”BANG—”

Fluid dripped down from above. Su Wanqing opened her eyes in a panic, only to see beer streaming down Brother Long’s head.

Then, the weight pressing down on her vanished. Brother Long was grabbed by the back of his collar and flung aside, and Jian Ou’s furious face appeared directly above her.Full novel: CEO, Enter My Game — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Brother Long wiped the liquid off his face and scowled at Jian Ou. After recognizing who it was, he spoke in an unfriendly tone, “Mr. Jian, what is the meaning of this?!”

”Take your men and get the hell out of here. If you injure the young master of the Situ family, watch out for your life!”

Brother Long froze, his gaze shifting heavily toward Situ Jin.

Over there, Situ Jin was fighting one against eight. He was clearly struggling, and his white T-shirt had already turned grey.

Seeing someone about to launch a sneak attack from behind, Su Wanqing cried out in alarm, “Watch out!”

Just as the words left her mouth, a beer bottle flew through the air, hitting the attacker square in the back of the head.

”Long Wu, keep a leash on your men. Don’t go looking for trouble!”

Brother Long shuddered. A flash of doubt crossed his face, but upon seeing Jian Ou’s dark expression, he hurriedly barked, “All of you, stop right f***ing now!”

Situ Jin walked over to Su Wanqing’s side, panting heavily. He reached out to pull her up and shielded her behind him. “Don’t let me see you again, or I’ll cripple you!”

”Hehe, this really is a case of ‘the Flood God’s temple being flooded by its own family.’ I didn’t expect it to actually be the young master of the Situ family. Fine, today’s matter is my fault. How about I apologize to you, alright?”

”Get lost!”

Situ Jin let out a roar. Brother Long’s body flinched, a hint of defiance in his eyes, but he reigned it in when his gaze met Jian Ou’s. “Fine. Brothers, let’s move out.”

A sudden commotion was resolved with just these few words. Su Wanqing looked at Jian Ou, feeling an indescribable irritation in her heart.

What did he mean by this? He was the one who caused her family’s ruin—did he think he could smooth things over with this tiny bit of favor?

In his dreams!

Jian Ou’s face was as dark as ink, the chill in his eyes enough to instantly turn someone into a block of ice. “I told you, it’s best if you leave Luocheng. Otherwise, there will only be endless trouble!”

Su Wanqing knew these words were directed at her. She pressed her lips together tightly, her eyes shining with a firm light. “I told you, I’m not leaving this place!”

For once, Situ Jin actually stood on Jian Ou’s side and tried to persuade her. “Wanqing, just go back. This place isn’t safe, I’m really worried!”

The way the name “Wanqing” came out of Situ Jin’s mouth made the atmosphere around Jian Ou even more oppressive. His dark eyes stared intensely at Su Wanqing, as if trying to bore a hole through her.

Su Wanqing hadn’t expected Situ Jin to say such things too, and she couldn’t help but feel annoyed. “I don’t want to go back. Stop worrying about my business.”

Her gaze softened when it landed on the wounds on his face. “You should go back first. I still have work here.”

The interaction between the two of them looked like flirting in Jian Ou’s eyes. A surge of irritation rose in his heart, and he let out a cold laugh. “Fine, Su Wanqing. I’d like to see exactly what kind of ability you have to stay here!”

With that, he left without a single lingering look.

Su Wanqing watched his retreating back, her heart stinging. She gripped her own arm tightly, her nails digging into her flesh until the pain flooded her entire body.

Only this way could she stop her mind from wandering.

Jian Ou was gone, and Su Wanqing had sent Situ Jin away as well. Before he left, she took one last worried look at his injuries, but didn’t linger for long.

Situ Jin knew her temperament, so he didn’t push any further.

When she returned to the beer stall, the boss pointed at her nose and started screaming the moment he saw her. “Are you here to work for me or to trash the place? Look at how much I’ve lost in just the few days you’ve been here! I think you should just pack up and leave.”
