Xu Zhixia didn’t bother beating around the bush.

“Where is my jade pendant?”

“What jade pendant?”

Last night she had suddenly dreamed that she owned a jade pendant, wearing it around her neck every day.

With that pendant, she became breathtakingly beautiful, and countless men surrounded her.

Among them were powerful and influential figures.

She rose from being a pitiful girl living off others at the bottom of society to someone adored by the masses.

And those men were especially obsessed with her face.

The pendant seemed to possess some kind of magic. The fruits and vegetables produced from within it were sought after by countless people.

Because of that, everything about her food, clothing, housing, transportation became extravagantly luxurious.

When she woke up, her mind was still foggy. She had transmigrated, and before transmigrating she had read novels.

Wasn’t this her golden finger?

Of course the heavens wouldn’t let her transmigrate alone and helpless. If she had this jade pendant.

What would she have to worry about in the future?

She knew she would soon forget the details of the dream.

So she hurried to recall it. And as she did, she realized why the jade pendant looked so familiar.

It belonged to Xu Zhixia.

But before she could get her hands on it, Xu Zhixia had come.

So she rushed upstairs first to grab it.

Xu Zhixia had plenty of jewelry. She figured it wouldn’t be discovered quickly.

Who would have thought that she had just gotten it, and Xu Zhixia immediately chased after her?

Could it be that she also knew the secret of the pendant?

Their eyes met.

Bai Jingya’s gaze was firm, her chin slightly lifted, arrogant as always.

“You suspect me?”

“You covet other people’s men. Of course you’d covet a jade pendant too.”

The two men of the Xu family had just come upstairs when they heard this. They hadn’t expected Xu Zhixia to say something so willful.

Father Xu immediately interrupted her.

“Xu Zhixia, did all your schooling go to waste?”

Xu Zhixia didn’t bother arguing. She bent down and dumped Bai Jingya’s luggage onto the floor.

Then she began rummaging through it.

Bai Jingya wasn’t someone to be trifled with either. Tears streamed down her face.

“Sister Zhixia, I always treated you like my own sister. If you humiliate me like this, I might as well die.”

As she spoke, she moved as if to smash her head against the wall.

Xu Zhixia marveled inwardly. If she hadn’t lived through a previous life, she never would have realized this was an act.

The two men beside them were heartbroken at the sight.

Xu Linye frowned. With one hand, he stopped Bai Jingya from hitting the wall. With the other, he blocked Xu Zhixia from approaching further.

Compared to Bai Jingya, his own sister truly seemed crude and petty, judging a gentleman with a villain’s heart.

Xu Shuisheng was even angrier.

Today Xu Zhixia had challenged his authority as the head of the household. Seeing Bai Jingya’s face so similar to his first love he felt even more guilty. Back then, Xiuhé had entrusted her to him, and now she had been bullied like this.

Seeing that the two men of the house stood on her side, Bai Jingya felt even prouder. No one would guess that she had hidden the jade pendant inside her bra.

Only there did she feel it was safest.

Xu Zhixia rummaged through the things on the floor and found nothing. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught the fleeting cunning in the woman’s gaze.

In that instant, she was certain the pendant was here.

It must be hidden somewhere concealed.

Bai Jingya spoke softly,

“Sister Zhixia has truly hurt my heart. If you insist, let’s report it to the police. Let them restore my innocence.”

Her words were sincere. Even Mother Xu couldn’t help tugging at her daughter’s hand.

Could it really be that her daughter had misunderstood?

Xu Zhixia gently patted the back of her mother’s hand to reassure her.

When Xu Shuisheng heard this, he naturally believed Bai Jingya. He thought his daughter must have wronged her.

At the same time, he didn’t want this matter to truly involve the police.

If the police were coming and going from their house, what would that look like? What gossip would spread?

He said sternly,

“You unfilial daughter! Apologize at once. Can’t you tolerate a young girl?”

Xu Zhixia sneered.

“I truly can’t tolerate trash.”

Seeing Bai Jingya being bullied felt like knives cutting into Xu Linye’s heart.

He was furious.

“Call the police, then! Call the police! I refuse to believe there’s no justice.”

Xu Zhixia snorted.

“Fine, call them. I’ll just take everything here that belongs to me first.”

As she spoke, she began gathering items. When Bai Jingya first came to their house, she had only the clothes on her back.

Back then, Xu Zhixia had kindly given her many unworn clothes and pieces of jewelry.

Since she was here, she might as well take them all back.

As she packed, she said,

“Tsk, raising you is worse than raising a dog. At least a dog would wag its tail at me. Now you’ve turned into an ungrateful wretch.”

“I’ll take these clothes out later and give them to beggars on the street.”

Xu Linye hadn’t expected her to be completely unafraid of the police, and still say such humiliating things.

Seeing her turn the whole room upside down.

And Bai Jingya looking at him pitifully from the side.

He stepped forward and raised his hand, intending to grab Xu Zhixia.

This time he was prepared. He wouldn’t let her ambush him.

But before he could see what happened, Xu Zhixia had already flipped him over and slammed him to the ground.

“You!”

He felt as though his bones were about to crack. Just as he thought Xu Zhixia would raise her hand to hit him again.

She had already rushed in front of Bai Jingya.

Xu Zhixia directly reached her hand into Bai Jingya’s clothes and began feeling around.

Bai Jingya screamed,

“Ah! What are you doing?!”

“Shut up.”

As soon as the words fell, she felt the jade pendant.

Father Xu had just been about to beat her, but now he was stunned.

“This?”

Bai Jingya hadn’t expected Xu Zhixia to actually find the pendant. Thinking of it as her golden finger, she desperately tried to snatch it back.

“It’s mine!”

She had dreamed of it, had transmigrated of course it was her golden finger.

Seeing the familiar jade pendant, Xu Zhixia kicked her straight in the chest.

The blow made Bai Jingya cough up two mouthfuls of blood.

Xu Zhixia hurriedly shielded the pendant, afraid the blood would splatter onto it.

Father Xu stood there dumbfounded. His daughter had never been this violent before.

Since Bai Jingya claimed it was hers, there must be some misunderstanding.

He stepped between the two of them.

“Jingya says this is hers. How do you prove it’s yours?”

Xu Zhixia wiped the jade pendant on her clothes.
