Elya and Silvya were both still stuck in place for two reasons.

One, not wanting to disobey their father.

Two, how large the crowd was.Full novel: Divine’s Infinity: Hell without severance — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Since this was the prime hour for such an event, there’s no way that they wouldn’t lose each other in the sea of people.

The rumbling beneath their feet kept getting louder.

Elya: [Do you feel that Silvya?]

Silvya: [Yes!

I think an earthquake is coming!]

Elya: [Earthquakes don’t feel like that silly!]

Silvya: [How would you know!

We’ve both never felt one before!]

Another rumble shakes the ground beneath them.

This time, catching the eyes of the adults near them.

Silvya worried about when their dad was going to come back.

Elya: [Keep calm Silvya!]

She grabs Elya’s left hand, giving her all the comfort she could give.

Elya: [Father will come back in no time!]

Silvya: [You sound like big brother right now…]

*BOOM!

The ground shaked for a third time, sending stands and people off the ground.

Cracks in the paved flooring also formed.

Elya and Silvya both held on to each other for dear life, now not being able to ignore it anymore.

Everyone around the twins scattered, weaving left and right from each other, trying desperately to get as far away as possible.

Elya and Silvya stayed put for their father, with Silvya crying from distress.

Elya tried to be there for her, trying to be the other sister she technically was, but it was way too much for even her to handle.

*CRASH!!

*SMASH!!

The twins could hear screams and wails from all over the village.

The thing had already got in.

Silvya, through tears, could just barely make out the horrifying creature roaming their streets.

The strobe lights for eyes, shining down on homes as if they were in a concert.

People were in the air, mangled beyond recognition.

The two watched in horror as the impact scattered different bodily organs all over the place.

Blood was raining on the festival and getting all over their clothes.

Same with a whole new array of organs they’ve never even heard of.

Silvya: [What are we going to do!

Elya!!]

Elya: [We wait for Dad!

He’ll come back!

I promise!]

She said whilst choking on her own tears and mucus.

Not believing a word that came out of her own mouth.

???: [HEY!

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE!!]

They both look up and see Elliot.

She was battered, as she now had a cut on her left cheek. This chapter is updated first at g.com.

Her hand was extended outward.

Elliot: [C’mon!

We’ve got to get out of here!

Take my hand!]

Silvya: [NO!

We have to wait for Dad!

We said to stay here and wait for him—]

Elliot yanks the two of them up with both hands.

Not bothering to listen to the cries of Silvya, whilst Elya tries her best to comfort her through it.

The streets were broken and barren.

Distant buildings were torn apart.

As the three of them were running for their lives.

The yells of the terrified were loud and piercing.

As the entity had its way with the village folk.

Elliot: [C’mon!

Pick up the pace!!]

They take a hard left and keep their pace steady.

Elya and Silvya were looking around the area, at all the damage the entity had already caused by walking.

Then, something catches Silvya’s eye.

Silvya: [DADDDD!!!!!!]

She screams.

Elliot and Elya looked over at whatever scared Silvya so much, and it all made sense.

The dad was lying on the ground, and his lower half was missing.

His intestines trailed behind them, all the way to his lower half, about a couple of metres away.

Silvya, before they could restrain her, yanked her hand back and started running over to where her own dad was dying.

Elya: [Silvya!!!

Stop!!!

Come back!!!]

Silvya doesn’t listen.

Elya tries to free herself too, but Elliot stops her and continues running.

Elliot: [We have to get out of here!]

Tears flowed down Elya’s as the last time she saw her sister was her running to go to see dad.

Silvya makes it to her dad in record time, flipping onto her hands and legs before crawling to Mr.

Starless’s side.

Silvya: [DAD!

DAD WAKE UP!!]

Her voice gives Mr.

Starless’s body enough adrenaline to open his eyes one last time.

He sees his youngest child’s distressed face, wondering why she didn’t go with her sister.

Mr.

Starless: [God… damn it Silvya… why didn’t… you go… with your sister…]

Silvya: [DAD!

PLEASE DON’T GO!

PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME!!]

Her tears hit his face, feeling like torture on his skin.

With all the strength he had, he pulled Silvya into a warm embrace, giving her all the love he could give at the moment.

Dad: [Silvya… I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you guys well enough… I should’ve saved Dylan from himself…]

Please don’t say that!

You were the best dad in the whole EARTH!]

Dad: [Thank you… sweetie… I love you so much…!]

Those were his last words, with him taking his last breath a second afterward.

Silvya felt him stop breathing and started bawling her eyes out even harder.

Whilst desperately squeezing his dead body like a plush toy, hoping that’s how CPR worked.

She sits there, not wanting to move.

Not feeling the hot breath on her face, not fearing whatever’s in front of her.

Silvya: Sorry… Elya… Dylan and Dad are dead… I can’t live with you…

That thought slowly crossed her mind, repeatedly.

The creature observes its prey intently, seeing how much a family cares about one another.

It felt moved.

A tear rolled down its face.

Memories flooded in about something very similar; those memories she’d like to forget.

And it did.

Like a switch.

It reverted to normal.

Nobody alive knew what was going through this thing’s head.

Especially when its mouth is about to bite you.

*CHOMP!

There she goes, Silvya’s body from the neck down, still staying in place.

Her head rolled down the thing’s throat, still holding her dad, but now…

They can be together with Dylan…

Once more.

Many would view this night as a massacre.

98% of the village was wiped out in 10 minutes.

Truly a harrowing point in history.

Not even the elders made it out alive, being the creature’s primary target.

From a distance, it looked as if they were setting off human fireworks.

At least, that’s what it looked like the Rhys.

That’s right!

There he was!

Standing right outside the entrance to the forest.

His head slowly creaked down to his gloves.

They were perfectly intact.

Including every other piece of clothing on his person.

His hands suddenly slapped his face; his entire body feels brand new, just as when he first showed up.

It’s like he hadn’t aged at all.

Rubbing his face faster and faster, the event of what had just happened seemed set on him.

First a giggle, then a light laugh, then a full cackle.

He had lost it, remembering the excruciating pain he endured, the pain of dying, the pain of watching everything go down the drain.

All he wanted to do was die.

And yet, he couldn’t.

Pretty neat, right?
