As though the air itself had stopped moving.

Idris remained frozen, staring at the open page of the black book while his hands trembled faintly.

As for Kentro…

He could feel it.

Something was wrong.

The looks in the guards’ eyes.

Elara’s tension.

The way everyone had unconsciously distanced themselves from him.

As if they were no longer looking at a human being.

But at something else.

Something dangerous.

Kentro slowly raised his head.

And the moment he took a single step forward—

The two shadow guards instantly stepped back into combat stances.

Even Elara silently placed her hand on her dagger.

Kentro narrowed his crimson eyes.

“What’s going on…?”

No one answered.

A cold sensation moved deep inside his chest.

Anger.

Pressure.

And a strange feeling that everyone around him was preparing to attack him at any moment.

His hand slowly moved toward the black sword at his waist.

And the instant he entered a fighting stance—

His crimson eyes glowed faintly.

Then—

Time stopped.

The air froze.

Elara and the shadow guards became motionless.

Even the falling dust from the ceiling remained suspended in the air.

Idris’ eyes widened immediately.

He could feel the overwhelming force filling the library.

A terrifying power…

Something beyond magic.

Something beyond reason.

Yet somehow—

He was still barely capable of moving.

Slowly, he looked toward Kentro and immediately realized one thing:

If a battle began here…

No one would leave this library alive.

Not even him.

The tension slowly disappeared from Idris’ face.

Then he spoke quietly.

“Calm yourselves.”

No one moved.

But a moment later—

Time suddenly resumed.

Dust fell to the floor.

The air moved once more.

Kentro stepped back slightly, confusion visible in his expression.

Idris took a deep breath before carefully closing the black book.

“Sit down.”

Silence lingered briefly.

But this time…

Everyone obeyed.

They sat in a wide circle while Idris personally carried the black book and placed it directly before Kentro.

He stared at him for a long moment before finally speaking.

“Do you want to know who you truly are…?”

Before Kentro could answer—

The shadow guards and Elara shouted simultaneously:

“NO!”

The entire library trembled from their voices.

“Don’t tell him!”

“That’s madness!”

But Idris slowly raised his gaze toward them.

And instantly—

Silence returned.

Even the guards lowered their heads immediately.

“Enough,” Idris said coldly.

Then he turned back toward Kentro.

“My family has protected this book for thousands of years.”

His hand slowly brushed across the black cover.

“Since an age older than the kingdoms themselves… the Maze Village has existed.”

“And alongside it… this book.”

The torchlight reflected across the heavy chains wrapped around it.

Idris continued quietly:

“This is not merely a book.”

“It is a vault of secrets.”

“Everything the bloodlines tried to hide… every forgotten disaster… every distortion that has ever scarred this world…”

“…was recorded here.”

Shock slowly appeared on Kentro’s face.

Yet suspicion still remained in his eyes.

Everything sounded more insane than the last.

Idris noticed.

So he continued calmly.

“There is an ancient legend.”

“One that no one dares speak aloud.”

“A legend that says whenever the balance of the world collapses…”

“…someone appears.”

Kentro immediately looked up.

“What do you mean by balance?”

Idris answered:

“When the bloodlines cross forbidden boundaries.”

“When wars are born that should never exist.”

“When the balance of magic begins to rot.”

“When the world sinks into chaos…”

His voice lowered.

“That person appears.”

A chill crawled down Kentro’s spine.

“And what does he do?”

Idris stared directly into his eyes.

“He ends the conflict.”

“He destroys the old world… so a new one may begin.”

Silence swallowed the library once more.

Even the flames seemed weaker now.

Then Kentro asked quietly:

“…Who is he?”

Idris slowly reopened the black book.

Stopping at an ancient page filled with faded black symbols.

Then he spoke.

“In this book…”

“…he is called—”

He raised his eyes toward Kentro.

“The Destroyer of Worlds.”

Kentro froze.

As though the title itself carried unbearable weight.

Then he slowly asked:

“…What does he look like?”

Idris replied calmly:

“No one knows.”

“Every era described him differently.”

“But one thing remained unchanged in every story.”

He slowly closed the book again.

“A member of the Fairy Bloodline always appears alongside him.”

Kentro frowned.

“Fairies?”

Idris nodded.

“It is said that this individual is born at the exact same time as the Destroyer of Worlds.”

“And becomes the link between him… and the truth.”

Silence returned once again.

As for Kentro…

It felt as though the ground beneath his existence was slowly collapsing.

Then finally, he asked: This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.

“…Is he dangerous?”

And for the first time since the conversation began—

Idris felt slightly relieved.

Because Kentro had not lost control.

He had not attacked.

That thing inside him had not awakened completely.

So Idris decided to push things one step further.

“We have missions that must be completed.”

“Missions that may help us uncover the remaining secrets hidden within the book.”

Kentro stared at him silently.

Then after a long moment of thought—

“…I’ll do it.”

“If it brings me closer to the truth.”

Several days later—

Kentro officially returned to the headquarters of the Eye of Shadows.

There, Idris and his vice commander began explaining the organization’s missions, methods, and true purpose.

But before the briefing ended—

Kentro finally spoke.

And his voice was terrifyingly cold.

“I will never kill anyone…”

Silence instantly filled the room.

“…unless I know they deserve it.”

His crimson eyes slowly swept across everyone present.

“And if any innocent person suffers because of your orders…”

His eyes glowed faintly.

“…then consider yourselves erased from this world.”

A terrifying chill spread through the hall.

Even the shadow guards could no longer look directly at him.

Idris simply nodded calmly.

“Understood.”

Two days later—

Kentro received his first official mission.

Bluefall Village.

A village located in the southern region of the country.

His objective:

Find an information broker who possessed a missing page from the black book.

And so—

Kentro began his journey.

He traveled across mountain roads and isolated villages until he approached the southern lands.

But along the way—

He encountered several villagers fleeing in terror.

He stopped them immediately.

“What happened?”

Fear filled their faces.

One of them shouted desperately:

“The chief!”

“The village chief is a demon!”

Then they continued running without looking back.

Kentro stood silently for a moment.

The words echoed inside his head.

A demon…?

Who exactly was this village chief?

And why were people this terrified of him?

He slowly lifted his gaze toward the distant horizon.

There—

Bluefall Village appeared.

But something was wrong.

Smoke rose from several homes.

And screams echoed even from afar.

Kentro’s eyes narrowed instantly.

Then he burst forward at full speed toward the village.

And as he dashed through the ruined streets—

He suddenly stopped.

Because what stood before him…

…was not human.
