Lin Yu quickly adjusted his crosshair, moving it towards Long A.

The next second, just as he expected, a CT appeared in his crosshair, and Lin Yu fired another shot.

However, this shot was a bit awkward; the bullet hit the wall behind the CT, failing to take down the CT retaking from Long A.Full novel: CS2: I Can Play 48 Hours a Day — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The reason for the mistake was simple: he hadn't practiced this part yet.

The time spent in the Black Room wasn't too long or too short; he had only practiced the sections from A Short corner, stairs, and A Platform. As for the rest, it wasn't that Lin Yu didn't want to practice, but he simply couldn't survive that long.

So currently, he only had three tricks up his sleeve.

However, even though he missed, he had plenty of teammates around him, and the opponent's aim wasn't great either. They also missed a shot, failing to kill Lin Yu, which gave the Terrorists a chance to help him.

Countless Terrorist heads swarmed out of A Short like bees from a disturbed hive, shooting as they ran, continuously hitting the CT at Long A.

This flustered the CT at Long A, and their already poor aim worsened. Within two or three seconds, they were overwhelmed by the Terrorists from A Short, leaving only a shout of "All low!"

Soon, with the bomb planted, the roles of attack and defense switched.

Lin Yu, not being a native of this rank, knew that not everyone should crowd into A Site. He had enough game sense for that.

So under his command, the Terrorists planted an A Short bomb, while he stayed behind at A Short.

Soon, the CTs retaking from B Site began jumping onto the Mid boxes.

Unfortunately, their movement wasn't great, and they failed the jump. Lin Yu clearly heard them jump and then land, which gave him time to prepare.

Although he hadn't practiced defending A Short, he had attacked enough to gather some experience. He chose a position he thought was hard to hit, above the stairs near the boxes.

This spot was close to Long A and far from A Short, allowing him to see the Terrorists first. The downside was being vulnerable to flashes, so professional players usually avoided it.

But Lin Yu knew that at this rank, the Terrorists didn't have flashes, and the CTs were even less likely to use them. All he needed to do was wait for a chance.

Soon, the CT retaking from A Short appeared, but what surprised Lin Yu was their unusual approach.

They didn't wide swing or jump peek; they just crept out silently.

Not to mention that being close to Long A and far from A Short allowed him to see them first, the silent approach gave Lin Yu plenty of reaction time.

Lin Yu didn't hesitate. He adjusted his crosshair, and the moment the opponent appeared, he pressed the left mouse button. A bullet hit the opponent's head, followed by a quick adjustment to their body for another shot, securing a double kill in the pistol round.

Meanwhile, his teammates' battle was nearing its end. One full-health CT was beaten to death by the Terrorists, and the remaining CT, low on health, played cautiously, hiding deep in CT Spawn.

But the Terrorists didn't care about playing fair. Seeing only one CT left, they charged in with a shout.

However, they didn't use guns; they chose to pull out knives.

At this rank, if they could use a taser, they wouldn't use a knife; if they could use a knife, they wouldn't shoot. It was all about having fun.

Facing a group of charging Terrorists, the player named Makoto Ito was clearly flustered, firing his USP rapidly, but many bullets missed, passing through the crowd. Eventually, a Terrorist got right in his face.

The knife was raised and fell.

A kill notification appeared in the top right corner.

Seeing this, Lin Yu was momentarily stunned, then thought to himself that, in a way, it matched the original work.

In the second round, Lin Yu chose a Galil and asked his teammates for an A Short smoke.

This time, his teammates were reliable, with one knowing how to throw the smoke. Using it, Lin Yu smoothly advanced to A Short, quickly taking down two CTs who had pushed close with a human ladder.

His impressive performance prompted the opponent to type in the chat.

[Are you hacking?]

The story continued with similar scenes, as Lin Yu transformed into the god of A Short. Whenever there was a gunfight near A Short, nine times out of ten, Lin Yu would come out on top.

This rank had another characteristic: stubbornness. If they couldn't win once, they'd try twice; if twice failed, they'd call their friends.

Eventually, more and more people crowded A Short, until Lin Yu killed three in one go, making the CTs realize they needed to fall back to safer positions and unconventional spots to defend.

But it was too late; the score gap had widened significantly, ending at 16:7.

After the match, in the results screen, Lin Yu's record was a luxurious 35 (kills)/9 (assists)/10 (deaths).

Wei Cheng could hardly believe Lin Yu's transformation. He did have a good performance, as he said, with a record of 13/4/9, but compared to Lin Yu, it was nothing.

However, praising his friend was out of the question.

Wei Cheng just scratched his head and stubbornly said, "You were in good form today."

Lin Yu glanced at the time; it was already late. Considering tomorrow was Monday and they had classes, he shut down the computer, looked at Wei Cheng, and said, "I'll be like this every day from now on."

Wei Cheng was taken aback, then sarcastically replied, "Damn, you're really showing off now. You'll be back to normal tomorrow."

After that, the two stopped talking and prepared to sleep.

Their dorm had four beds, but two of their roommates lived nearby and went home every weekend, only staying at school from Monday to Thursday.

So even though it was already one or two in the morning, they weren't worried about disturbing anyone's rest.

Lying in bed, Lin Yu reflected on everything that happened today, his eyes unable to hide his excitement.

He never expected the system's training to be so effective. Just from today's performance, he could clearly feel his skills improving.

Focusing on A Short alone, under the system's special training, he believed he was no worse than some S-tier players. With continued hard work, he could become even stronger.

However, thinking about the Black Room brought a bitter smile to his face; it was truly torturous.

But he understood that every professional player practiced hundreds or thousands of times to finally stand on that stage.

He wasn't particularly talented, so he had to rely on hard work.

Finally, Lin Yu looked at the Effort Points section.

[Effort Points: 1423]

Indeed, compared to before, his Effort Points had increased by 28. Combined with the recent match, it was clear that defeating enemies in the real world also counted towards his Effort Points.
