Chapter 2 First Customer

Class Creator:I Can Create Infinite Classes

"Hmm? What should I purchase?"

Melodie was currently browsing the Class Book shop in the Dungeon Hub. She was a beautiful eighteen-year-old girl with black hair. The eyes of many men were always drawn to her, while some women looked on with jealousy.

But right now, Melodie was very focused. This was because she was about to choose her first class, and the first class was always the most important for dungeon hunters. It was the stage where they familiarized themselves with the system and the dungeon world.

Later on, most dungeon hunters would go on to buy rarer and more powerful classes as their careers progressed.

"Hello, miss. It looks like you’re having trouble choosing a Class Book. May I help you?" Juan, the male staff member approached her.

"Yes, please." Melodie answered shortly.

"From your appearance and estimated age, you must have just become a dungeon hunter, if I’m correct. So now you’re trying to choose the best starter class among dozens of options. Let me suggest the Flame Swordsman. It is the most famous starter class in this district. Plus, most of the dungeons here are quite weak against this class."

"Hmm... but it’s very common. Everywhere I look whether on social media or among my friends, people choose this one."

"I see. Then how about this one, Zephyr Archer? A powerful wind-element-based archer. It’s truly a combination made in heaven. With this class, no enemy can get away from you."

"Hmm... I don’t like attacking enemies from a distance. It will be hard if they get close to me."

"Ahh... is that so?" Juan smiled weakly.

While Melodie was still making her choice, on the other side, Lars had just entered the Dungeon Hub. Even after coming here many times, he still couldn’t stop himself from being amazed by its futuristic design.

Most of the materials used to build the hub were obtained from high-rank dungeons, which was why its design looked so incredible. It had a stadium-like oval shape, but its walls were ever-changing, shifting colors every second like a chameleon’s skin.

Lars immediately headed to the Class Book shop and approached the man who was assisting Melodie.

"Hello, good afternoon. I want to sell a Class Book."

"Do you not see that I am busy? Can you wait a minute?" Juan said as he looked Lars up and down.

"It is okay, you can just go and attend to him. I still haven’t decided what to buy yet," Melodie said.

"Okay, miss, please take your time. Tch! Come with me." Juan expression immediately changed as he looked at Lars.

’What’s wrong with him?’ Lars frowned. As he walked to the counter, he took a glance at the girl before immediately froze and quickly covering his face.

’Shoot! I didn’t notice her. What is Melodie doing here?’ Lars thought.

Melodie was his junior back in high school. She was one of the top beauties in the school, and many men wished to have her as their girlfriend, Lars included. But she was someone with both beauty and status.

Her father was the CEO of a top company that handled dungeon businesses, while her older sister and brother were both S-Rank hunters, standing at the very top of the hunter hierarchy.

But that was exactly what made Lars feel uneasy.

’Why is she here buying a common starter class when her family can easily afford very rare classes?’

Lars fell into deep thought before he was called by the male staff, who was clearly irritated that his time with a beauty had been interrupted.

"Show me what you want to sell." Juan said. He had no expectations for Lars, assuming he would probably just sell a common class obtained from a nearby dungeon. He wanted to settle this quickly before going back to accompany Melodie.

"Here. Please check it. How much can you pay for it?" Lars handed over a white class book.

Juan took the book while smirking.

’Hmm... as expected, it’s just a Common...ahh! What is this?’ Suddenly, he was shocked.

"This class... where did you get it?" Juan’s voice rose slightly. Melodie was able to hear their conversation.

"Why are you reacting like that? I just... ermm, got it from a nearby dungeon. How much will it sell for?" Lars tried to cover the truth.

"This class book... this is the first time I’ve seen this class. So I don’t know its price yet. Please, let me check first."

After a few minutes, Juan finally spoke to Lars.

"Sorry, I cannot find any information about this class. This is the first time I’ve seen a new class after 10 years of working here. How much do you want to sell it for?"

"What price can it fetch?" Lars began the negotiation.

"Hmmm... 10,000 Zents."

"10,000?!"

Both Lars and Melodie were startled. Usually, a Common class would only sell for about 500 to 1,000 Zents. If it was a growth-type class, the price would be higher, but never had they heard of a Common class priced this high.

"Alright... deal-"

Just a second before Lars could finish his sentence, Melodie suddenly approached them.

"Can I take a look at that class book?" she asked Juan. Lars immediately stepped a few feet away from her.

Juan handed her the book, and she began examining it at once. She then used a Class Book Reader to read its contents.
