Princess Mira Quinveil Firebrand here. Yes, really. Yes, I know. Deep breaths.
Before we begin
, apparently I have been informed that some of you are arriving here first—which is bold behavior and a little concerning, but I respect the chaos. Since we are trying to be at least vaguely organized for once, here is the official reading order before you fling yourselves face-first into Book Three and then ask emotionally devastating questions later.
Book One: The Firefly’s Burden
Book Two: Cinderborn
Book Three: Daughters of Starveil
There. Easy. Beautiful. Almost suspiciously functional.
Now, if you have read the first two books already, welcome back. I would say it is good to see you again, but frankly, if you made it through all of that and still came back for more, I am starting to think some of you enjoy suffering recreationally.
If you have not, this is your gentle warning that while you are absolutely welcome here, this story did, in fact, begin before now. There are feelings. There is history. There are grudges, kisses, blood, politics, very bad coping mechanisms, and an escalating number of women becoming too powerful to control politely. Things have happened. Important, emotionally expensive things.
So if at any point you find yourself asking, “Wait, why is everyone like this?” the answer is: previous books. And trauma. Mostly previous books.
That said, now you know where to start, where to continue, and where you currently are. You are here. With me. Which historically has never led to a calm or well-managed experience, but it is usually memorable.
So whether you arrived in perfect order like a responsible person or stumbled in here powered entirely by curiosity and bad decisions, welcome to
.
Try not to die. Or do anything stupid without at least making it interesting.
