After hearing what he said, Bao Er shook her head. He didn’t look ugly, in fact he was more good-looking than her.
His facial features were more delicate and his skin was also whiter. He didn’t look girly, but looked jovial instead with an indescribable attractiveness. On his attractive face, his long, narrowed eyes had a shiny reflection, and his dark-colored irises looked as deep as poppy. The corners of his lips were lit with smiles, but she could occasionally see the coldness beneath his eyes as well.
“No, you are good-looking.” She answered subconsciously, talking about his looks.
Even in her school, she never saw any male who looked as attractive as him, so he wasn’t ugly at all.
His hand gently brushed Bao Er’s hair. He spoke indifferently but he acted like he was troubled about the question just now. “Then why are you afraid? What are you afraid of?”
Luckily his tone was not too stern, or else she might become more afraid. What if he became unhappy and wanted her to give the money back? She’d already used a part of it. At this thought, Bao Er felt a little nervous, and she silently prayed that he wasn’t what she thought he would be.
So she frowned, and explained to him little by little and with all seriousness about what she was “afraid” of.
“Actually I’m not so afraid. I’m just nervous because I’m not that close to you, and we only got to know each other.” At the end of her sentence, Bao Er’s voice became softer and her head dipped lower. Thinking about what would happen next, her heart tightened even more.
He looked at Bao Er like he was listening to some joke. “What’s with that? A lot of people are closer than us on their first meeting, and they are purely strangers at that time too.”
“But I’m not them, and I’m different from them.” Bao Er voiced her disagreement. Although she became his lover willingly, she still felt unhappy to be compared to those frivolous people.

“Okay, you’re different from them, you look gentle and soft, and you don’t look like you have a temper.” He told her as if he understood. He sounded indifferent but Bao Er had piqued his interest from deep within his heart. Next, he just wanted to see how she would maintain his interest for her.

“Are you single or married?” Bao Er asked him with a straight face. She had no choice, this was an important question so she must know.
“Single. Why, haven’t I told you before?” A faint and warm smile appeared at the corners of Tan Jingmo’s lips.
He then laughed, and looked at Bao Er with a doting face like he was looking at the person he loved. Bao Er shuddered at this. She was not someone he loved, it was just ridiculous.

However, Tan Jingmo looked at her, amused. “What if I’m married? What will you do?” He was curious. It was her second time asking him if he was single or married.
Married? If he was truly married, she wouldn’t be here. “If so, I won’t agree and I won’t be here now.”
He sighed and caressed her head, scooping up a bundle of her hair to kiss it gently. It was solemn and sincere, making Bao Er’s heart skip a beat.
“You have such a strong principle, I like this kind of babe.” He continued to kiss Bao Er’s face after that, like a puppy that was licking her face. This kiss was different in that it made her heart throb.
To sum it up, it felt strange but it didn’t feel that uncomfortable yet.
Bao Er thought about what he said. It felt as if he understood what she was thinking about without needing her to voice it out. Was he that smart?

Her principle did make him see her differently instead. Not every woman who became someone’s lover would consider if the person was single or married, or if they would destroy the other’s family.

Tan Jingmo smiled wider after he heard her words, a bright light shining in his dark eyes. He didn’t know that she could cook, but most importantly, he was hungry but it wasn’t his stomach. “I’m happy to hear that. I’m hungry but I don’t want to eat anything else, I only want to eat… you.”
He then inched closer to her, and then… landed his mouth on her. This time it was not on her cheek, but her lips.
Bao Er’s lips were pinkish and thin without any makeup, but it was like she applied honey gloss that gave it a pretty pink. It was also as soft as a jelly candy.
Tan Jingmo put his tongue out to slowly capture her sweetness. He couldn’t control himself to not obtain it.
