Dormitory Building.

The moment Lin Yaoyang pushed open the door, a strong, musty smell rushed at him, nearly making him sneeze.

He covered his nose and frowned as he surveyed the place he would be living in for at least a year.Full novel: Douluo 2: Adopted by Snow Empress, I awaken Sun God Apollo Spirit — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The dormitory was tiny, barely over ten square meters.

Two single beds occupied most of the space, their bare wooden boards covered in dust.

Besides that, there was only a table and two iron lockers, all empty.

Lin Yaoyang shook his head, walked to the window, and pushed it open forcefully.

As fresh air rushed in, it carried away the stale odor in the room.

He waited a while, until the smell had dissipated, before he started cleaning.

He chose the bed by the window.

He took a rag out of his storage soul tool and wiped the bed board, tabletop, and lockers inside and out twice, only stopping when no dust remained.

Then, he laid out his bedding and tidied up the table.

The entire process was clean and efficient, taking less than half an hour.

Lin Yaoyang looked at the dusty bed opposite his, having no intention of helping to clean it.

That was the business of his roommate, whom he had yet to meet.

He sat at the table and took an item out of his storage soul tool—the storage bracelet he had seized from the Level 9 Soul Engineer.

He hadn’t had a chance to carefully examine this item since he got his hands on it.

Now, he finally had the time.

Lin Yaoyang probed the bracelet with his Mental Energy and began to inventory the items inside.

The first thing that caught his eye were the spirit tools.

Ranging from Level 9 down to Level 1, there was a vast assortment, at least twenty or thirty pieces.

There were offensive, defensive, auxiliary, and escape types—everything one could need.

Lin Yaoyang didn’t know much about spirit tools, but just by looking at the intricate patterns and the circulating energy fluctuations, he knew these items were incredibly valuable.

Next were the rare metal Materials.

Ores of various sizes piled up half the storage space; some he had seen in books, while others he couldn’t name at all.

There was also a large stack of blueprints and documents.

Lin Yaoyang flipped through them casually; most were spirit tool design blueprints, along with some research notes and theoretical Materials.

Finally, in the deepest part of the storage space, he found something that made his eyes light up.

A palm-sized golden square platform.

It must be the Sealing God Platform.

Lin Yaoyang took it out and placed it on the table to examine it closely.

The entire square platform was pale gold, its surface engraved with dense mechanisms, and there was a groove in the center that seemed designed to hold something.

Was this the Level 9 spirit tool that had sealed the Snow Empress embryo in the original story?

He turned it over and over for a long time but couldn’t make heads or tails of it.

The construction of this thing was too complex; with his current knowledge of spirit tools, he couldn’t understand it at all.

“I’ll deal with it later,” Lin Yaoyang muttered, putting away the Sealing God Platform and taking out the research notes of that Level 9 Soul Engineer.

This was what he was truly interested in.

Lin Yaoyang opened the notes and began to read carefully.

…

An hour later.

Lin Yaoyang closed the notes and rubbed his sore eyes.

The content in the notes was much more profound than he had imagined.

He only understood many of the theories half-heartedly; after all, he had never systematically studied knowledge of spirit tools.

However, he could still grasp some of the basic parts.

“It seems I need to find time to systematically study spirit tools,” he said to himself, putting the notes away.

He looked at the sky outside the window.

The sun was already setting, and the horizon was dyed with a layer of orange-red sunset glow.

It was time to eat.

Lin Yaoyang stood up, stretched, pushed the door open, and walked out of the dormitory.

…

Each grade had its own exclusive cafeteria, located right behind the dormitory area.

There were quite a lot of people in the cafeteria at this time.

The cafeteria was large, but there wasn’t a single table or chair; it was completely an open space, with only sinks on one side for washing hands and tableware.

Lin Yaoyang looked at the sign at the entrance, which stated that food was strictly prohibited from being taken out of the cafeteria.

Lin Yaoyang scoffed and walked into the first-floor hall, where quite a few people were already present.

On the inner side, prices were marked outside each service window.

There were eight windows in total, with different dishes, and the prices became more expensive from right to left.

He went straight to the leftmost window.

When out and about, be good to yourself; eat the best!

He ordered three dishes and a serving of rice.

The uncle chef behind the window glanced at him and then efficiently packed it for him.

Lin Yaoyang paid, put the food into his storage soul tool, and turned to leave.

“Hey, student!” the chef behind him shouted.

“Food cannot be taken out of the cafeteria!”

Lin Yaoyang waved his hand without turning his head and pushed the door open to leave.

The uncle chef was stunned for a moment, shook his head, and didn’t chase after him.

…

Meanwhile.

Inner Court, Dean’s office.

Director Du Weilun knocked on the door, and upon hearing a “Come in” from inside, he pushed the door open and walked in.

The office was simply furnished with a large desk, a few chairs, and some calligraphy and paintings hanging on the wall.

Sitting behind the desk was a man in white, with an elegant temperament and a thin face.

The Dean of the Martial Soul Department, Yan Shaozhe.

“Dean, good news!” Director Du Weilun started as soon as he entered, his face filled with unconcealable joy.

“This year, a peerless Genius has come to our Shrek Academy!”

Yan Shaozhe looked up, put down the pen in his hand, and smiled.

“Oh?

Is that so?

Tell me about it.”

Director Du Weilun walked to the desk and handed over the documents in his hand.

“During the new student registration today, there was a Level 42 student!”

“Level 42?” Yan Shaozhe’s smile paused slightly, and he took the documents to flip through them.

“Are you sure the age isn’t wrong?”

“Certain!

The bone age test was done twice, and both were twelve years old.”

After finishing the documents, Yan Shaozhe leaned back in his chair and sighed deeply.

“A Genius…

absolutely a Genius!”

He paused and asked again, “What is his name?

What is his Spirit?

Where is he from?”

Director Du Weilun answered one by one, “Lin Yaoyang, from Lingxue City, Heavenly Soul Empire.

His Spirit is…

Apollo.”

“Apollo?” Yan Shaozhe was stunned.

“What kind of Spirit is that?”

Director Du Weilun shook his head.

“I’m not sure either.

However, according to the description from the registration Teacher, when he releases his Spirit, a huge golden humanoid phantom appears behind him, emitting an extremely intense heat.

It should be an extremely powerful Beast Spirit, and it is fire-attribute.”

“Fire-attribute?” Yan Shaozhe’s eyes lit up slightly.

A twelve-year-old Spirit Ancestor with a fire-attribute Spirit…

Could it be that heaven has favored him once again?

Sending him another peerless Genius to be his disciple?

Thinking of this, Yan Shaozhe felt a surge of joy, and the smile on his face deepened.

Director Du Weilun interrupted his train of thought.

“Dean Yan, the problem now is that Lin Yaoyang’s cultivation has reached the level of the upper grades.

Should we transfer him to the upper grades?”

He paused and added, “He is currently assigned to Freshman Class 1, Zhou Yi’s class.”

“Zhou Yi?” Yan Shaozhe’s smile froze on his face, and his brows immediately knitted together.

See you in the next one!
