Natsuyu looked at the hopeful Kikyo Kushida standing in front of him and couldn’t help but complain internally.
“What do you mean ‘you chose yes’?
Anyway, I’m Natsuyu Rurikawa.
Nice to meet you.”
‘Would any sane person actually agree to such a bizarre prompt just to make friends?!’
Furthermore, Natsuyu noticed a key difference in the Main God Space prompt selection.
His prompt had asked about “understanding the meaning of life”, whereas Kushida’s prompt had asked about “making friends”.
The system clearly tailored its prompts based on the individual.
This detail perfectly reflected Kikyo Kushida’s core character drive—or rather, her single-minded obsession.
“Yay!
From now on, we’re friends~.
Rurikawa-kun, did you get kidnapped here because you picked No?”
Kushida felt a sudden wave of self-satisfaction.
‘Fwuh!
I managed to win over this handsome guy and make him my friend on the very first try!’
‘Wait…
Rurikawa…
that family name sounds kinda familiar, like someone mentioned it before…’
Kushida tilted her head with a cute, smiling expression, making adorable little humming sounds.
In Natsuyu’s eyes, her behavior bordered on overly manipulative green-tea acting.
Not that Natsuyu hated green-tea girls, though.
It seemed Kushida was far more preoccupied with making new friends than worrying about their current supernatural abduction.
‘Sister Kikyo, your family really needs to hire a professional carpenter to fix the loose screws in your head.’
“Oh, right…”
Kushida asked with a confused look, “Rurikawa-kun, what does ‘To get rich, chop down a tree first’ mean?”
‘What does it mean?!
You heard the whole damn thing, so what do you think it means?!’
Natsuyu’s eyes narrowed into slits for a second before he reluctantly changed the subject:
“It’s nothing…
Kushida-san, your clothes are covered in mud.”
Natsuyu was fairly particular about personal hygiene and attire.
Noticing the mud stains on Kushida’s back, he used it as an excuse to divert her attention toward cleaning off her clothes and hair.
‘Phew…
managed to dodge that bullet.’
‘Having to shout embarrassing spells out loud to unlock achievements is the most evil invention of the century!’
Patting down her outfit to keep the conversation going, Kushida spoke in a sweet, pleading tone:
“Rurikawa-kun, your back is a little dirty too.
Want me to help you brush it off?”
“I can do it myself.”
Natsuyu had already started dusting himself off.
“I was just about to ask…
do you know what kind of door that is, Rurikawa-kun?”
Natsuyu stared at the gleaming portal with concern.
“Like I told you, I only woke up a few minutes before you did.
I’m also trying to figure out what’s behind that door, and whether it can take us back home.”
“Are we really stuck in some supernatural event…?
It doesn’t feel real at all.”
Kushida mutters to herself, “I wonder what’s behind that door…”
“AAAAAHHHHH!”
A shrill, soul-shattering scream suddenly echoed from behind the door—a terrified shriek as if a girl had just witnessed a nightmare, raw and soul-piercing!
“Ugh!”
Both Natsuyu and Kushida flinched.
Kushida grabbed Natsuyu’s arm with both hands, her shoulders trembling as she stared at the glowing gate in horror.
“Wait…
someone’s behind the door!”
Natsuyu made a split-second assessment.
The scream hadn’t come from inside the swirling portal, but from the physical space behind the door frame.
“Hah…
hah?”
Still reeling from shock, Kushida clung tightly to Natsuyu’s arm as he led her around the side of the massive clock gate to see what was beyond.
A slender girl with short white hair that faded into pink highlights at the tips was staring at the back of the gate with wide, terror-stricken eyes.
The three-meter-tall wooden doorway was tangled in thick vines.
Near the top clock, the vines formed a crude noose, suspending the lifeless body of a young girl wearing a black and red pleated gothic dress.
Her face was obscured by jet-black bangs, her body bound in emerald-green tendrils, while delicate, blood-red spider lilies bloomed around the base—creating a cruel yet hauntingly beautiful scene.
The pink-and-white-haired girl was screaming hysterically at the sight of the dead girl in the gothic dress.
Beside her lay two other unconscious girls on the ground.
One was a European girl with twin white braids.
The other was an Asian girl with long, straight black hair wearing a neat Japanese high school uniform.
Natsuyu was visibly taken aback by the gruesome sight.
He could completely understand why a young girl waking up face-to-face with a hanging corpse would lose her mind.
“Stop looking.”
Natsuyu immediately stepped forward, blocking the pink-haired girl’s view of the corpse, and placed a firm, comforting hand on her shoulder.
“Don’t be afraid.”
“S-Someone died!”
Kushida panicked as well, gripping Natsuyu’s other arm tightly, her shoulders shaking even harder.
Natsuyu maintained a calm, steady tone to soothe them both.
“It’s alright.
She wasn’t killed by some monster—it looks like she was hanged by the vines.
Let’s move away from this strange door first so nothing else happens.”
“Even if something unexpected pops up, I’ll protect you.”
Natsuyu wasn’t 100% sure of the situation himself, but he knew he couldn’t let panic spread.
A calm, composed team was essential for survival.
If team members lost their cool, mutual trust and cooperation would crumble.
So, taking on the role of the mature man in the group, Natsuyu offered them a reassuring presence.
Kushida and Emma Sakuraba found their anchor in him.
Seeing Natsuyu’s composed expression and tall, reliable frame, their terror gradually subsided.
“Ugh…
what’s with all the damn noise?
Can’t a girl get some sleep around here?”
The European girl sat up on the ground, rubbing her eyes with a grumpy scowl, looking thoroughly annoyed at being woken up.
Then, her gaze fell upon the hanging corpse.
Natsuyu prepared to step in and calm her down, but noticed she was only mildly startled, frowning as she surveyed her surroundings.
“Where the hell am I…?
Wasn’t I just on the bus heading to Changkong City?”
Meanwhile, the other girl with long, straight black hair also opened her eyes.
She stared intently at the hanging body.
Though her face turned slightly pale, she didn’t scream or panic either.
Natsuyu was surprised by their remarkable composure.
Looking at them closely, both girls appeared extraordinarily familiar!
The Japanese high school student wore ankle boots, knee-high black socks, had striking blue eyes, and a flat chest.
‘Yukinoshita Yukino?’
‘Why did this weird place drag her all the way from Chiba, Japan?!’
The European girl possessed twin white braids, sky-blue eyes, a white JK uniform, and black knee-high socks.
Her figure was considerably curvier than Yukino’s.
She looked to be the same age as Kushida, standing just slightly shorter than Natsuyu, radiating a healthy, athletic vibe.
‘Kiana?!’
‘Why is someone from Honkai Impact 3rd here?!’
Natsuyu was certain that his original everyday Crossover Anime World in Japan had zero supernatural powers.
At the very least, he had never encountered any supernatural phenomena, so apocalyptic threats like the Honkai definitely didn’t exist in his world.
In other words, Kiana and he didn’t come from the same dimension—they belonged to entirely different parallel universes!
This place wasn’t just summoning people from Natsuyu’s world; it was dragging characters from completely separate anime multiverses into one shared survival realm!
