The familiar storefront of [Silverton Goods & Pawn] looked exactly the same as when I’d first stumbled in here over a week ago in

. Same wide mix of items seen through the windows, same window poster
promising fair deals on everything

annoying buzz of neon
. But this time, I walked in through the front door right away. With proof of identity in my pocket... and something of a lot more of sure

than a smartphone I knew little about.
