Douluo Planet.

Golden light fell onto a wasteland, smashing a deep crater.

The shockwave created a surge of air that spread in all directions, startling countless birds and beasts.Full novel: Douluo 2: Adopted by Snow Empress, I awaken Sun God Apollo Spirit — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The figure of the Plane Consciousness appeared out of thin air, standing by the edge of the crater.

The golden light had dimmed significantly.

It finally saw clearly what was at the bottom of the crater.

It wasn’t some meteorite from beyond the heavens.

Nor was it a fragment of a Divine Artifact.

It was an infant.

A sleeping infant wrapped in a faint golden glow.

He slept deeply.

His tiny brow was slightly furrowed, as if he were having an unpleasant dream.

His small hands were clenched into fists, held tightly against his chest.

His skin was fair and tender, his features delicate; if not for that layer of golden light, he would look no different from any other human infant.

The Plane Consciousness was stunned.

For no other reason than…

It saw that the golden light protecting the infant was instinctively and frantically devouring the surrounding energy.

The free Soul Power in the space was greedily absorbed into the body by that golden light, then transformed into gentle nourishment and delivered to the sleeping infant in the center.

That method of devouring…

The expression of the Plane Consciousness changed.

That instinct to ignore rules and plunder directly, that posture as if naturally born to stand above all things…

It was all too familiar.

This was a greedy, aggressive aura that did not belong to this World.

An extraterrestrial demon.

This was the first thought that popped into its head.

It should kill him.

This was the second thought.

Although that layer of golden light was strange, it was still too weak.

It only needed to use a sliver of Origin power to completely erase this infant from existence.

The humanoid silhouette slowly raised a hand, a point of light condensing in its palm.

But just as it was about to strike, it suddenly stopped.

It looked at the infant.

The infant’s brow furrowed deeper.

His small mouth opened slightly, as if calling out in his sleep.

His clenched little fists trembled gently, as if trying to grab onto something.

The hand of the Plane Consciousness hung in mid-air.

A thought suddenly flashed through its mind.

Tang San was also an extraterrestrial demon.

Tang San was currently devouring it.

And the infant before it was also an extraterrestrial demon.

If…

What if it let this infant deal with Tang San?

Once this idea appeared, it grew wildly like weeds, instantly occupying its entire consciousness.

Tang San was too strong.

The Children of Luck it had nurtured were as vulnerable as ants before Tang San.

Because Tang San understood destiny, rules, and every power that beings within the plane could possess.

But this infant was different.

He did not belong to this World.

Tang San’s methods of manipulating destiny might not necessarily work on him.

And since they were both “extraterrestrial demons,” perhaps only power from the same source could truly contend with each other.

A thought so crazy it even startled itself emerged from the depths of its heart.

Use magic to defeat magic.

Use an extraterrestrial demon to defeat an extraterrestrial demon!

The gaze of the Plane Consciousness changed.

Its gaze toward the infant gradually shifted from initial wariness and killing intent to something more complex.

Finally, within that complex emotion, a hint of…

kindness emerged.

This little fellow was no extraterrestrial demon.

This was its most beloved Descender!

With a wave of the Plane Consciousness’s hand.

In the void, a brilliant light appeared out of thin air, condensing into a gold-red sphere of light.

That was the last of Douluo Planet’s Luck Origin.

Originally, it wanted to use this mass of Luck to gamble everything on creating a “Child of Luck” capable of contending with Tang San.

But now, it had a better choice.

Half.

It set aside half of the Luck, turning it into a stream of light that injected into the infant’s body.

After finishing, it began to worry again.

Where should it leave this little fellow to be raised?

Shrek?

No, that was Tang San’s territory.

The Four Great Empires?

That didn’t seem right either…

The Plane Consciousness pondered for a long time, its gaze falling upon the northernmost part of the continent.

There lay the Far North.

Frozen all year round and sparsely populated.

Even a Titled Douluo would not dare to venture deep into the Core Circle.

I hope you can explore a path to change the ecology between humans and Spirit Beasts…

The Plane Consciousness made a decision.

With a wave of its hand, the infant turned into a stream of light and flew toward the Far North.

The edge of the Far North Core Circle.

This place was covered in ice and snow year-round, with temperatures low enough to freeze and shatter the Soul Power shields of ordinary Spirit Masters.

The howling blizzard obscured vision, with visibility less than three meters.

Amidst this bitter cold capable of freezing everything, a cluster of golden light descended from the sky, landing gently upon an ice mound.

Then, the golden light slowly dissipated.

An infant who looked no more than three months old lay quietly in the snow.

His brow was slightly furrowed, but a faint curve played at the corners of his mouth.

As if sensing the surrounding cold, the tiny body instinctively curled up.

But soon, a warm breath emanated from his body, melting the surrounding ice and snow into a shallow ring of puddles.

No one knew how much time had passed; the snow and wind of the Far North never ceased.

But at this moment, a figure stood quietly amidst the blizzard.

It was a beautiful white silhouette, as if merging with the surrounding ice and snow.

A head of pure white long hair trailed behind her all the way to her feet.

Her sky-blue eyes were ethereal and transparent, as if capable of seeing through everything in the World.

Her slender, graceful body was flawless; though her white gown lacked any decoration, it made her appear so noble and peerless.

Snow Empress.

The true Dominator of the Far North, an existence transformed from a seven-hundred-thousand-year-old Ice and Snow Spirit.

In the World of Spirit Beasts, her name signified absolute power and majesty.

Just now, she had sensed a spatial fluctuation.

At first, she thought Di Tian had come to attack.

But when her Mental Energy swept over that direction, her brow furrowed slightly.

There was no aura of Di Tian.

Only an…

infant?

Snow Empress’s figure flickered and vanished into the blizzard.

Before long, she arrived at the infant’s location.

The infant was still there.

That faint layer of golden light had become very weak, but it still wrapped the infant securely.

Furthermore, the snow surrounding the infant had melted away completely, and even the ground had become dry and warm.

One must know that this was the edge of the Far North Core Circle; the permafrost that hadn’t melted for ten thousand years now looked as if it had been toasted by fire.

A hint of surprise flashed in the Snow Empress’s eyes.

A human infant capable of surviving in the Far North was a miracle in itself.

And this infant had not only survived but was doing quite well.

She reached out her snowy-white hand and gently picked up the infant.

The first sensation upon contact was: warm!

It was a very comfortable warmth.

Not the searing heat of an ordinary fire, but a moist warmth, as if spring sunlight were spilling over one’s body.

As an Ice Sky Snow Lady, the Snow Empress naturally loathed all things hot.

But the infant in her arms now did not cause her the slightest bit of repulsion.

In fact, she even felt a faint sense of comfort.

This feeling was very strange.

This child…

what exactly is his Origin?

The Snow Empress fell silent for a moment, pulling the infant closer into her arms.

As if sensing her kindness, the infant instead snuggled into her arms, as if he had found a comfortable nest.

See you in the next one!
