Ms.
Hollow: [It should be…]
Some tall, slender yet muscular woman with short ginger hair and a missing left eye was leading her 5 guards into unknown territory.
The guards wore full body armour and held swords in their hands.
Ms.
Hollow didn’t have any weapons on her, though.
Ms.
Hollow: [We shall go in at once!
You there!]
She pointed toward a shaking guard trying to hide from her sight.
Ms.
Hollow: [You seem fit for leading the way!
Up front, now!]
???: W-what?!
Why?!
God fucking dammit you bitch!!!
He whined and stomped his feet on the ground before reluctantly getting in front of everyone and leading their path.
This forest seemed to be deeper than they expected, with wildlife and critters roaming around.
Usually, they would have some sort of sign about a dangerous entity, but there was nothing.
???: [What are we looking for again, Miss?]
Ms.
Hollow: [Some people seemed to have spotted something within these woods.
They said it looked to be an angel.]
???: [An Angel??]
???: [There’s one all the way out here??]
The mood around the area shifted somewhat dramatically.
As what they were, dealing seemed to set in.
???: [Y-you guys said we’re looking.
For an angel?!]
The guy up front visibly shivered at the thought of what the thing could do to them.
He only remembered stories about angels, never actually seeing one in real life.
And now, he was going to come face to face with one nobody had a clue about.
???: [Hey… by the way, Miss… you seemed eager to accept us coming here.
You sure this will be okay?]
Ms.
Hollow: [It seemed interesting.]
The other four guards in the back looked a mixture of surprise and confusion.
???: [So what does this angel look like?]
Ms.
Hollow: [“It was horrifying” was the only thing the reporters said appearently.]
The group could hear a loud gulp coming from their leading guard.
He must’ve overheard their conversation whilst sweating buckets.
???: [Do you know if we’re close or not, Miss?]
Ms.
Hollow: [I don’t know!
they never said what part of the forest it was spotted in.]
The wind blew through the canopy and the leaves below.
Giving the group a pleasant environment to work with.
???: [H-hey guys!
Miss!
I think I see some rustling a couple of ways away from here.]
The lead guard pointed his finger at a rustling bush a few metres from their position.
Hollow’s face as she got herself ready for their confrontation.
Ms.
Hollow: [Alright, C’mon!
Don’t just stand there shaking, approach the thing!]
The lead guard’s shaky hands and feet slowly stomped their way closer.
Each step sent shivers down his spine.
???: Good God.
Why did she make me do this shit!
He made it over to the shaking bush, and whilst trembling, he reached out and grabbed a couple of leaves from the bush.
The shaking stopped for a second, giving the lead guard enough time to think that maybe it wouldn’t be too bad.
He was wrong.
???: [WOOF!!!]
A giant wolf jumps out of the bushes in an instant.
The lead guard has only hundreds of milliseconds to react before the wolf viciously attacks him.
The wolf crawls at his armour plates, trying desperately to take them off to neutralize him.
???: [Agh!
Goddammit!
Get off of me!]
The guard was also struggling, but with something completely different.
With the wolf directly on top of him, he couldn’t focus hard enough to cast anything.
Then, the wolf was suddenly floating mid-air, and just before she could react.
She was flung right into a tree to her right nearby.
???: [Hey!
You okay man!]
???: [Y-yeah I’m fine… that fucking nuisance just attacked me fore no reason!
Like, what did I do wrong!]
The wolf laid down on the ground right next to the tree she smashed into.
???: [Let’s just get moving…]
The two guards then got off the ground, ready to continue their mission.
That was until their prize showed up and was not happy.
*BAM!
Its fist drilled into the lead guard’s face.
Sending him to the ground with a thud.
The other two didn’t have time to react before they got knocked out as well.
The final two guards showed up with Ms.
Hollow following behind.
With their swords ready, they ran at it with all their strength, ready to avenge their fallen brothers.
It didn’t react at all, barely seeing any of them as a threat.
It grabbed the two of them by their helmet, and slammed them into the ground as well.
Ms.
Hollow watched all of that go down in shock.
Not realising who the reporters saw.
Ms.
Hollow: [W-wait hold on!]
It stopped, with one of the guards’ swords that he stole inches from her neck.
???: [Who are you guys… why are you hurting Wolf?!]
Ms.
Hollow: [M-my guards didn’t mean any harm…!
She attacked us first, so he defended himself.
We weren’t going to kill your friend or anything!]
It slowly lowered its weapon from her face.
Looking a little confused.
???: [R-really?]
Ms.
You don’t have to kill us!
So please lower that sword fully!]
He did as told.
Letting the sword fall onto the ground.
???: [Alright, I’m sorry!
I should’ve known this would happen…]
The sudden tone shift frightened Ms.
Hollow more than she had thought.
It gestured with hands for Ms.
Hollow to follow it.
She seemed pretty shaken up, but still did as told.
It picked up all five of the guards, who were luckily not dead, off the ground and onto his shoulders.
The level of strength it possessed amazed Ms.
Hollow.
???: [Sorry again about your assistants.
I’ll heal them for you if you want.]
Ms.
Hollow: [Oh no I’m fine!
Just lay them all down for me in a row please?]
He dropped them one by one, letting their bodies hit the ground hard.
Ms.
Hollow: [Okay.
watch this really quick!]
She hovered her hands over the first guard in line.
It watched as her hands started glowing in shock.
Some of her magic started transferring onto the knocked-out guard.
In an instant, the guard suddenly picked himself off the ground, doing a little hop as he entered himself back in.
???: [Oof!
Good grief that fuckin’ hurt…]
The guard’s head slowly looked up to see its face staring directly at him, only a couple of centimetres away.
???: [AHH!
Get away from me!]
It puts its hands up by instinct.
???: [Calm down, man… I’m not gonna kill you or anything…]
???: [W-what?]
Ms.
Hollow: [You’re fine Tom!
Now get up!]
Tom: [Oh thank God!]
He got up off the ground and stepped a couple of inches back from it.
Ms.
Hollow: [Hey!
Mister!
Could you tell me your name really quickly?
I have something I want to talk to you about, and it’s gonna be harder if I don’t know your name…]
It thinks for a second before deciding to answer truthfully.
Rhys: [The name’s Mogi.
only Mogi]
Ms.
Hollow’s face slowly shifted into a smile.
As her hypothesis was correct.
Ms.
Hollow: [Thank you.
You can call me Ms.
Hollow by the way!
Now lets go somewhere more private…]
