Tang Chen exerted all his strength as he swung the Clear Sky Hammer, desperately attempting to block the scorching crimson beam, but the result was far from satisfactory.

The terrifying power of the Atomic Breath instantly heated the Clear Sky Hammer until it glowed bright red, and the enormous pressure placed upon the Martial Soul finally became too much for it to withstand.

The Clear Sky Hammer’s energy structure began to collapse.Full novel: Douluo Dalu: Reincarnated As Godzilla — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Then it shattered.

The backlash caused by the shattered Martial Soul instantly surged through Tang Chen’s body, causing him to spit out a mouthful of blood as his face turned deathly pale.

The intense heat continued burning through his body, scorching his flesh and skin until a pungent smell of charred flesh filled the air.

Tang Chen could clearly feel the crimson beam becoming increasingly powerful, as though the terrifying light would completely devour him in the very next second.

However, an unexpected change suddenly occurred.

The Atomic Breath abruptly shifted its trajectory.

The terrifying crimson beam swept past Tang Chen’s body, barely grazing his left arm before continuing into the distance with a deafening roar.

Tang Chen felt the overwhelming pressure surrounding his body instantly disappear.

His strength had already been completely drained, and his body began falling helplessly from the sky.

Qian Daoliu immediately seized the opportunity and flew forward, catching Tang Chen before he could crash into the ground.

Tang Chen gasped for breath, his eyes still filled with lingering fear as he stared toward Godzilla.

The enormous beast’s body was slowly sinking.

The mountain upon which the Sea God Temple had been constructed had completely collapsed beneath Godzilla’s astonishing weight, causing his enormous body to sink into the turbulent seawater.

The surrounding currents surged violently, creating enormous waves that crashed against the ruined coastline.

Tang Chen watched the scene with a complicated mixture of relief and lingering fear.

“If the ground hadn’t suddenly collapsed…”

He swallowed hard.

“I’m afraid my life would have ended here.”

Qian Daoliu did not answer.

He merely stared at Godzilla, whose enormous body was gradually being swallowed by the deep sea, and his expression became increasingly complicated.

The creature before them was undoubtedly a Divine Beast.

In terms of direct ground combat, Qian Daoliu had to admit that his strength was inferior to Tang Chen’s.

Yet even a supreme powerhouse like Tang Chen had almost died at the hands of this enormous beast.

If Godzilla had not accidentally lost his footing when the ground collapsed, Tang Chen would probably have lost far more than his left arm.

He might have lost his life entirely.

“Rumble—!”

The deafening noise continued without interruption.

The Sea God Temple had already been melted into a gigantic hole by Godzilla’s previous Atomic Breath.

The terrifying spiral beam from moments ago had pushed its penetrating power to an even more absurd level, while the residual heat spreading through the surrounding earth had continued melting the terrain.

Combined with Godzilla’s astonishing weight of roughly seventy thousand tons, the already weakened mountain finally collapsed beneath him.

Most of Godzilla’s enormous body disappeared beneath the collapsed ruins and seawater.

For several moments, the surrounding ocean was filled with nothing but enormous waves and drifting debris.

Then a deep, dissatisfied roar suddenly emerged from beneath the water.

“What a crappy place!”

Godzilla’s voice thundered across the coastline.

“The house was built so poorly!”

He continuously spat out the mud and seawater that had entered his mouth, his furious roar causing the entire island to tremble.

The sound waves produced by his roar were so powerful that they seemed almost tangible, forcefully scattering the clouds covering the sky.

Immediately afterward, Godzilla opened his enormous mouth.

Another Atomic Breath erupted.

The crimson beam tore through the collapsed ground and burned a gigantic passage through the ruins.

Godzilla then exerted his enormous strength and climbed out of the collapsed mountain.

Once the gigantic beast had stabilized himself, he raised his head and released another thunderous roar toward the heavens.

Then he turned his head toward Bo Saixi.

A low growl escaped his throat.

Bo Saixi stared at him for several seconds before turning toward Xiao Bai with an awkward and bitter smile.

“Xiao Bai, does it sound like he’s complaining about me?”

Xiao Bai could not help shivering.

“To be honest, I think he’s probably scolding everyone.”

Bo Saixi helplessly shook her head.

“The Sea God Temple was destroyed by him, the mountain was dug through by him, and the collapse was caused by his own weight…

So why exactly is he complaining about me?”

Before Xiao Bai could answer, a deep voice suddenly came from the distance.

“Lady Bo Saixi, I have brought back the Spirit Bones!”

The enormous figure of Sea Dragon Douluo soon appeared beside Bo Saixi.

He solemnly took five Spirit Bones from within his storage equipment.

Each Spirit Bone shimmered with strange and alluring energy.

The moment that energy appeared, Godzilla’s attention was immediately drawn toward them.

The enormous beast’s anger gradually subsided.

His massive body relaxed slightly.

Bo Saixi noticed Godzilla’s gaze immediately.

She did not dare neglect the opportunity.

Holding the Spirit Bones carefully, she flew toward the enormous beast.

Although the surrounding heat continued scorching her skin, Bo Saixi maintained an expression of complete sincerity.

She stopped before Godzilla, bowed respectfully, and spoke.

“Lord Sacred Beast, I still sincerely implore you to remain on Sea God Island and protect the people of the ocean.

As payment, we will do everything within our power to search for more Spirit Bones and provide them to you.”

Before she could finish speaking, Bo Saixi summoned a clear stream of water.

The water gently lifted the five Spirit Bones into the air.

She then guided them toward Godzilla’s enormous mouth with the utmost respect.

Godzilla narrowed his golden eyes.

He stared at Bo Saixi for a moment, seemingly weighing the sincerity contained within her actions.

Then he gave a soft snort.

This was much more like the attitude of someone asking him for a favor.

He slowly opened his enormous jaws.

Bo Saixi personally guided the Spirit Bones into his mouth.

Crunch.

A satisfied sound immediately emerged from Godzilla’s jaws as he began chewing the Spirit Bones.

Bo Saixi’s eyes instantly brightened.

“It succeeded!”

Her heart filled with excitement, and the joy almost seemed to burst from her chest.

She immediately seized the opportunity to continue.

“Spirit Hall and the Clear Sky Sect attacked Sea God Island, so we can use this opportunity to demand compensation from them and obtain even more Spirit Bones for Lord Sacred Beast!”

The moment those words were spoken, Godzilla’s originally lazy expression changed.

His enormous body slowly straightened.

His golden eyes became incredibly resolute.

The world was vast.

But eating was the most important thing.

In Godzilla’s heart, this was absolutely not about obtaining more Spirit Bones.

No.

He was simply demonstrating his greatness.

He was being a noble beast.

A pure beast.

A beast with morals.

A beast that had transcended low-level interests.

A beast that was always willing to help others.

That was all.

Absolutely nothing else.

Seeing Godzilla turn around and begin walking toward the direction of the Spirit Hall fleet, Bo Saixi finally released the breath she had unknowingly been holding.

She knew it.

The crisis facing Sea God Island had finally been resolved.

“The Sacred Beast has agreed to stay!”

Bo Saixi immediately turned around and decisively instructed Xiao Bai and Sea Dragon Douluo.

“Besides Spirit Bones, we can also capture some ten-thousand-year Spirit Beasts.

The legends say that the Sacred Beast has hunted Spirit Beasts before, correct?

Remember, you must go into the deep sea and capture them alive!”

Sea Dragon Douluo finally released a long breath of relief.

After nodding in agreement, he immediately turned around and continued searching for Spirit Bones.

Xiao Bai also felt relieved.

She raised her head and watched Godzilla’s enormous figure gradually disappear into the distance.

Then she noticed something familiar between his enormous jaws.

The Sea God Trident.

The same divine weapon that had once belonged to her former master was now being carried around like a toothpick.

Xiao Bai stared at the sight for a long moment.

An indescribable feeling emerged within her heart.

Finally, she silently prayed toward the heavens.

Sea God Island had at least been preserved.

Master…

Your Spirit in heaven should understand why we made this choice.

Sea God Island ShoreSpirit Hall Camp

“It is I, Tang Chen, whose skills were insufficiently refined.

Farewell!”

Tang Chen’s voice was filled with helplessness and pain.

His left arm had completely disappeared.

Only a charred wound remained at his shoulder.

Fortunately, the terrifying heat from Godzilla’s attack had cauterized the wound, preventing him from suffering massive blood loss.

Tang Chen endured the intense pain and gave Qian Daoliu a one-handed cupped-fist salute.

Then he immediately turned around and began leaving.

“What a joke…”

Tang Chen muttered beneath his breath as he walked away.

“If I stay here any longer, I might not even be able to save my own life.”

I was really muddled.

How could I have accompanied Qian Daoliu to such a dangerous place?

I must have been bored out of my mind.

“You…”

Qian Daoliu watched Tang Chen quickly disappear into the distance.

For a moment, he was completely speechless.

Only then did he fully realize that Tang Chen had dragged him into this mess.

Originally, Qian Daoliu had merely intended to come to Sea God Island and seek justice for Spirit Hall.

He had never expected Tang Chen to provoke the Sacred Beast directly.

Qian Daoliu’s expression darkened.

“Everyone, retreat immediately!”

He barely suppressed the anger boiling within his chest before issuing the order.

His voice echoed throughout the entire camp.

The Spirit Hall forces immediately began moving.

Everyone followed the order and rapidly withdrew from Sea God Island.

Bibi Dong had already helped Tang Chen away from Qian Daoliu’s side and was following the retreat toward the rear of the camp.

However, her mind was still occupied by the terrifying sight she had witnessed.

She turned toward Yu Xiaogang with a solemn expression.

“Xiaogang, tell me something.”

She paused briefly before continuing.

“Is there any creature in this world that can naturally grow to one or two hundred meters tall and release flames that even a Level 99 Titled Douluo cannot withstand?”

Bibi Dong had personally witnessed the terrifying strength of that enormous Sacred Beast.

The shock in her heart had yet to fade.

She was astonished by its strength, but beneath that astonishment was something far more complicated.

An instinctive anxiety.

Because if an existence like that truly existed naturally…

Then what exactly did that mean for the balance of power in this world?

Yu Xiaogang’s expression became unusually solemn.

For perhaps the first time, even he could not immediately produce an answer.

The creature they had just encountered had already exceeded the limits of what he believed a Spirit Beast could naturally achieve.

And the more he thought about it, the more terrifying the implications became.
