The bed here was soft and comfortable.
The bed in my room back at my father’s mansion was a bit too firm, and the bed sheets were thin. It’s cold during winter.
Rooms adjacent to mine were said to be the servants’ rooms. I was surprised to hear that they took turns sleeping to make sure that there was someone close to me whenever I needed something.
According to them, this was the norm here for high-ranking nobles.
I went straight to my bed and closed my eyes.
“So warm.”

After asking a servant to escort Dahlia to her room, Curtis immediately went on his way to report to Othniel, the king of the kingdom of Estoria.
He had the same silver hair and purple eyes as Curtis. He had a great physique, as he had once fought on the battlefield when he was young and even to this day, he still practices his swordsmanship in between his duties.
“I called a doctor as soon as I came here. Her wounds were quite deep. Some parts were severely torn. Scars on her back will gradually heal but will never disappear.”
“I see.”
Othniel sighed deeply at Curtis’ report.
“I didn’t think that there would be fools who would dare to assault the daughter of a royal member of another kingdom,” Curtis stated matter-of-factly.

“I’ll send a letter of protest to Woodria’s king,” Othniel answered with a sigh.
“But the person involved is one of the four great dukes of their kingdom. I’m sure there will be political issues involved. We shouldn’t expect much from him.”
Othniel smiled bitterly at his son. Curtis understood immediately what that meant.
“At least, I want her to be able to live here with her mind at ease.”
“I agree.”
