“How could you be this awful?!”

Soon after the tea party, I was called to go to Andrea’s room. As soon as I entered, Andrea sat me down on the floor and whipped my back.Full novel: Don’t Tell Me You Believe Cinderella’s Story Happens in Real Life?! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Hhng.”

I didn’t scream. I know it will only please her. I bit my lip and held back the scream that almost came out of my mouth. My lips bleed because I bit too hard.

“You always try to embarrass Betty! How are you going to take responsibility when she gets kicked out of the society because of you?”

*whip!*

The whip struck my back repeatedly with great force. Warm liquid trickled down my back. I told myself ‘oh no’ like the thing happening now was someone else’s business as the blood continued to flow.

I had become numb to feeling the pain after being hit a few times. I did feel a burning sensation on my back that made me feel uncomfortable.

Andrea whipped me until she was satisfied then kicked me out of her room.

“Hhng.”

The pain that had disappeared a while ago came back as I walked. I can’t even walk straight.

The room I’m using is in the innermost location of the mansion where the sun doesn’t shine. It feels a bit far from Andrea’s room where the sun shines directly.

“! ?”

“Oh my, I’m sorry~”

I stumbled on something and fell. I knew immediately that it was Betty who tripped me when I saw her favorite red shoes that Father bought her the other day. Follow the newest chapters on novelpin‌g.com.

I wasn’t able to stabilize my body and fell flat on my face.

I looked at her as she giggled.

“Ew, so scary. Don’t stare at me with that ugly face of yours.”

Betty giggled again as she kicked me on my stomach.

“This is your fault, Onee-sama. You tried to humiliate me. You’re so mean!”

“Well, I guess I fell down all by myself. Pretty stupid of me.”

“Shut up, you’re annoying.”

Betty tried to kick me again but I grabbed one of her legs and let her fall.

“Kiyaa!”

Betty lost her balance, and she fell onto her butt. Serves you right.

Betty stared at me and suddenly began to cry.

Mother!”

Andrea immediately rushed over.

“Mother, Onee-sama hit me.”

Andrea glared at me as she hugged her dear child.

“Haven’t you learned your lesson? Fine. Let me punish you again.”

She avoided hitting my face and other body parts that couldn’t be covered, but the wounds extended to my back and stomach.

I have no idea how long she hit me, but when I woke up, I found myself lying in the hallway in front of Andrea’s room. The sky had long turned dark. I realized that it was almost dawn.

“Hhng.”

I tried to stand up but I couldn’t move my body as I wanted to. I quickly fell down. I tried to sit up, but I couldn’t do it either. I had no choice but to crawl up to the wall so I could lean against it to stand up. From there, I walked back to my room.

The dress I was wearing was torn into shreds. I wouldn’t be able to wear it again. So far, the maids had been able to mend some of the dresses that had been ripped up. Unlike Andrea and Betty, I don’t have many dresses. I’m also not allowed to buy them. I could only wear the ones I have over and over again.

I lay in bed in my underwear because I didn’t have the energy to change. I left the dress lying on the floor. I don’t see any problem with that. I shouldn’t have to worry about servants who ignore the daughter of the Lord lying on the hallway just because they’re scared of Andrea.

I’d feared that the pain in my back would keep me awake but I actually fell asleep right away. Maybe because I’ve long reached my limit. Three hours after going to bed, a maid came to wake me up.

I told her, “I’m not feeling well. I don’t want to eat. I’m going to stay here in my room today.”

“The Madam insists that you eat in the dining room.”

“I don’t want to eat.”

“I ask for your understanding, Ojou-sama, but it’s an order. Please get ready to go to the dining room as soon as possible.”

The maid argued. I sighed and got out of bed. At least I was able to rest in bed. I could now manage to walk on my own.

The maid looked at my wounds and looked pained for a moment but she quickly looked away and started to help me dress as if she saw nothing.
