15 – Creating Accidents
After Zhao Rui returned with a dark expression, Shi Yuan took the key and opened the door to the seaside room.
As soon as the door opened, a faint fragrance wafted over, lifting Shi Yuan’s mood considerably.
When she had first opened the door, she had only taken a quick glance.
Now, upon closer inspection, she realized that both the decor and furniture in the room were top-tier.
No wonder it was the best room in the first season of Love’s Heart—clearly, no expense had been spared.
“Everyone must be hungry by now, right? But don’t worry, Love’s Heart has prepared a lavish feast for everyone, just waiting for you to enjoy!”
Jiang Yu heard these words as soon as he stepped inside.
However, he didn’t take the program team’s words seriously. After all, everyone knew that this so-called feast was bound to come with a catch.
Sure enough, before long, someone knocked on the door.
Shi Yuan, being closest to the door, went to open it first.
“Surprise!” A male staff member outside shouted, pushing a food cart.
Shi Yuan: “…”
She didn’t feel surprised, but she certainly felt startled.
Jiang Yu also heard the noise and walked to the door, glancing down at the food cart. “Is this prepared by the program team for us?”
“Exactly!”
The staff member pulled the cart back slightly. “However, if the two guests wish to enjoy this lavish feast, you’ll have to pass a small test.”
Shi Yuan wasn’t surprised, as she had expected the program team to stir up trouble.
Just as she was about to discuss it with Jiang Yu, a familiar voice echoed in her mind.
[Sudden Mission: New task alert, host. The System will create three unexpected incidents at different times. Please be prepared! Successfully navigating these incidents will reward you with a large amount of Points and a chance to obtain Rare items.]
Shi Yuan froze for a moment.
Unexpected incidents? What kind of incidents?
Before she could ask Xiao K, the staff member pointed to the food cart in front of them.
“The cart has three layers, but only one contains the lavish feast. Now, it’s time to test the tacit understanding between the two guests.”
Jiang Yu casually glanced at it, then bent down.
His nostrils twitched slightly as he raised his hand and pointed to the second layer.
“This one.”
Seeing how decisively he chose, Shi Yuan also bent down. “Are you sure?”
Jiang Yu turned his head slightly and raised an eyebrow. “You can fully trust my intuition when it comes to food.”
Shi Yuan glanced at Jiang Yu’s tall, straight nose.
Who would have thought the big villain had such a sharp sense of smell like a dog’s?
“Alright, I’ll trust you. Let’s go with the second layer.”
Just as she was about to straighten up, an unexpected incident occurred.
Somehow, the food cart suddenly slid forward, tilting and crashing toward her.
Shi Yuan: “??Wasn’t this unexpected set up way too clumsily?!
Just as Shi Yuan prepared to dodge with all her might, the wrist closer to Jiang Yu was suddenly gripped tightly.
“Crash!” “Thud!”
In the blink of an eye, Shi Yuan found herself falling into a warm, pleasant-smelling embrace.
Shi Yuan was momentarily stunned, lying there dazed for a moment.
It wasn’t until she heard a sharp inhale above her head that she looked up.
“Tch!”
Jiang Yu moved his arm, which had been hit, but never let go of his left hand, which was still protecting Shi Yuan.
“Are you okay?”
Shi Yuan shook her head. “I’m fine, but it looks like you’re hurt. Should we go to the hospital?”
The staff had already descended into chaos, forcing a temporary halt to the filming of Jiang Yu and Shi Yuan’s segment. Fortunately, the director quickly regained control of the situation.Soon, the program crew sent a medical team to examine Jiang Yu.
After learning that Jiang Yu’s arm had only suffered a minor impact injury, the entire program crew breathed a sigh of relief.
