Upon returning home, Nan Mo discovered the chef had already prepared the day’s meals – six dishes and one soup, all packed in extra-large insulated containers.
Opening one container labeled “Honey Glazed Pork,” she found it filled to the brim and still steaming hot, clearly containing far more than the 30 portions she had requested.
She instructed the servants to load the six dishes and soup into the commercial vehicle she had recently acquired for convenient stockpiling. The rear seats had been removed to maximize storage space.
Under cover of darkness, she transferred the containers from the vehicle into her Dimension Space, then drove to the night market nearest her home.
By the time she reached the night market, darkness had fully descended. A long street stretched beyond sight, lined with various snack shops and milk tea dessert stores on both sides.
Parking the vehicle in a roadside lot, she randomly selected a shop and ordered a bowl of Shrimp and Pork Wonton.
After running around all day, she finished the large bowl of wontons in just a few mouthfuls.
“Boss, do you sell uncooked wontons? What other flavors do you have?” Nan Mo thought about how convenient it would be to cook wontons when she didn’t have time to prepare meals.
“Yes, we have five varieties: Beef and Scallion, Chinese Cabbage and Pork, Pure Pork, Pickled Cabbage and Pork, and Shrimp and Pork Wonton.”
“Give me 500 of each flavor.”
After paying, she asked the shop owner to take their time preparing the order while she went to explore the area.
She visited seven milk tea shops, ordering 50 cups each of their signature hot and cold beverages from every store.
At six bakeries, she purchased all their fresh cakes and breads baked that day. She provided the shop assistants with her vehicle’s location and asked them to help deliver the items to her car.
Once the vehicle was fully loaded, she would drive around the block before returning to collect more goods.
After repeating this cycle four or five times, she finished collecting all her purchases, picked up her wontons, and left the night market.
Checking the time and noting the supermarket was still open, she drove to the city’s famous large-scale supermarket.
She chose this location not only because of its size and abundant stock, but primarily because this supermarket chain belonged to Chen Qi’s family.
With only one hour remaining before closing time, she called Chen Qi and asked him to come immediately.
When Chen Qi arrived, Nan Mo already had a shopping cart filled to capacity with snacks.
“Did you call me here to carry your bags?” he asked.
Nan Mo rolled her eyes at him. “Don’t be ridiculous. I’m here to clear out your family’s inventory.”
“Do you have any idea how much inventory that would be?” Chen Qi retorted with his own eye roll, thinking Nan Mo was joking.
“I remember your family owns more than one of these supermarkets, right? Don’t you have branches in neighboring cities too?”
Without waiting for his response, she continued, “Have someone arrange this – I’ll take what’s in my cart, and after closing time, have your people inventory all the stock from several stores and sell everything to me.
Calculate the overtime pay for the workers separately – I’ll reimburse you.”
“Are you serious? What are you trying to do? Nan Mo, has something happened? Don’t scare me like this.”
While he could understand her selling shares and traveling abroad to relax, Nan Mo’s current behavior was truly baffling. Chen Qi was genuinely concerned about her mental state.
“Don’t ask too many questions. I don’t want to make up excuses to lie to you. Just trust that I know what I’m doing.
I promised you all that I would live well, and I will definitely keep that promise.”
Nan Mo looked at Chen Qi with solemn seriousness. Seeing her so earnest, Chen Qi ultimately said nothing more.
He pulled out his phone and called the manager, instructing him to notify all supermarket managers in neighboring cities to organize their inventory management staff to remain on standby after closing hours.
“Alright then, how do you want to proceed?”
“Supply me with the exact quantity of goods needed to stock five supermarkets of this scale. Include the shelving units as well.
For items requiring refrigeration, deliver them together with the freezer cabinets. I have two vacant warehouses in the logistics park with ample space to store everything.
After delivery to my warehouses, help me hire several warehouse managers to oversee operations. All goods must be systematically organized according to your supermarket’s display arrangements.
Every item must be neatly and clearly arranged. I’ll transfer 300 million to you first—we’ll settle any balance later.”
After listening to Nan Mo, Chen Qi took a deep breath and held it, once again suppressing his urge to ask probing questions.
Seeing his reaction, Nan Mo showed no trace of embarrassment and continued, “One week—is that feasible?”
Chen Qi was fuming.
She provided no explanations yet demanded work, but he dared not act petty or delay her plans. “Transfer the money!” he snapped before she could say more, then turned and strode away.
Nan Mo had no alternative—with no certainty of when she might transmigrate, this was the fastest and most foolproof method.
Arriving at the warehouse, Nan Mo saw the first batch from the farm had already arrived.
Xiao Huang, who’d been notified of overtime on his first day, was assisting with unloading.
All poultry and fish were vacuum-sealed, while pork, beef, and mutton were sorted into separate packages.
The unloading took over five hours, during which continuous deliveries arrived from the farm.
Ready-made shelving units arrived in the afternoon, already stacked with grain, oil, and vegetables purchased under Uncle Qin’s arrangements. Excess items were neatly piled alongside.
By the time all workers left, it was past 2 a.m.
After ensuring even Xiao Huang had departed, Nan Mo used a remote to lower the electric shutters on both north and south sides. Cutting the power, she stored all goods into her Dimension Space.
Returning home and finishing her ablutions near 4 a.m., Nan Mo slipped into the Dimension Space. A cup of Spirit Spring Water revived her, washing away the day’s exhaustion.
