"And so, Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando sank into the sea..."
Sitting in the church, Sion held Meteria's hand and told her stories from Earth.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood focuses on the Golden Spirit and the Dark Will.
Sion felt that Meteria was very suitable for this story.
As for himself, would it not be too much of an exaggeration to say he possessed the Dark Will?
However, he and Dio did have similarities, the same ambition and a strong mentality of overcoming fate and surpassing the gods.
Meteria's terminal illness was, in a sense, a part of fate, and to overcome it was to overcome fate itself.
"It's so tragic that happiness was so hard to come by, only to be cruelly taken away."
Meteria murmured, unable to pull herself out of the sorrowful ending.
"Jonathan was unlucky because he met Dio, and fate turned into a cage, imprisoning them together. But he was also lucky because he protected his wife and children."
Sion commented on the work from a different perspective, "For human beings, loneliness is terrible, but what is even more terrible is to gain sunlight and then be deprived of it."
"This ending is both tragic and fortunate for Jonathan, but for Dio, it represents an absolute defeat to fate."
"But for Jonathan's wife, Erina, she's the ones who suffer the most."
Are the living the ones who suffer the most...?
Meteria suddenly understood the second reason Sion told this story.
"Do not worry, I will not leave you."
Meteria held Sion's hand tightly and smiled gently, "Have we not been working towards this all along?"
"Hmm... I was not worried about that... well, actually I was."
Sion said helplessly, "You seem gentle, but you're actually opinionated. No matter what it is, I hope you can think of me whenever you are troubled, and not make bad decisions impulsively."
"Well, I am not that stupid."
Meteria puffed out her cheeks in dissatisfaction.
"This is not a lack of trust."
Sion chuckled and said, "No matter how wise a person is, their thinking will still be narrow. No matter how powerful a person is, their power will still be limited."
"We need to recognize this, and then combine our strength to face the difficulties together."
"In this way, we will crush difficulties when we encounter them and slay gods if they trouble us, we'll eventually overcome difficulties and rewrite our own fate."
"Mhm..." Meteria was touched, then gently kisses Sion's lips and whispered, "Although I really like your confession, you cannot keep mentioning gods."
Killing a god is a grave sin and is absolutely forbidden in gekkai..
Therefore, this statement must absolutely not be spread outside, as it would cause a lot of trouble if someone heard it.
"I know."
Sion calmly said, "But if a god stands in my way, I will not hesitate for a moment."
Meteria accepted his words and his realization wholeheartedly.
"Mhm."
Meteria smiled and said, "Let us do our best together."
The two continued their efforts, and their learning of magic went smoothly.
The only problem was that Sion did not have magic, so much of what he did could only be guessed at and could not be put into practice.
The so called magic, or transformed mental power known as Mind, is a supernatural force capable of triggering substantial phenomena.
The simplest way to complete this step is undoubtedly to become a member of a Familia.
But there was another method, which was to perform a magic awakening ceremony.
There were two conditions for practising congenital magic.
Through repeated training and rituals, and through the systematic chanting passed down from ancient times, magical races, starting with elves, were able to use magic without any Falna.
This statement indicated that being from a magical race was a prerequisite for using congenital magic, which reflected the difficulty of learning magic.
The second point was that a ritual was needed to bring about a qualitative change in one's Mind.
In reality, nothing appears out of thin air. For example, acquired magic itself was developed based on congenital magic.
Strength, Endurance, Agility, Dexterity, and Magic, these five basic abilities could only emerge based on existing things.
Therefore, with Meteria's help, Sion began his magic awakening.
Although this was something that could be easily done by becoming an adventurer, Sion still intended to try the effect of the ritual.
After discovering five different rituals, Sion studied and compared them, thus truly understanding the principles behind the rituals.
After making the improvements, Sion prepared to give it a try.
In reality, these rituals had undergone thousands of years of development and had no room for improvement.
The so called improvements were more about adapting them to Sion's current situation. After all, most magic rituals were used on magical races.
Sion was not from a magical race, but just an ordinary human, which was why this point needed to be taken even more seriously.
"Are we really going to do this?"
Meteria said with concern.
"Certainly."
Sion nuzzled her cheek and smiled, "The ritual itself is fine, and it's not dangerous. I think we can give it a try."
However, compared to becoming an adventurer, this method did indeed carry an additional layer of uncontrollable risk.
Let's not make her worry...
"Let's begin."
Sion cleared out the center of the church, then looked it over and took out some items.
[Not sure about the magic awakening, haven't seen in the lightnovels. Lemme know, if we need any corrections~]
