It was twelve noon in Smallville.

Meanwhile, Conner was at home, not really knowing what to do to kill time.

He rocked slowly in the rocking chair on the porch, staring intently toward the horizon of the cornfields.Full novel: DC: Reincarnated with the Superboy Template — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“When will the girls be back?” Conner muttered distractedly aloud.

Since they would be leaving Smallville soon, the girls wanted to make sure there were no “potential enemies” in the vicinity before departing.

Because of this, they had decided to conduct an aerial inspection of the area.

‘But knowing them, I bet they’ll go even further,’ Conner thought to himself with a slight smile.

‘Not just for the safety of the boys, but also to enjoy the scenery.’

Deep down, Conner didn’t blame them at all.

He himself thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of flying far away, exploring, and losing himself among the clouds.

Having been an ordinary person in his past life, the ability to fly freely through the air was one of the things he appreciated and enjoyed the most in this new existence.

While Conner drifted in his thoughts, several kilometers away at the Reeves Dam, the picture was very different.

Karen and Laurel were flying near the massive concrete structure, cutting through the air currents with total natural ease.

“Hey, don’t you think we went too far?” Laurel asked as she descended gently and landed on the ground, fixing her hair.

“It was supposed to be just a basic inspection.”

“Relax.

Besides, it’s good to stretch our muscles a bit,” replied Karen, who landed right next to her and sat on the ground in a completely carefree manner.

“Conner always wants to stop us from flying and all that.

Sometimes I don’t understand what he’s afraid of.

We’re supposed to be the strongest in the world…

He should relax more and not always be with that ‘Keep a low profile’ thing.”

Laurel shrugged, looking for a middle ground.

Although she leaned more toward Karen’s free perspective, she respected her man’s prudence.

“Well, he mentioned things like Gods…

or something like magic.

Or green kryptonite?”

“And don’t forget the supposed pink kryptonite.

I don’t know why, but Conner is terrified of it,” Karen said, narrowing her eyes as she muttered thoughtfully.

“I don’t know what causes him so much fear.

He only mentioned to us in detail the green kryptonite that weakens us, but he never mentioned the effects of the pink one…”

“Who knows,” Laurel replied casually.

“Come on!

We’ve never seen them,” Karen complained, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

“It’s a bit exaggerated to speculate about their existence just because of the photo or the stories of a woman in armor.

And much less magic…

That’s a myth.”

Laurel remained silent, offering no further opinion.

She trusted Conner blindly, but she knew that sometimes his strategist side made him exaggerate the dangers of the world.

Even so, it didn’t hurt to be cautious.

After having relaxed so much during these last few years on the farm, the idea of letting loose more excited her, so she deeply appreciated Conner’s plans to finally act, move, and go develop themselves on that magical island in the Pacific.

“Laurel, wait!…” Karen suddenly exclaimed, snapping her friend out of her thoughts all at once.

“What happened?” Laurel asked, confused by the sudden change in tone.

“Look down there.” Karen pointed, gesturing toward the dam’s reservoir.

Laurel frowned and immediately activated her X-ray vision.

Completely surprised, she muttered, “A ship shaped like a pentagon…”

“It’s Kryptonian technology…

It’s a ship from our planet,” Karen stated seriously, losing all of her relaxed attitude from a moment ago.

Without thinking twice, both flew straight down, diving under the water after observing the ship closely from the surface.

Karen gripped the metallic structure tightly and, using her colossal strength, pulled the heavy ship to the surface and dragged it to the shore, while Laurel followed closely behind guarding the perimeter.

Once on dry land, Laurel took a step forward.

Combining her superhuman strength with Karen’s, they forced open the ship’s hatches.

The metal groaned under the pressure and the hatches burst open; this action broke the container’s vacuum, immediately pulling the mysterious woman out of her suspended animation state.

The glass opened with a dense escape of cold vapor, and the young blonde fell forward, being caught firmly by Karen.

The young blonde lying inside fell forward, being caught firmly by Karen’s arms.

The girl opened her eyes extremely slowly, revealing two deep blue pupils that looked around with absolute emptiness and heartbreaking confusion.

She tried to articulate a word, but her body shook uncontrollably from the cold and the shock.

“Tranquila, you are safe,” Karen told her in a soft voice, trying to convey reassurance.

“What is your name?

Do you remember anything?”

The young blonde looked at her hands, then fixed her gaze on the faces of Karen and Laurel, and finally shook her head, showing an expression of absolute helplessness.

“No… Find the original chapter at g.com.

I don’t know.

I don’t remember anything.

I don’t know who I am…

or…

where I am.”

Meanwhile, in a secluded wooded area a few kilometers from Smallville…

Conner, who had already grown bored of waiting in the rocking chair, had decided to go out for a walk and check out the area just in case.

However, he quickly grew bored of the town routine and decided to end the walk to return home.

He didn’t want to fly back; he assumed the girls wouldn’t be back from their inspection yet, so he opted to walk peacefully among the paths of the trees.

As he walked back, Conner suddenly felt the environment cloud over in an unnatural way.

The atmosphere in the forest became strangely heavy, as if the air itself had become charged with static electricity and a dense mysticism.

Suddenly, thick black smoke and purple shadows began to manifest among the trees, concentrating and twisting at a specific point on the path.

Conner stopped dead in his tracks.

He assumed an instinctive combat stance while his eyes narrowed with deep suspicion.

From among the shadows emerged a hooded figure.

It was a girl who looked to be around 18 years old, dressed in a dark blue cloak that hid most of her face.

Her skin had a very characteristic pale grayish tone, she possessed intense violet eyes and hair of the same tone, straight and cut at a sharp angle.

Her entire being emanated an aura of profound sadness, loneliness, and a dark power so real that it made the dry leaves around her float in the air without touching the ground.

Conner at first was extremely confused, but suddenly, a flash of memories from his past life illuminated his mind like lightning, instantly recognizing the girl’s identity.

Conner swallowed hard silently as he exclaimed shocked in his mind: ‘Raven!’.

Raven looked up from under her hood.

Her eyes, for a brief second, glowed with an intense and menacing amethyst color before returning to their normal tone.

Conner, at that moment, had a whirlwind of doubts spinning in his head.

‘What is she doing here?

Isn’t she supposed to appear later?

Damn, the Justice League hasn’t even formed yet, let alone the Teen Titans.’ Although his mind was flooded with unanswered questions, he forced his body to relax, took a step forward, and cracked a kind, warm smile so as not to scare her.

“Who are you?” Conner asked, maintaining the facade and pretending to know absolutely nothing about her.

“What are you doing here?

Are you lost?”
