Douluo Continent, Star Dou Great Forest, outskirts.
The Star Dou Great Forest is one of the most vast and ancient soul beast habitats on the Douluo Continent.
At a glance, endless towering ancient trees stretch as far as the eye can see, filling the air with the unique fragrance and rich vitality of the forest.
In this outer region, the majority of the soul beasts are below the ten-thousand-year level.
But even so, ordinary Soul King experts need to tread carefully.
However, within this incredibly dangerous forest, an utterly bizarre scene was taking place.
A massive, ice-jade-colored scorpion, over three meters long, was advancing with steady steps.
And on the back of this giant scorpion sat a human!
Setting aside the inherent tension and hatred between humans and soul beasts, the mere presence of this giant scorpion here was unbelievable enough.
This giant ice-jade scorpion was a species exclusive to the Extreme North, and one of its top-tier overlords at that.
Its name was the Ice Jade Scorpion.
Legend has it that there are three super soul beasts in the Extreme North, known as the Three Heavenly Kings.
All three possess cultivation exceeding one hundred thousand years and are known as Savage Beasts!
One of these Savage Beasts comes from the Ice Jade Scorpion clan—the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion, ranked seventh among the Ten Great Savage Beasts!
Yet, such a powerful and terrifying Ice Jade Scorpion had now become a human’s mount?
Anyone witnessing this would be absolutely astounded.
What was even more unbelievable was that the human riding the scorpion was quite young.
Judging by his face, he was definitely no older than fifteen.
Putting aside how this young man managed to tame an Ice Jade Scorpion with at least a thousand years of cultivation, just his courage to brave the Star Dou Great Forest alone was jaw-dropping.
As the oldest and most dangerous soul beast forest, it was indeed synonymous with opportunity and miracles, but the perils within were beyond imagination.
Even with this powerful Ice Jade Scorpion as a guardian, survival here was not guaranteed.
The boy on the scorpion’s back looked to be around fifteen.
He had sword-like eyebrows and bright eyes, standing at 1.83 meters tall.
He had broad shoulders, a narrow waist, long legs, a V-shaped torso, and cool, pale skin.
His black hair was tied back in an immaculate ponytail, and he wore a neat, refreshing black training outfit.
His name was Zhou Sichen.
He was a transmigrator.
For some unknown reason, he had crossed over into the world of Douluo Dalu: The Unrivaled Tang Sect and had become the character sharing his exact name.
Perhaps others might not even remember this minor character, but because they shared the same name, Zhou Sichen remembered him well.
In the original story, Zhou Sichen’s martial soul was a mutated Treasure Book.
With his mutated martial soul and decent innate soul power, he had a high probability of becoming a strong expert in the future.
When he originally read the story, he felt it was just the protagonist’s plot armor at work—during the freshman tournament, Zhou Sichen and his teammates were defeated before they could even display their true strength.
They clearly had powerful martial souls, yet they lost miserably to the cheating protagonist, Huo Yuhao.
Fortunately, everything was different now, because the current Zhou Sichen had transmigrated here.
Perhaps it was a transmigrator’s perk, but his Treasure Book martial soul seemed to have undergone an even more powerful mutation.
Now, it was no longer called the Treasure Book; it was the Book of Contracts.
The Ice Jade Scorpion beneath him was the product of his first soul ring, and his first contracted soul beast.
It was precisely because of this that he could freely command such a powerful beast.
But the Book of Contracts’ power went far beyond this.
Leaving aside other matters, the fact that he already possessed thirty-seven ranks of soul power at the age of twelve was the best proof.
This was even while he hadn’t fully focused all his attention on martial soul cultivation.
If he had dedicated himself entirely to it, he might have reached rank forty by now.
But his current progress wasn’t bad.
Reaching rank thirty-seven at twelve meant breaking through rank forty before turning thirteen would be no problem.
Zhou Sichen didn’t start off as an orphan.
In this world, he had family and friends.
The Zhou family he belonged to was a respectable faction on the continent.
His grandfather was a powerful Spirit Douluo.
In a world that relied on background and strength, this gave him some measure of self-preservation.
Because of this, Zhou Sichen never lacked cultivation resources growing up.
The family met almost all of his requests, which allowed him to achieve his current cultivation and strength.
Right now, Zhou Sichen sat casually as if nothing was amiss, not feeling the slightest bump no matter how the scorpion moved.
The Ice Jade Scorpion’s massive body navigated through the giant ancient trees.
Whenever it encountered an obstacle, its two enormous pincers reached out and cleared the path instantly.
As the scorpion moved swiftly, Zhou Sichen closed his eyes.
Being only rank thirty-seven, he naturally didn’t come to the Star Dou Great Forest alone to hunt for a soul ring.
The reason he came at this specific time was, of course, to intercept Huo Yuhao’s very first “cheat code” from the original story!
Actually, this wasn’t Zhou Sichen’s first time here.
But if he came up empty-handed again this time, the million-year soul ring and the necromancer Electrolux might elude him forever.
At this moment, the Ice Jade Scorpion beneath him released the terrifying aura exclusive to a thousand-year soul beast without holding anything back.
He was…
trying to bait the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm.
Would an Ice Jade Scorpion, a species unique to the Extreme North, suddenly appearing in the Star Dou Great Forest catch the silkworm’s attention?
The answer was a resounding yes.
Although the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm had average combat power, its spiritual power was unmatched.
Besides the scorpion’s aura, Zhou Sichen also released his own massive spiritual power outwards.
He knew that the host the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm needed had to be a spiritual-type soul master.
And he just so happened to fit the bill.
This was because, in addition to the Book of Contracts, Zhou Sichen had awakened a second martial soul.
He was a genuine twin martial soul possessor.
Twin martial souls might not be considered that unique in this era—after all, there were quite a few people who had them.
There were even people with triple martial souls!
But for Zhou Sichen, this was his true transmigrator’s gift, because his second martial soul was his own body.
In other words, any part of his body belonged to his second Body Martial Soul.
In this era, besides traditional soul masters, there was a special and powerful type of soul master whose martial souls were called Body Martial Souls.
As the name implied, the martial soul was a part of themselves.
Body martial souls varied in strength.
Generally, the more vital the body part, the stronger the talent, and the greater the chance of becoming a top expert or achieving a second awakening.
But having the entire body as a martial soul was unprecedented in history.
In other words, his Body Martial Soul would be the most powerful on the entire continent.
However, Zhou Sichen had chosen not to cultivate this martial soul first, opting instead for the Book of Contracts.
But because of his Body Martial Soul, his spiritual power far exceeded that of ordinary people.
Not just his spiritual power, but his physical fitness and every other aspect were several times greater than normal.
Through years of compounding cultivation, Zhou Sichen’s strength had long surpassed soul masters of the same level.
Though only rank thirty-seven, his spiritual power was already comparable to a rank fifty Soul King.
With the Ice Jade Scorpion as bait, his powerful spiritual power as the lure, and the timing being extremely close to Huo Yuhao’s arrival, Zhou Sichen refused to believe the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm wouldn’t take the hook.
