Everything was silent in the great hall. On one side stood the Amazons, led by Hippolyta, who had a dark expression on her face. Like their queen, all her sisters wore grim expressions. In front of them stood Hercules, with dozens of Spartan soldiers behind him. However, all these soldiers had a strange, ghostly appearance, with gray skin and red eyes.
However, standing between both sides was Naruto, who remained calm with his arms crossed. The shinobi remained expressionless as he watched the demigod walk toward them, but Hercules completely ignored the blond and continued walking until he stood face-to-face with the Queen of the Amazons.
"I've come for my brothers..." said the giant with an arrogant smile. Hippolyta's response was to point the blade of her sword at the black-haired man's neck, but he continued smiling arrogantly. All the Spartans quickly grabbed their weapons, ready to attack. Following their example, the Amazons also took defensive stances. Sighing, the demigod looked at the Amazon with boredom.
"Hera decreed that Ares would remain a prisoner on this island... FOR ALL ETERNITY!" she shouted the last words angrily. This bastard dared to come to this island and make such unacceptable demands. Growling, she resisted the urge to use her sword to cut the giant's throat, but her thoughts were interrupted when she heard Hercules's mocking laughter.
"My father Zeus sent me... and his word is law." Saying that, he snapped his fingers, and his men immediately moved. From a distance, Naruto watched in confusion as Hippolyta and the other Amazons lowered their heads in surrender. As the minutes passed, the Spartans brought in a smiling Ares, who walked forward until he stood in front of Hercules.
"It's been a while, brother..." the God of War greeted him with a mocking grin. He slowly raised his hands to show his marked shackles. However, before they could do anything, footsteps were heard. Calmly, the shinobi walked toward the two men, but someone stopped him along the way.
"Stay out of this, Naruto," Hippolyta warned as she stopped the shinobi. He looked sternly at the Queen, who shook her head. The blond could feel his Queen's emotions: helplessness, annoyance, and frustration. Sighing, the Uzumaki simply looked at the Greeks.
"Why are you letting them do this?" the shinobi asked seriously, this time looking at the Queen of the Amazons, who took on an even more serious expression.
"We serve Olympus. We must follow the orders of our king, Zeus," she said bitterly. Diana also heard those words. The teenager watched in frustration as Hercules grabbed his brother's wristbands.
"By the power of my father, Zeus," Hercules began, squeezing the steel wristbands, which started to crack. "I free you from your curse." Everyone present watched as the shackles placed on Ares by Hera were destroyed. A powerful gust of wind swept through the castle, shattering all the glass windows. Once the gust of wind died down, everyone looked at the God of War.
"Finally... I'VE RETURNED!" Ares shouted as a dark aura surrounded him. The god, who had once been in a terrible state, changed. His body had now improved, and armor began to form around him. The armor was dark with gray details and closely resembled medieval armor. Clapping his hands together, Ares summoned his weapon. It was a large Spartan spear with red details. Once he was ready, the God of War looked at the Amazons, especially Hippolyta. "We'll meet again, my dear Hippolyta," were the Greek god's final mocking words before he disappeared in a golden glow that lifted him into the sky, taking him to his father's home, Olympus.
"You have what you wanted... Now get off my island," Hippolyta demanded, still frowning at the spot where Ares had stood. Something was coming. Olympus had something planned, but what mattered most to her was that it didn't affect their lives. However, before she could sink any deeper into her thoughts, she heard Hercules's dry laugh.
"I think I was clear... I said I came for my brothers," he emphasized the last word. Those words made the hearts of the Queen and her general jump into their throats. Slowly, the black-haired giant walked forward until he stood in front of Diana. She grabbed the handle of her sword and prepared her shield. "Father wants you, 'little sister,'" he said in a mocking and somewhat evil tone, glancing slightly at Hippolyta. Seeing the pain and sadness on her face, the demigod only smiled wider.
Sweet revenge. The demigod savored this moment and committed the different reactions of the Amazons to memory. Obviously, this revelation left the princess in disbelief. "Mother, is that true?" she asked softly, looking at her mother with hope, but Hippolyta refused to look at her. Fury began to consume Diana. "Mother, answer me!" she shouted this time, but her only answer was her mother's pained expression.
"I'm sorry, Diana... It's true. I begged Zeus for a child, and I... I made a sculpture out of clay. I made you the way I imagined you would look. He gave you life, along with several blessings from different gods," she finished while looking at the floor. This was not how she had hoped to tell her daughter the truth. How could she tell her that she was the sister of her worst enemies? As for Naruto, he kept his distance. It wasn't time to act yet. He had to be careful.
"..." In disbelief, the young Amazon looked at Hercules, who only gave her a twisted smile as he watched everything with amusement. "I... I..." Not knowing what to say or think, she dropped her sword.
"You are the ultimate weapon, or at least that's what my father thought." Slowly, the demigod began walking around Diana. Taking on a more serious expression, he continued speaking. "Apollo gave you the ability to fly, Aphrodite gave you incredible beauty, Hermes gave you incredible speed, Demeter blessed you with good health, Hestia blessed you with rapid healing, Athena gave you wisdom, and finally, Father... He gave you life and even strength comparable to my own," he finished as he stopped and stood before the princess, who still had her head lowered. "You will come to Olympus to serve. That is what you were born for." Those last words made all the Amazons tremble with anger.
(Am I just a weapon?) Diana asked herself as she felt tears gathering in her eyes. Everything had been a lie. She wanted to go out into the outside world and help people, to make a difference. To serve the gods as if she were nothing more than a simple tool. That was her destiny.
"You're wrong..." Everyone looked at Antiope, who took a step forward. With a serious expression, the Amazon drew her sword and stood beside a surprised Diana. "All of you, you and the gods of Olympus, are wrong," she said harshly as she looked at Hercules with hatred, but he only laughed mockingly.
"Antiope!" Hippolyta shouted in warning. They served Olympus. They couldn't start a war against them. It would be suicide. But her only answer was her sister's stern look as Antiope pointed her sword at the demigod without hesitation.
