Chapter 22

COSMIA ONLINE

The Fortune Teller's Prophecy

After arriving in Nergal City, Reina suggested that every guild member enjoy the city or spend their time however they wished. Since every member of Guild TEMPLAR was now on the same map, the Main Quest progress would still be shared across the entire guild.

"Go sightseeing or do whatever you'd like," Reina said. "Lisa and I will handle this quest."

Everyone nodded without objection.

Reina and Lisa immediately headed toward Fortune Teller Xina's house. Fortunately, its location was exactly where they remembered it from Kosmik Online.

Meanwhile, without anyone telling him to do so, Yukio hurried straight to the workshop of NPC Nael, the legendary Craftman rumored to teach the Catalyst Skill to talented blacksmiths.

Not long afterward, Reina and Lisa arrived at the fortune teller's home.

The wooden house was silent.

Inside, an elderly woman with long white hair sat quietly before a cracked crystal ball. The light within it had long since faded.

She slowly raised her head.

"How may I help you?"

Reina handed her Queen Clarissa's letter of recommendation.

Xina carefully read the letter before giving a slow nod.

"In that case..."

"I will try to divine the meaning behind Galdier's words."

She sighed softly.

"Unfortunately, my crystal ball is broken. I need a Ghost Crystal to repair it."

"Where can we find one?" Lisa asked.

"Go to the Frozen Graveyard, west of Nergal City."

"There you'll find the Mostro known as Ghost of Sadness."

"You can obtain a Ghost Crystal there."

Reina and Lisa exchanged glances.

As MMORPG veterans, quests that required collecting items for NPCs were nothing unusual.

Without wasting another moment, they headed toward the Frozen Graveyard.

Along the way, Reina noticed the members of Guild TEMPLAR enjoying Nergal City.

Some were browsing equipment in weapon shops.

Others chatted with NPCs or simply wandered through the snow-covered streets, taking in a city unlike any they had visited before.

Reina smiled quietly as she watched them.

Soon they arrived at the Frozen Graveyard.

A thin mist covered the ancient cemetery.

Dozens of Ghost of Sadness Lv.80 drifted silently among the old gravestones.

"Let's begin," Reina said.

The two immediately started hunting.

One ghost fell.

Then two.

Ten.

Fifty.

A hundred.

Yet the Ghost Crystal they sought never appeared.

Lisa let out a weary sigh.

"Maybe the drop rate is just incredibly low."

Reina merely nodded and continued defeating another ghost.

Then...

She suddenly stopped.

Beyond a row of weathered gravestones, she noticed the faint outline of a small cave entrance, almost completely hidden behind overgrown bushes.

"What is it?" Lisa asked.

"I don't know..."

"I just want to take a look."

The two carefully approached.

Inside the tiny cave sat a young boy, quietly staring at an old gravestone.

"What are you doing here?" Reina asked.

"This place is dangerous."

The boy slowly turned toward them.

"I'm hungry..."

Reina looked at Lisa.

"Do you have any food?"

Lisa opened her inventory and took out a Rice Roll, a food item commonly used as an HP recovery meal.

The boy accepted it with sparkling eyes.

"Thank you."

He quickly finished eating.

A moment later, he spoke again.

"I'm thirsty..."

Reina and Lisa exchanged another glance.

They first offered him an ordinary HP Potion.

The boy shook his head.

"I don't want that."

Suddenly, Lisa remembered something.

"Wait..."

She searched her inventory and found a Clean Water, a rare item they had previously obtained from Ghost of Sadness.

She immediately handed it to him.

The boy drank every last drop.

A gentle smile spread across his face.

"Thank you..."

Moments later, his body slowly began fading away.

Before disappearing completely, he gently placed a transparent crystal atop the gravestone.

Reina immediately picked it up.

Ghost Crystal

Reina and Lisa stood in silence.

"So..."

"It wasn't a Mostro drop after all," Lisa muttered.

Reina rubbed her forehead.

"That fortune teller really tricked us..."

Wearing an annoyed expression, she stored the Ghost Crystal inside her inventory.

They immediately returned to Fortune Teller Xina's house.

As soon as they entered, Reina held the Ghost Crystal up in front of her.

"You said this was a Mostro drop."

Xina simply chuckled.

"Hehehe..."

"I'm sorry."

"I completely forgot."

Reina could only let out another long sigh.

Fortunately, the Ghost Crystal was exactly what Xina needed.

Not long afterward, she successfully repaired the crystal ball.

The cracks slowly disappeared.

A soft blue light filled its interior once again.

The room fell silent.

Xina closed her eyes and began chanting.

The crystal ball glowed brighter and brighter.

Several moments later, she opened her eyes.

"I cannot see the answer to Galdier's question."

Reina and Lisa exchanged puzzled looks.

"But..."

"I can see your next destination."

Xina pointed toward the north.

"Go to the Astral Forest, beyond the northern edge of Nergal City."

"There is a cave hidden there."

"Inside that cave stands a gravestone emitting a mysterious light."

"What are we supposed to do there?" Lisa asked.

"You must destroy the Sacred Crystal."

"What for?"

Xina slowly shook her head.

"I don't know."

"My vision ends there."

"Then how do we obtain the Sacred Crystal?" Reina asked.

"From what I saw..."

"The Sacred Crystal can be obtained from the Mostro living within Astral Forest."

Reina narrowed her eyes.

"Are you absolutely sure it's really a Mostro drop this time?"

Xina smiled awkwardly.

"Don't worry..."

"This time that's truly what I saw."

"And if you're wrong again?"

"Hehehe..."

Lisa quickly grabbed Reina's arm.

"Let's just leave it."

"Thank you, Xina."

"We'll head there immediately."

Xina nodded.

"If you discover anything..."

"Please come back."

"I want to uncover the truth behind this prophecy as well."

Reina and Lisa nodded before leaving the fortune teller's house.

After returning to Nergal City's central square, Reina gathered every member of Guild TEMPLAR.

Soon everyone had assembled, including Yukio, who had just returned from NPC Nael's workshop.

"You look pretty satisfied," Rian teased.

Yukio grinned proudly.

"I successfully learned the Catalyst Skill."

Several members immediately applauded.

Reina then explained their next destination.

"According to what I remember, Astral Forest is home to two types of Mostro."

"Demonic, a male demon, Level 90."

"And Demonia, a female demon, Level 95."

"Their levels are lower than ours."

"But don't let your guard down."

"They always attack in groups."

Everyone nodded, understanding the warning.

Without delaying any longer, Guild TEMPLAR left Nergal City and continued their journey toward Astral Forest, where the next clue in Cosmia History awaited them.
