17 – First Kiss
Too fast!
It’s all happening too fast!
They had been together for less than 24 hours, and they were already kissing!
Chi Mi’s mind was a jumbled mess, all her attention drawn to the sensation on her lips.
A faint peach fragrance mingled with his masculine scent.
He still held her by the waist, not letting her move.
Gradually, Chi Mi felt like she couldn’t breathe anymore.
She believed it.
Ye Zhuohuai was kissing for the first time.
He was desperately trying to take everything from her.
“Ouch…”
Chi Mi pounded on his chest, “Mmm… stop.”
“I can’t breathe…”
Ye Zhuohuai reluctantly let go, his breathing heavy as well. He saw her little face flushed red, and her lips, which had lost their lipstick after brushing her teeth, now took on a beautiful pomegranate-red hue from his kisses.
Chi Mi gasped for air in small breaths, casually complaining, “Your kissing skills are really bad.”
Ye Zhuohuai’s forehead veins bulged, “How is that possible! There’s nothing I can’t do well!”
“They’re just bad. I almost blacked out from lack of oxygen. I think you really wanted to kiss me to death!”
“I’ll kiss you until you cry!” Ye Zhuohuai stared intently at her alluring red lips, his eyes gleaming with a dark light, “Really… that bad?”
“Terrible.”
“Have you kissed someone else before? Have you compared?” Ye Zhuohuai pinched her waist, “Hmm?”
“No! I haven’t!” Chi Mi shook her head slightly, “It’s my first time too, but the way you were just now definitely shows poor kissing skills. I may not have experienced it, but haven’t I seen it? Kissing on TV is so beautiful!”
“You didn’t look in the mirror just now, but our kissing scene was beautiful too. With our looks, we’re no less than an idol drama. As for poor kissing skills…” Ye Zhuohuai smiled, “Sweetheart, practice with me more. We’ll improve together, getting better day by day.”
“Huh?”
“No, don’t…”
“What do you mean ‘don’t’? Let’s continue. Continue! I haven’t kissed enough yet.” Ye Zhuohuai cupped the back of her head, “Be good, relax a bit. This time I won’t make you run out of breath.”
Should she trust him?
Was Ye Zhuohuai trustworthy?
After a while, Chi Mi leaned against his chest, breathing softly and gently.
He was quite trustworthy.
After the first experience where he nearly made her run out of breath, Ye Zhuohuai would kiss for two minutes, then let go, and continue again.
Chi Mi felt her lips go numb.
Her legs were almost too weak to stand.
Soft.
Ye Zhuohuai’s eyes were full of laughter. His sweetheart really was sweet.
Now leaning against his chest, she was completely soft and gentle, utterly adorable.
She was so delicate.
A few more kisses and her face would turn red, her beautiful peach-blossom eyes brimming with spring-like tenderness, charming and flirtatious, making him unable to stop, the more he kissed, the less he wanted to let go.
“Sweetheart!”
Chi Mi pushed him away, her face flushed, “Let’s go!”
Having a meal had already taken too long.
Ye Zhuohuai, having gotten his way, was in an excellent mood, his face beaming with pride.
Chi Mi was off today and didn’t want to go to the hospital in the afternoon either.
Ye Zhuohuai insisted on taking her home.
He even had the audacity to want to add his fingerprint to her door lock.
Chi Mi stood at the doorway, “No!”
“Why not?” Ye Zhuohuai lowered his head, “You’re guarding against me.”
“We just got together, and you already want to enter my home. Isn’t that too fast?” Chi Mi blocked the door lock.
They had already made great progress today. If she let Ye Zhuohuai into her home now,
her brother’s words would really come true.
Hold hands today, kiss tomorrow, consummate the marriage the day after!Chi Mi had never experienced a speed-run romance, and she wasn’t ready to take things with Ye Zhuohuai to the final step.
“Sweetheart, I’m eagerly looking forward to it every moment. If you let me in, I’ll come in.” Ye Zhuohuai didn’t push further. “Rest well. I’m leaving.”
Even though he couldn’t get inside, at least he now knew where his sweetheart lived. It wasn’t a wasted trip.
He could stage a surprise visit in the future!
Chi Mi waited until he entered the elevator before returning home.
She kicked off her shoes, let down her long hair, changed clothes, and went to bed.
Exhausted.
Chi Mi was woken up by her phone ringing.
At seven in the evening, Chi Mi met Xing Chun at a restaurant.
“Wow, what happened to your lips?” Xing Chun squinted. “Were you bitten?”
“By a dog.”
“Ye Zhuohuai?” Xing Chun’s eyes instantly lit up. “You kissed! That was fast! Really fast!”
“The speed of the kiss matches the speed of his investment—after all, it’s 2 billion.” Chi Mi touched her lips. “His kissing skills are terrible! He’s all enthusiasm but no technique. He pinned me down and kissed me for half an hour!”
Xing Chun: “…”
Terrible kissing skills?
All enthusiasm but no technique?
Haha!
So there’s something President Ye isn’t good at!
“You seem so excited. Want to watch it live?” Chi Mi picked up the menu.
“Yes!” Xing Chun grew even more excited.
Could she really watch?
Would Ye Zhuohuai kick her out?
Chi Mi said calmly, “Given Ye Zhuohuai’s personality, I wouldn’t be surprised if he filmed us kissing in the future. Do you think he’d hold the phone himself or hire someone to shoot it from eight different angles like in an idol drama?”
“Ahhh! Eight angles for a kiss! President Ye is too much!” Xing Chun’s eyes sparkled. “When can I watch it?”
“You really want to see it?” Chi Mi laughed. “Then wait.”
“How long?”
“If we get married, I’ll show you.”
Married!!!
Xing Chun squealed with excitement. “You’re going to marry Ye Zhuohuai? When? Is it an arranged marriage or are you actually dating?”
“I said if, if! IF!!!” Chi Mi calmly ordered her food. “This isn’t a private room. Calm down.”
“I’m just excited. When you were dating Yang Siquan, I didn’t feel anything, but Ye Zhuohuai is different…” Xing Chun glanced around cautiously. “Did you know? Yang Siquan was hospitalized today—the same hospital you were at. I heard he broke a few ribs and had surgery this afternoon.”
“How did he get hurt out of nowhere?”
“I think it was probably your Ye Zhuohuai’s doing.” Xing Chun lowered her voice, covering her mouth cautiously. “Who else would be so bold as to beat Yang Siquan half to death?”
Chi Mi stared at the menu, feeling the words start to blur.
Could it be that the two hours Ye Zhuohuai was gone this morning were spent confronting Yang Siquan?
But she hadn’t even shown Yang Siquan the watch she prepared.
Headache!
Better not think about it.
Ye Zhuohuai’s mind is just too sharp.
“If your President Ye finds out you’re out having dinner with me, won’t he get jealous?” Xing Chun giggled. “I think President Ye has already fallen at your feet, completely captivated by you.”
“I don’t know. I haven’t contacted him. Probably busy.” Chi Mi finished ordering and said calmly, “I really don’t want to see him today. Three times in less than 24 hours! My lips are sore from all the kissing…” Chi Mi hadn’t even put on lipstick when she went out today, opting for lip balm instead. Her lips now showed their natural color, enhanced by a clear lip gloss, making them appear glossy and full.
“Don’t make any wishes. These things often follow Murphy’s Law—the more you don’t want to see something, the more likely it is to happen,” Xing Chun said, resting her chin in her hand. “When he introduces you to his friends, can you take me along? I want to see the world too.”
“Do you want to see the world, or do you want to see a certain someone?” Chi Mi asked with a smile.
