The night passed without incident.

The faint morning light filtered through the cracks in the window, chasing away the last trace of darkness inside the Dormitory.

Akira opened his eyes, and the exhaustion in his body had been swept away, replaced by an unprecedented sense of fulfillment.Full novel: Dormitory Survival: My Roommate Is an Anime Heroine — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He sat up without making a sound.

The sound of even and steady breathing came from the upper bunk; Takagi Saya was still fast asleep.

Takagi Saya was curled up on her side, seeming to sleep very deeply.

The oversized T-shirt on her body rolled up due to her sleeping position, revealing a section of fair and tight waist, while the quilt slipped to the side, outlining the girl’s undulating and exquisite curves, one leg slightly curled up, and the other stretched straight, making that arc appear even more prominent and perky.

Akira looked away, and with a movement of his mind, brought up the [Chat Channel].

Unlike yesterday’s dead silence, the chat channel at this moment had completely exploded.

[East District – Building 3: Who can tell me what is going on!

I was in this ghost place as soon as I woke up!]

[North District – Building 1: Help!

There are monsters outside!

My roommate was dragged out!

Help!]

[West District – Building 5: Is this a kidnapping?

Or some reality show?

Let me out!]

[East District – Building 2: My talent is D-rank [Increase Satiety], what’s the use of it!

We have no food!]

[North District – Building 2: I awakened a talent, D-rank [Strength Enhancement], are there any bigshots to carry me?]

[East District – Building 1: To the person above, my talent is C-rank [Fireball Technique], but I don’t dare to go out at all, there are zombies all outside the door!]

[West District – Building 5: Food, who has food?

I’m starving to death!

I’ll trade it for my newly found baseball bat!]

Messages were frantically refreshing one after another, and the emotions of despair, fear, and chaos were almost spilling out of the screen from the text.

Most people were at a loss on the first day, and casualties had even already appeared.

Right at this moment, a rustling sound came from the upper bunk.

Takagi Saya sat up with sleepy eyes, stretching lazily, and the slightly oversized T-shirt on her body instantly tightened, with the hem rolling up to reveal a section of fair and slender waist.

She yawned and began to climb down from the upper bunk in a daze; perhaps because she had just woken up, her movements were a bit clumsy.

First, she extended a slender and straight leg past the edge of the bed, her smooth calf shaking in the air as she tried to reach the ladder below.

Then, her entire body moved downward, and the oversized T-shirt was pulled upward, tightly stretched across her chest.

The full arc was almost going to burst through the fabric, and the girl’s consciousness seemed still a bit drifting, with the ladder rung sinking tightly into that soft, rounded fullness before her chest.

Akira happened to look up, and the girl’s legs wearing shorts were right in front of him, well-proportioned and slender.

With her downward crawling motion, the edges of the shorts moved slightly upward.

Takagi Saya stepped on the ground, rubbed her eyes, and seeing that Akira was looking at her, her cheeks blushed.

She instantly woke up, crossed her arms over her chest, and resumed that arrogant posture.

“What are you looking at!

Have you never seen a genius pretty girl wake up?”

Akira ignored her stubbornness and pointed to the front of his line of sight: “Take a look at the chat channel, it seems the game has officially begun.”

Takagi Saya was stunned for a moment and also opened her own panel.

When she saw those messages filled with wails and calls for help, the proud expression on her face vanished.

“It seems our luck is indeed not bad,” she said softly.

At least they had survived the first day.

“Gurgle~”

An untimely sound broke the quietness in the room.

Takagi Saya’s movements stiffened, her face blushed even more, and she instinctively covered her stomach.

Akira also felt the emptiness in his stomach.

“We should find something to eat,” he spoke calmly.

“Nonsense, do you need to tell me?” Takagi Saya retorted stubbornly, but still walked over to Akira’s side.

“Let’s first see what supplies we have,” Akira said as he opened the [Backpack] interface.

Takagi Saya opened hers as well.

Two virtual storage slots appeared before their eyes, and the things inside were pitifully few.

[Backpack]

[Mineral Water (Bottle) x1]

[Shelf Life: 365 Days]

[Thirst: +20]

[Fresh Bread x1]

[Shelf Life: 3 Days]

[Satiety: +30]

In both of their backpacks, the items were identical, consisting of one portion of bread and water.

Takagi Saya’s expression instantly turned ugly.

She opened her attribute panel, and the two values of satiety and thirst had dropped from 70 yesterday to 40.

“Food is not enough,” she frowned, her voice carrying a trace of anxiety.

“For the two of us, this little bit of stuff won’t even last through today.

By nightfall, our attributes will start to decline.”

The threat of hunger and thirst was more direct and deadlier than last night’s zombies.

“I know.”

Akira stood up, walked to the window, and looked outside.

The blood mist had dispersed, and that roaming zombie had already been devoured by Akira.

Under the sunlight outside the Dormitory, it appeared unusually quiet, yet lifeless.

He turned around, his gaze falling on Takagi Saya.

“Get ready, we have to go out to find things.”

Hearing this, Takagi Saya suddenly remembered.

“Right, when my [Tactical Reconnaissance] was triggered yesterday, it also detected a supply point within one hundred meters of here.”

[Dormitory Area Canteen]

[Difficulty: Low]

[Resources: Food Resources, Water Resources]

[Note: There is a certain amount of danger, two low-level zombies are active here]

“The two zombies currently near us should all be in that canteen,” Takagi Saya swallowed a mouthful of saliva, her gaze showing some panic.

“Two?” Akira murmured, swinging and gripping his arm, feeling the overflowing strength.

“Let’s go, the difference isn’t big.”

The setting of low-level zombies should be that they couldn’t beat an ordinary adult male in a one-on-one fight, and zombies during the day had a small perception range.

As long as the right strategy was used, dealing with them shouldn’t be too difficult.

“Let’s go.” Akira picked up the sharp wooden stick that had already seen blood, and with his other hand pushed open the heavy iron door.

Outside the door, the corridor was dead silent.

Sunlight cast in from the window at the end of the corridor, pulling out long light bands on the ground, with tiny dust motes floating in the air.

Akira took the lead and walked out, with Takagi Saya closely following behind, vigilantly observing her surroundings.

“Wait.”

Having walked only a few steps, Takagi Saya suddenly pulled on the corner of Akira’s clothes.

Akira stopped his footsteps and turned back to inquire with his eyes.

“It’s a bit strange.” Takagi Saya adjusted her glasses, pointing to the Dormitory door next to them, “Look.”

That door was identical to the ragged wooden door they had before, but at this moment it was ajar, revealing a pitch-black gap.

Not just that one.

Looking out, the entire second-floor corridor, all the Dormitory doors, were in the same bizarre, half-open state.

“I noticed it yesterday; not just the second floor where we are, but there isn’t a single resident on the first floor of the Dormitory either.”

With a creak, the door was fully pushed open by Akira.

Inside, it was completely empty.

Bunk beds made of iron frames, paint-peeling desks, all the furnishings were there, yet there wasn’t half a person’s figure, nor even a trace of anyone having lived there.

“Could it be that in this Dormitory Survival Game, there are only the two of us players in this building?” Takagi Saya leaned against the stair railing, holding her chin with her right hand and thinking with a tensed body,

“Stop thinking about it for now.” Akira’s voice interrupted her thoughts.

“No matter what, surviving is the number one priority.”

He glanced outside; the sunlight was just right.

“Our goal is the canteen, get food and water, and then come back.”

Takagi Saya took a deep breath, forcefully suppressing the chaotic thoughts in her heart, and nodded.

The outdoor air carried a mixed scent of post-rain green grass and a faint bloody smell.

Several buildings stood quietly in the distance, very far away from them, with the distance between each Dormitory being over 3 kilometers.

According to Takagi Saya’s memory, the canteen was diagonally opposite the Dormitory building, at a distance of less than one hundred meters.

The two did not take the main road, but instead chose to walk along the edge of the green belt, utilizing the cover of trees and bushes to advance silently.

Soon, the canteen hanging the “Campus Convenience Store” sign appeared before their eyes.

The glass door was stained with dried dark red smudges, making it impossible to see the specific situation inside clearly.
