The party was reaching its peak. The rooftop thrummed with heavy bass, colorful lights sweeping across the crowd as more people flooded the dance floor. Laughter mixed with shouts and the clink of glasses. In the middle of it all, Roy and Jennifer danced with the group of aspiring models, letting loose.

Leo stood at the bar, mocktail in hand, watching everything with calm, unreadable amber eyes.

Jennifer was glowing. Sweat glistened on her collarbone and the curve of her breasts, making the sequins on her red dress sparkle even brighter. Her cheeks were flushed, ponytail swinging as she moved to the beat. She looked exhausted but genuinely happy, laughing as she danced — a rare, carefree smile on her face.Full novel: Cursed Until I See Her Cheat (Reverse NTR) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Roy's eyes, however, were pure lust. He stayed close behind her, hands occasionally brushing her waist, his gaze locked on the way the dress clung to her body.

Leo's attention never wavered.

A short-haired blonde walked up beside him at the bar. She was wearing a tight black mini dress that hugged her full curves — generous cleavage on full display, the hem riding high on her toned thighs. She ordered a shot of vodka with a sharp flick of her wrist.

"Why don't you join them?" she asked, voice edged with annoyance.

Leo didn't reply. He simply took another slow sip of his drink, eyes never leaving Jennifer and Roy.

The blonde clicked her tongue. "You're really just gonna ignore me, too? Fuck, what's wrong with guys tonight?"

Leo finally turned his head, expression cool and unbothered. "I'm not ignoring you. I just didn't know you."

She downed the shot in one go, slammed the glass on the counter, and looked at him with pure frustration.

"I'm Sabrina," she said flatly. "A desperate whore trying to get close to Roy so I can land a job at his father's company."

Even the bartender paused mid-pour.

Leo leaned against the counter, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Then why are you still standing here? Go make your move."

Sabrina let out a short, bitter laugh. "I already did. I had that bastard wrapped around my finger… until you and that silver-haired bitch showed up."

Leo had to fight back a genuine chuckle at how openly crude she was.

"You do know she's my girlfriend, right?" he asked, voice even.

Back on the dance floor, Jennifer was vibing to the music when her eyes suddenly caught Leo at the bar. He was smiling — actually smiling — while talking to the short-haired blonde who had been making out with Roy earlier.

Her face darkened instantly.

She stopped dancing mid-motion. Without a word to the girls around her, she pushed through the crowd toward the bar.

Roy, who had been right behind her, noticed her sudden departure. His expression twisted with irritation as he watched her walk away.

"Fucking bitch," he muttered under his breath. "Spoiling my fun…"

Jennifer pushed through the crowd and immediately slid into Leo's side, slipping her arm around his waist and pressing herself against him.

"Babe, who's this?" she asked, her voice light but her smile tightly controlled.

Leo's hand settled naturally on the small of her back, fingers resting just above the curve of her ass. He smiled, calm as ever. "Just an interesting stranger." This chapter is updated first at NovelPing.

Sabrina let out a short, amused chuckle and downed another shot. She set the empty glass on the counter and extended her hand toward Jennifer with zero hesitation.

"I'm Sabrina."

Jennifer took it, a little wary. "Jennifer."

Sabrina's grin turned wicked. "So… you guys down for a threesome?"

Jennifer's mouth fell open. "Wha— what?"

Leo turned his head, barely holding back a genuine laugh.

Roy appeared out of nowhere, sliding in fast. He clamped a hand over Sabrina's mouth and pulled her back with a forced laugh. "Haha, she's just joking. Excuse us."

He dragged Sabrina away before she could say anything else.

Jennifer turned to Leo, eyes narrowed. "Why are you laughing?"

Leo pulled her closer, sliding his arm fully around her waist until her ass pressed back against him. He leaned down, lips brushing her ear. "I don't know. Maybe I'm interested."

"Leo!" Jennifer hissed, half-shocked, half-amused, swatting his chest.

Leo chuckled and kissed the side of her neck softly. "I'm joking. So… you having fun here?"

Jennifer hummed, relaxing into him as the music pulsed around them. Her hips shifted subtly, rubbing back against him. "It's awesome. Rich people really live in a different world than us, huh?"

Leo kissed her neck again, a small smile on his lips.

The group of girls Jennifer had been dancing with earlier finally spotted them. Their eyes landed on Leo and widened. Even though they worked in the fashion industry, Leo's presence — tall, muscular, sharp features, quiet intensity — hit different. They stood there for a second, openly staring.

Jennifer noticed and laughed smugly, pulling Leo forward. "Girls, this is my boyfriend Leo. Leo, these are the models I was dancing with."

Roy rejoined them a moment later, flashing his usual confident grin. "Ugh, so are you guys ready to party all night or what?"

The girls cheered. Jennifer laughed along with them.

Leo sighed inwardly. Fuck… I really don't want to do this.

He pulled out his phone, glanced at the screen, and put on a concerned expression. "Sorry, I just got an important call from my sister. I need to take this."

He excused himself from the group and made his way toward the restroom.

Standing in front of the mirror, Leo gripped the edge of the counter hard, veins standing out on the backs of his hands. He stared at his own reflection, jaw tight.

He knew exactly what he had to do. But his ego and pride were making it difficult. This wasn't about affection for Jennifer or any of the others — it was about him. About control. About being the one who decided when and how things happened.

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"It's okay," he muttered under his breath. "We'll get our chance. This is the only way."

He composed his face back into its usual calm mask and left the bathroom. New chapters come out on g.com first.

When he returned, the group had moved to the dartboard area. Roy was in the middle of bragging loudly after hitting another bullseye.

Jennifer noticed him immediately and smiled. "Leo! Do you know how to play darts? We can't stop Roy from bragging over here."

Roy turned with a cocky grin. "What do you say, Leo? Care for a game?"

Leo shook his head. "I don't think I can beat you. Besides, I need to leave. My sister called me."

Jennifer's smile faded slightly. "Is it urgent?"

Leo nodded. "Yeah."

Jennifer stepped closer. "Then let's go together—"

"You can stay a bit longer, babe," Leo said gently. "I have to drive straight to my sister's place, so I can't drop you off. Stay and enjoy the party. Roy can drop you off later."

Roy, who had been listening, immediately smiled. "No problem at all, bro. I'll make sure she gets home safe."

Jennifer looked reluctant, clearly wanting to leave with Leo, but seeing the seriousness in his eyes, she finally nodded. "Alright… drive safe, okay?"

Leo gave her a small nod and a quick kiss on the forehead. "I will."

As he turned and walked toward the exit, Roy's eyes followed him. A dark, satisfied smirk crept across Roy's face as he glanced back at Jennifer.

Leo stepped out of the elevator and into the cool night air of the valet area. The thumping music from the rooftop faded behind him as the doors closed.

A plastic bottle lay on the ground near the curb. Without breaking stride, Leo gave it a casual flick with the side of his foot. The bottle spun upward in a perfect arc. His hand shot out, caught it mid-air, and with a smooth, almost lazy flick of the wrist, he tossed it backward over his shoulder.

It sailed cleanly through the air and landed straight into the trash bin ten feet away with a soft thunk.

He didn't even glance back.

The valet pulled up in his old silver Honda a moment later. The young man's face remained professionally neutral, but the slight hesitation in his movements showed he wasn't used to parking cars like this at such an upscale event.

Leo didn't bother tipping. He simply slid into the driver's seat, started the engine, and drove off without a word.

A few blocks away, he pulled into a quiet side street and parked under the shadow of a large tree. The old Honda creaked as he pushed the seat all the way back, giving himself room to stretch his legs.

From the glove compartment, he pulled out a slightly crumpled pack of cigarettes. He didn't smoke often — not out of concern for his health or his work, but simply because he was too poor to waste money on the habit.

He lit one, took a long, slow drag, and let the smoke curl out through the cracked window.

"System," he said quietly, voice low and steady. "Open omniscient view for Jennifer."

The dark-blue holographic screen instantly materialized in front of him, expanding until it covered most of the windshield like a private cinema display. The party scene unfolded in crystal-clear real time, picking up exactly from the moment Leo had left.

It was like watching a movie — except this movie was live, and he could zoom in, rewind a few seconds, or even dive into Jennifer's thoughts if he chose.
