It was nighttime. Inside a dark cave, a cage could be seen hanging above a pit of lava. Nearby stood two guards, both beautiful women wearing armor and armed with spears and shields. They looked identical, both with black hair, tanned skin, and figures that would make other women jealous. The two of them were focused on their prisoner.
"You know, you're a great listener. I'm sure you want to hear my story..." said the prisoner. He was a blond with blue eyes, a young man who looked maybe seventeen or eighteen years old. He was slim and had a compact, muscular build. He wore only a pair of torn and worn-out orange pants. Around his forehead was a dark headband with a metal plate attached to it, but the strangest thing was the marks on his cheeks, which resembled those of a cat.
"Could you shut up...? If you keep this up, you'll end up like the one you're talking to," one of the guards growled, frowning at her prisoner, who ignored them.
"Don't listen to them, Wilson..." the blond said as he dragged himself across the cell and placed his arms over the skeleton's shoulders. Not caring about the guards, the blond continued talking to the skeleton. "I'm sure you're wondering how I, Uzumaki Naruto, war hero, disciple of the great Jiraiya, also known as Ero-sennin, jinchūriki of Kurama, and many other things, ended up like this, imprisoned by a couple of armed crazy women... Ow! Hey!" he growled when a rock struck him on the head, thrown by one of the twins, who then bumped fists with the other.
"Watch your tongue, man, or we'll cut it out," one of the women threatened as she raised her sword and pointed it at the Uzumaki, who only snorted. Naruto looked at the skeleton and nodded.
"Yes, Wilson, as I was saying, this will surprise you... I traveled to another dimension," he said seriously. At his revelation, the skeleton's jaw dropped. Smiling, the blond placed the jaw back onto his companion's skull. "See? I told you you'd be surprised... Now I'll tell you how I became friends with a giant nine-tailed fox."
"It's already been two days... and that guy hasn't stopped talking to that thing. I told you we should've cleaned the cages, but no!" the black-haired woman growled in annoyance as she rubbed her forehead tiredly. It was exhausting to listen to the man's pointless stories at all hours.
"I know, sister. Just ignore him," said the woman beside her, staring into space as she continued standing guard. But both were pulled from their thoughts when they heard a cup being banged against the bars. "Now what the hell is wrong with you?!" she shouted, only for a skeletal hand to smack her across the face.
"Wilson, that wasn't right," Naruto said as he controlled the skeleton like a puppet. The skeleton only shrugged and continued moving the cup between the bars, still being controlled by the blond. "Naruto-sama, you must escape from here. You must be free," were the words of the skeleton as its jaw moved. Taking a thoughtful pose, the blond only sighed. "Yeah, Wilson, I could, but my chakra is very low, and since Kurama is asleep, it'll be a few weeks before I can use my chakra again," he explained to his cellmate, who nodded.
"For the love of Hera! I've had enough!" one of the guards shouted as she pulled a chain beside her. The cage immediately opened, causing Naruto and the skeleton to fall toward the lava pit. However, the blond had a chain around his ankle that stopped him from falling to his death, but the skeleton wasn't so lucky.
"Wilson!" the blond shouted dramatically as he hung upside down. A tear fell from his right eye as he watched the skeleton melt in the lava pit. "Oh well, he's gone," he said carelessly as the guards caught him, each grabbing one of his arms before dragging him away.
After several minutes, he arrived at a huge palace. Once inside, they took him to a chamber filled with women who wore angry expressions when they saw the blond enter. On the throne sat a beautiful blond woman with dark eyes, wearing golden armor and a crown. Beside her was a small nine-year-old girl with dark hair and light blue eyes. The girl watched with concern as the blond was roughly thrown into the middle of the room.
"Ugh, this is awkward... Umm, do I at least get a lawyer?" the Uzumaki asked nervously as he got to his feet, only to be forced back onto his knees while four women pointed their spears at his neck. Sighing, he made a tired face. "I'm guessing that's a no."
"How did you get here?" the Queen asked as she stood and walked closer, looking the Uzumaki in the eyes as a golden rope wrapped around him. "If you refuse to speak, we'll kill you," she threatened seriously while drawing her sword and pointing it at the blond, who only looked at the girl behind her.
"She saw everything... they—" Before he could continue, one of the guards punched him.
"Don't you even dare look at her," she threatened, but she was interrupted by the Queen, who raised her hand. She looked at the girl, who immediately stiffened.
"Diana, can you tell us what happened...?" At her request, the girl became the center of everyone's attention. Nervously, she looked down at her feet. Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward.
"Well..."
FLASHBACK:
These Amazons were a race of immortal superwomen who lived on the magical Paradise Island. Created and favored by Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, the Amazons prospered in peace for centuries, but remained separated from Man's World.
In the days of ancient Greece, many centuries ago, the Amazons were the most important nation in the world. In Amazonia, women ruled, and everything was well. Then, one day, Hercules, the strongest man in the world, angered by the mockery that he could not conquer the Amazon women, gathered his strongest and fiercest warriors and landed on the shores of the Amazons.
The Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta, met Hercules in personal combat because she knew that with her magic belt, which had been given to her by Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, she could not lose.
Hippolyta defeated Hercules, but through deception, Hercules managed to take Hippolyta's magic belt, and soon the Amazons were forced into slavery. Aphrodite, angry with Hippolyta for falling for the tricks of men, would do nothing to help them.
Eventually, the Amazons could no longer endure being under the control of men, and Hippolyta once again appealed to the Goddess Aphrodite. This time, it was not in vain. Aphrodite gave in, and with her help, Hippolyta recovered and stole the magic belt from Hercules.
With the magic belt back in Hippolyta's possession, it did not take long for the Amazons to overpower their masters. Taking their entire fleet from them, they sailed toward another shore, because Aphrodite's condition was that they leave Man's World and establish a new world of their own. Aphrodite also decreed that they must always wear the heavy bracelets made by their captors as a reminder that they must always stay away from men.
And so, after sailing the seas for many days and many nights, the Amazons found Paradise Island and settled there to build a new world. With its fertile volcanic soil, wonderful plants and animals, and many natural resources, there was no need, disease, hatred, or war. The Amazons would remain forever young as long as they stayed on Paradise Island, where they would have access to the Fountain of Eternal Youth. Hippolyta would also keep the magic belt, and they would remain free as long as they did not allow themselves to be deceived by men and submit to them.
Just after the Amazons conquered and defeated Hercules and sailed toward their island, Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, gave them the Magic Sphere. Through this device, Hippolyta could see events in Man's World from both the present and the past, and sometimes even predict the future. With the visions of the future shown by the Magic Sphere, the Amazons were able to greatly surpass the inventions created by human civilization.
"Wow..." Diana said as she closed the book. Antiope had given it to her, telling her that she was ready to learn the true history of the Amazons. Smiling, Diana stood up. She was on a hill where the wind blew gently. Today, her mother had told her to go play because she still wasn't ready to train alongside her Amazon sisters.
Sighing, she put the book into her bag. As she stretched, she saw that dawn was beginning. However, when she noticed a strange light on the beach, she followed it. Moving along the cliff of a mountain near the beach, she saw some kind of circle beginning to form. Suddenly, something came out of it, causing the little girl to become frightened and trip.
Horrified, she realized that she had fallen from the cliff. It was a great fall that her small body would not survive. Closing her eyes, she waited for the impact, but it never came. Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw that someone had caught her. Curious, she saw someone who looked like a woman, yet was strangely very different. (Could this be a man like the ones the books talk about?) she thought fearfully. Her mother and sisters had always told her how dangerous men were.
"A-Are you o-okay?" The question pulled Diana out of her thoughts as she was slowly lowered to the ground. Unsure, she looked at the man in front of her, only to gasp in horror when she saw how badly injured he was. Blood was coming from his forehead and mouth, and he had many cuts and bruises all over his body.
"I'm fine... I'm Diana," she said quietly. "Are you okay? I can get you help," she added, now worried as she looked at the blond's condition. He only sighed tiredly before falling backward. Now sitting on the sand, he looked around.
"I'll be fine... Do you know them?" he asked when he saw women in the distance riding toward them on horseback. But the blond could not say much more before he fell unconscious on the sand, hearing the furious shouts of the women who caught him.
End of flashback.
