The trail left by the Soaring Snake on the sand hadn’t yet disappeared, but the strong winds during the night would cover it by morning.
Cang’er released her mental energy to trace the path the snake had taken. After Mia transmitted life force to Qi Ming again, his body was almost fully recovered, and the group prepared to move out.
The tent had already been destroyed, so for the next few days they needed to consider accommodations. Mo Sha Star had extreme temperature swings between day and night, so they had to find a sheltered spot.
After several battles, everyone had become much more familiar with each other.
Following the trail left by the Soaring Snake, they walked for over an hour. Dawn broke, and the temperature began to rise.
In the distance, a sparse-leaved Qiansui Orchid appeared on the sand. The Qiansui Orchid was the most common plant on Mo Sha Star. Its leaves were long, its rhizomes thick, and its roots went deep into the ground. Large Qiansui Orchids could even grow up to two meters tall.
Further ahead, after climbing over a tall sand dune, an orange-pink lake came into view.
The pink water sparkled under the sunlight, mysterious and dreamlike. Mia ran forward excitedly; her skin had been parched for too long, and she couldn’t wait to hydrate herself.
“Cang’er, the water in this lake is actually pink!”
“This is a desert salt lake,” Cang’er explained. “It contains a large amount of Dunaliella salina. When the temperature rises, the algae turns reddish under sunlight.” She blinked. With her photographic memory, she thought that if she were on Earth, she would definitely be a top university student.
“Mia, fill a bottle and see if you can purify it with your life force. This water can’t be drunk directly,” Jilin added.
“Sure, it should be fine.” Mia took her water bottle from her bag. After finishing the last sip inside, she ran excitedly to the lake, filling the bottle with pink water. Green life energy appeared in her palms, seeping slowly into the water. Gradually, the pink lake water became clear and transparent.
Fu An’an couldn’t resist either. She ran forward, ready to wash her face after being covered in sand and dust for so long. As she scooped up the water, she suddenly exclaimed, “There’s a huge pink stone at the bottom!” She quickly called everyone over.
Suddenly, the stone moved and swiftly began heading toward the center of the lake. Fu An’an’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“Ah, it’s trying to escape!” she shouted, diving into the water and chasing the large stone.
Seeing her charge ahead, Qi Ming quickly followed, instantly overtaking her.
The speed of a sensitive-assault combat soldier was no joke. He jumped into the lake and saw the fleeing pink stone that Fu An’an had mentioned. He pursued it relentlessly.
Like an arrow released from a bow, he darted across more than half the lake before surfacing with a watermelon-sized pink stone. Astonishingly, the stone was still struggling in his arms.
“What kind of weird thing is this?” Qi Ming asked.
“Xiangfei Stone Crystal!” Cang’er exclaimed, eyes wide.
“I’ve hit the jackpot! Blind cat meets dead mouse, weasel mouth hits the chicken!” Cang’er muttered, running toward the shore.
“Qi Ming, hold it tight! That’s one of the top ten rare high-level metals!”
Hearing this, Qi Ming immediately tightened his grip. The stone could barely move, struggling in vain. Fu An’an nervously flanked him, carefully assisting in escorting the stone.
Finally, they successfully transported it to the lakeshore.
Cang’er then waved her hand, producing a large piece of Mo Gold. Infusing it with mental energy, a big iron box appeared in her hands.
The two of them were stunned by her skillful operation.
Jilin, standing beside them, remained calm and collected. Could anything be more shocking than refining a massive shovel and instantly making it appear in her hands?
