The Eclipse Club stood like a black jewel in the heart of Downtown LA — a towering, ultra-exclusive venue that catered to every desire the wealthy and the wicked could imagine. Weapons deals happened in private VIP booths.

Drugs flowed like champagne. High-end prostitutes moved through the crowd like shadows. Gambling tables in the basement ran games that could bankrupt small countries. Literally everything had a price here, and the club made sure no one left unsatisfied.

Mia Ito walked through the main floor with measured grace. Her long, deep burgundy hair was styled in an elegant high bun secured with ornate black-and-gold chopsticks, a few loose strands framing her sharp, intelligent face. Thin gold-rimmed glasses sat on her nose, accentuating her cool, calculating eyes.Full novel: Cursed Until I See Her Cheat (Reverse NTR) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She wore a fitted black turtleneck that hugged her full breasts, a tight mini skirt that accentuated her hips and long legs, and sheer black stockings with delicate lace tops. A long, open coat draped over her shoulders, swaying with each step. Her stiletto heels clicked sharply against the polished marble floor, the sound cutting through the low thump of bass music like a metronome.

She pushed open a discreet door at the back of the club and stepped into a dimly lit private room.

Inside, two identical, burly men — bald, thick-bearded, with heavy Russian features — stood silently behind a chair where Adam was tied up. His wrists were bound tightly to the armrests, and a gag hung loosely around his neck.

Adam's eyes widened the moment Mia entered. Wow… what a dangerous combination, he thought, a nervous flush creeping up his neck. Lethal but Hot…

On the far side of the room, Victor Kane lounged on a large leather couch. His long black hair was tied back in a loose ponytail, and his piercing ice-blue eyes gleamed under the low lights.

He had one leg propped on the coffee table, a half-eaten packet of crackers in one hand, and a worn comic book titled He Conquers It All resting on his thigh. His powerful frame and broad shoulders filled the couch, exuding quiet menace even while relaxed.

Mia's heels clicked as she crossed the room. She glanced at the twins, who remained stone-faced and silent, their eyes flicking toward Victor.

Mia stopped in front of the couch. "Victor," she said, voice smooth and controlled, "what's going on here?"

Victor crunched another cracker loudly, not bothering to look up from the comic at first. "Our friend Adam here took a loan from us to gamble," he said casually, brushing crumbs from his shirt. "And he's been dodging us ever since."

Mia's brows rose. She turned her gaze to Adam, who gave her a nervous, lopsided smile.

"I was gonna pay up, you know," Adam said quickly, trying to sound charming. "Just needed a little more time, Miss. I can be your slave if you want — whatever you need."

Mia's expression twisted into clear disgust. She turned back to Victor. "So you brought him here? You could've left this to the others, Victor. We have actual work to discuss."

Victor smiled, slow and dangerous. He set the comic book aside and stood up, unfolding to his full, imposing height. His broad shoulders and powerful frame filled the space as he walked over to Adam.

"If it were only about a little cash, I wouldn't waste my time, Mia," Victor said, voice low and gravelly. He stopped behind Adam and placed one large hand on the back of the chair. His fingers were thick enough to wrap around Adam's skull if he chose. "But this guy blurted out something very interesting while trying to bluff me."

Mia tilted her head. "Bluff?"

Victor's fingers tightened slightly on the chair. "Tell her what you told me about the Sin Triad, kid."

Adam chuckled nervously, sweat beading on his forehead. "I said it's not my first time dealing with thugs like you…" He gulped, voice shaking. "A few years back, the Sin Triad beat me up over some little incident. But after I told my friend, he took care of it with a single call. So… so you guys better leave me alone. My friend has connections to the underworld."

Mia looked at Adam like he was the biggest fool she had ever seen.

Victor grinned. "I don't know if this idiot is bluffing or not… but Mia, you do know what happened to the Sin Triad, right?"

Mia didn't reply, but her eyes narrowed. She knew exactly what he was referring to. One of the Sin Triad's branches had been found butchered — a gruesome, professional massacre that had sent ripples through the entire underworld. The perpetrators were never caught.

If Adam was telling the truth, even a small clue about who was responsible could be worth a fortune.

Victor's ice-blue eyes gleamed with dark amusement as he looked at Mia.

The room grew heavier with tension.

Leo drove the BMW slowly toward Eclipse Club, parking it a safe distance away in a shadowed side street. He killed the engine, the low growl fading into silence. The club's neon sign pulsed like a heartbeat in the distance, promising every vice imaginable behind its dark walls.

He reached for the glove compartment out of habit, expecting the familiar weight of his silenced pistol. Instead, his fingers brushed against nothing but a few loose papers and receipts.

"Ah, shit… I actually forgot my gun," he muttered, leaning back in the luxurious seat. This story is hosted at g.com.

He took a slow, deep breath and stared at the glowing sign ahead. Maybe it's for the better. We didn't come here to fight. We deal with this peacefully.

Before he could open the door, the familiar dark-blue holographic screen materialized in front of him.

[New Quest Activated]

A Wolf Needs Its Minions to Hunt the Prey

Objective: Subdue the Eclipse Gang and bring them under your influence.

Main Target: Victor "The Butcher" Kane – Leader of The Velvet Chains / Eclipse Club operations.

Reward: Major System Points + New Permanent Assets + Significant Corruption Acceleration on Linked Prey.

Leo blinked, staring at the glowing text in disbelief.

"Really, System?" he growled, voice low and rough. "Of all the goddamn times you pick to drop a quest on me? Subdue them? You think these pieces of shit are kids I can just bribe with candy? Fuck, you could've just told me to put a bullet in them — at least I'd have a shot. I'm absolute shit at negotiations…"

The System remained silent. The quest window hovered stubbornly in his vision, waiting for his decision.

Leo kicked the back of the driver's seat with his heel. "Whatever… let's do this," he snarled. "Anything beats sitting around watching your girlfriend get stolen."

He opened the System Shop and navigated to the Information Pack section. A bar appeared:

Information PackPrice depends on the complexity and sensitivity of the requested information.

Leo typed quickly: Eclipse Club – Full details on leadership, core members, operations, weaknesses, and strategic leverage points.

Cost: 3,000 System Points

He had exactly enough after the recent rewards. He confirmed the purchase with a mental command.

The System processed it instantly. A detailed holographic report unfolded in front of him.

Eclipse Club / The Velvet Chains – Intelligence Summary

Club Overview:

Public front: High-end nightclub catering to the rich and powerful.

Hidden operations: Major hub for drugs, weapons trafficking, high-class prostitution, illegal gambling, and debt collection.

Owned and operated by The Velvet Chains.

Leadership:

Victor "The Butcher" Kane – Muscle and intimidation. Ex-underground fighter. Extremely strong, high pain tolerance, brutal close-quarters style. Weakness: Overconfidence and quick temper when disrespected.

Mia Ito – The real strategist and brains of the operation. Handles planning, intelligence, finances, and blackmail. Highly intelligent, calculating, and ambitious. Weakness: Fascination with talented, unpredictable individuals.

Core Members:

The Russian Twins (Dmitri & Ivan) – Victor's personal enforcers. Heavy muscle, loyal but not particularly bright.

Key Weakness & Strategic Path (Non-Lethal Subdual): The group is currently under heavy financial pressure due to a lost high-value drug shipment and recent police scrutiny. When they heard some kid blabbering about knowing the identity of the Sin Triad perpetrator, they kidnapped him in the hopes of finding a clue. They want to use it to leverage the Sin Triad. You are reading on novelping.com, the official source.

Suggestion: Show yourself as a mysterious person who doesn't care about wealth or strength. Display absolute dominance. Victor may be a muscle head, but Mia is a very sharp individual. If she finds even a hint of a bluff, they won't stop with you… They will butcher your whole family.

Leo read the last line and let out a bitter laugh.

"Right… what a splendid fucking motivation, bro. Really," he muttered sarcastically.

He closed the report, took one last deep breath, and stepped out of the BMW. The cool night air hit his face as the club's neon lights pulsed in the distance.

"Time to go make some new friends."

Leo stepped out of the BMW and started walking toward the club. The evening sun cast long shadows across the pavement, painting the streets in deep gold and crimson. He didn't bother hiding his face or moving with stealth. There was no need. This wasn't an assassination — it was a negotiation. Simple as that.

Two burly guards stood at the main entrance, arms crossed, blocking the heavy doors.

"Club's closed," one of them grunted. "Private event tonight. Leave."

Leo stopped a few feet away, hands in the pockets of his hoodie. He looked at them with the same lazy, half-lidded expression he wore in class.

"Tell Victor Kane I'm here," he said calmly. "He'll understand."

The guards tensed instantly. Their hands moved to their earpieces as they exchanged glances. After a short, murmured conversation, one of them nodded.

A moment later, confirmation came through.

The guard who had spoken stepped forward and gave Leo a quick, professional pat-down for weapons. Finding none, he straightened.

"Welcome," he said, voice neutral but respectful. "Let me escort you."

Leo followed the guard inside without a word. To any observer, he looked completely relaxed — shoulders loose, steps unhurried — but his sharp amber eyes flicked across every detail: emergency exits, camera blind spots, the layout of the main floor, possible choke points, and the exact number of visible security personnel. He memorized it all in seconds.

In the dimly lit private room, Mia Ito stood in front of a wall of monitors, watching the live feed. Her eyes narrowed as Leo appeared on screen, walking casually behind the guard.

"He came completely unarmed," she murmured, voice low. "Is he really that arrogant… or too confident?"

Victor Kane let out a deep, rumbling laugh from the couch, clearly amused. He leaned forward, elbows on his knees.

"Don't mistake that lazy attitude, Mia," he said, grinning. "That guy could kill the guard in seconds if he wanted to. He's just faking it."

Mia's expression remained cold and professional. She adjusted her glasses and spoke firmly.

"Let me do the talking. And don't throw any foolish challenges. We can't afford to lose ground here."

Victor raised both hands in mock surrender, still smiling.

"The stage is all yours, boss."

The door to the private room clicked open.

Leo stepped inside, his presence filling the space without effort. His eyes swept the room once — taking in the twins, Adam tied to the chair, Victor's powerful frame, and Mia's sharp gaze — before settling on the group with calm, unreadable focus.

The tension in the air thickened instantly.
