d use her as a stepping stone and blow up from this show.

Wendy’s the same age as Renee, also new to the industry, both have good looks and figures, both trained in prestigious acting schools—just different ones. The crew read out Wendy’s profile, and netizens immediately exploded again, comparing her to Renee Morgan.

These two are definitely stuck as the comparison pair.

Where there’s comparison, someone’s feelings get hurt.

Lynn was sneaking looks at the livestream on her phone, leaned in to whisper to Renee: "Morgan, the stream just launched a PK poll—who’s prettier, you or Wendy Aldridge?"

Renee just realized these cameras were live-streaming, not recording.

Looks like reality is already diverging from the dream a bit.

Is that good?

Renee asked, curious: "Let me see."

Lynn opened the floating PK pop-up, and bam: Morgan vs Wendy Aldridge.

Title: Who will be the prettiest "Green Flower" in the Army?

Below: vote counts.

Renee Morgan 2899, Wendy Aldridge 201.

Renee Morgan: "..."

But the numbers kept climbing.

Viewers loving the drama, hyping up everyone to vote Wendy, at least give her 250.

Renee Morgan: "..."

Wendy greeted everyone, grabbed the center sofa, knowing it’s live and not daring to touch her phone, kept up that mysterious, self-assured smile the whole time.

All the guests soon arrived—eight in total, four guys, four girls. Each group had a non-actor—taekwondo coach or international level-two athlete. Each side also had two D-list celebrities; Renee and Wendy were the D-listers for the girls. Each side had a once-famous, now washed-up, small-time Movie King and Movie Queen.

Eight guests, split into male and female groups, currently checked into the hotel, heading out in the morning.

Renee, Wendy, Lynn, plus Movie Queen Zara Chapman, led by the crew, went up to the big suite on the eighteenth floor.

The suite was two bedrooms and a living room.

Zara Chapman listened to the crew’s arrangements, tapped her manicured nail against her nose: "Sorry, I’ve got some old health issues and really bad sleep. I can’t get used to sharing a room. Why don’t you three squeeze in together?"

She’s the Movie Queen. No way she’s bunking with these nobodies.

If she actually did, it’s basically slapping herself in the face.

The director’s crew explained: "Ms. Chapman, each room has two single beds, it won’t disturb your rest..."

Zara cut them off: "I know, but having people in the same room still disturbs me."

The crew hesitated: "But the other room only has two single beds, wouldn’t three people be too crowded..."

The assistant sent to communicate spoke extra politely, tiptoeing around.

Zara got even more annoyed, pointed at the living room: "Just move the bed from my room into the living room, problem solved."

If it was a guy, whatever. But making a girl sleep in the living room with zero privacy? Who’d agree to that?

Everyone looked at each other, speechless.

The live cam zoomed in on the four members’ faces, catching even the tiniest micro-expressions.

Especially Renee and Wendy, both new to showbiz.

Zara’s the Movie Queen—even if she’s faded, she’s got work behind her name. They can’t afford to piss her off, or they’ll get branded disrespectful towards seniors.

Renee and Wendy definitely get it: in the entertainment industry, newbies who ignore unwritten rules won’t just miss out on fame—they could vanish overnight.

Out of the three, only Lynn is a civilian. Hearing Zara try to snag a whole room to herself got her pissed. If you’re seriously ill, you shouldn’t even be here filming. If it’s just a minor issue, tell everyone and we’ll take care of you. The director already said there are two single beds per room, and she’s still pulling this act? Isn’t she just being obnoxious?

Lynn said immediately: "Ms. Chapman, I’ll share a room with you. If you’re not feeling well, I’ve got experience taking care of patients."

Ms. Chapman frowned: "I don’t even know you, why would I let you take care of me?"

Lynn sneered inside, but kept smiling: "Well, since you’re ill, it’s only right for me to look after you."

Her tone was basically saying Zara’s got issues.

"You!" Zara’s face changed with rage—if it weren’t for all the cameras, she might have gone off already.

Lynn sized up her raised hand, rolled her knuckles, beaming: "Ms. Chapman, are you looking to spar with me? Fine by me, exercise is great for your health!"
