There was no beginning.
There was no end.
There was no before…and no after.
There was only— silence.
Not the absence of sound, not emptiness.
Something deeper.
Something that could not be named…because names had not yet begun.
And yet, movement, like a pulse, like a single beat, like the unfolding of ocean waves…
Not in space, not in time but in a way that made both possible.
A presence—
No.
Even calling it that… was wrong.
Because to be “present” implies location.
And this— was not located anywhere.
It simply…
was.
And then for the first time a distinction occurred.
Not created, not decided but spoken.
A single word not heard, not understood.
But rather, absolute.
“You will never know defeat.”
And with that, reality began.
But reality did not begin in harmony.
Not everything accepted form or definition.
Somewhere not in place or time but within the first fracture of distinction, something resisted.
It did not scream, it did not rage.
It simply— refused.
Refused to be defined.
Refused to be bound.
Refused to be less than what it believed itself to be.
And in that refusal, conflict was born.
Not war or destruction.
It was far worse than that.
It was a disagreement.
Not of one to another but with existence itself.
And though nothing had yet taken shape, that defiance echoed.
Across what would become time, space, fate, identity, matter, dimensions, existence, reality, universe.
And then, it was gone.
Not defeated or erased.
Just— unresolved.
And somewhere, within all that would one day exist… that WORD had already found its target.
