Zhou Sichen didn’t know what had just transpired.
He only felt that his body was incredibly comfortable right now, as joyful as if he had been reborn.
Within his spiritual sea, ten golden orbs shining like blazing suns floated in suspension, expanding the boundaries of his spiritual sea slightly.
He quieted his mind and focused inward; the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm was weaving back and forth between the ten orbs.
Its proud voice rang out: “These are the most concentrated essence and spiritual powers I’ve gathered over a million years of cultivation.
Although your physical fitness is very strong, it’s still not enough to withstand this much energy.
So, this energy is sealed in your spiritual sea, and you can draw upon it freely.”
Hearing this, visible ecstasy spread across Zhou Sichen’s face.
This was another huge benefit bestowed upon him by the silkworm.
With this energy—equivalent to a million years of cultivation—his martial soul would experience a terrifying leap in the future.
But there was more.
The silkworm continued, “Although I can’t give you a soul bone, I can condense the prototype of an ice-attribute martial soul for you.
How about that?
Isn’t Brother amazing?
You’ll have three martial souls in the future, making history on the Douluo Continent just like me!”
Hearing about the prototype of a third martial soul, Zhou Sichen’s joy slowly receded, and he fell into deep thought.
Noticing the change in his expression, the silkworm frowned.
“What?
Is the temptation of three martial souls not enough?”
Zhou Sichen shook his head.
“I assume you already know how powerful my two current martial souls are, right?”
The silkworm nodded.
“Your talent is uniquely favored by heaven.
Even I have to marvel at it.
But that doesn’t stop you from having three martial souls!”
Zhou Sichen didn’t beat around the bush.
“Cultivating these two martial souls is enough for me.
Furthermore, the effects of my first martial soul go far beyond what you currently understand.
Although a third martial soul is tempting, I have a better idea.”
The silkworm was baffled.
If making history couldn’t attract him, what could?
It wanted to hear this idea.
“Speak.”
Zhou Sichen said, “The first soul ring of my first martial soul is the Ice Jade Scorpion.
I was wondering if you could infuse the energy meant for the third martial soul prototype into it instead?”
The silkworm’s eyes lit up.
“That’s not impossible, but then you lose the third martial soul.”
Seeing its hesitation, Zhou Sichen shared his memories of using his first martial soul.
After reviewing those memories, the silkworm stared at him blankly.
“N-no way!
Your Book of Contracts actually has this kind of effect?!”
Zhou Sichen smiled.
“So there’s no need to overthink it, right?”
The silkworm nodded.
“If that’s the case, giving your Ice Jade Scorpion Ultimate Ice and purifying its bloodline is indeed a very good choice.”
Without further hesitation, the silkworm manipulated the essence energy and poured it into the first soul ring of the Book of Contracts.
Zhou Sichen’s contracted beasts were slightly different from Spirit Souls because they resided inside the soul rings.
Or rather, they were the soul rings now.
As the aura of Ultimate Ice merged into his first soul ring, the Ice Jade Scorpion beneath him instantly began to chitter wildly.
After becoming a soul ring for the Book of Contracts, the beast hadn’t died; it survived as an independent entity, though it relied entirely on Zhou Sichen!
Through mental communication, Zhou Sichen told the scorpion that this was a fortuitous encounter.
It would push its ice attribute straight to Ultimate Ice, further enhancing its talent and bloodline!
The scorpion chittered excitedly, “Boss!
Boss!
Is this true?!”
Zhou Sichen smiled faintly.
“Naturally.
This is a gift from the ancestor of your ice-attribute soul beast clan.
I’ll properly introduce you two when there’s a chance.”
“Chitter!
Chitter!”
The Ice Jade Scorpion was ecstatic, wholeheartedly accepting the gift from its ancestor and its master.
Its own power began changing at a visible rate.
That was Ultimate Ice!
Although the Ice Jade Scorpion clan could comprehend this power once they reached a hundred thousand years of cultivation, for Ah Da, it was a dream come true now.
The power of an ultimate attribute was absolutely beyond imagination.
Whether for a soul master or a soul beast, mastering an ultimate attribute meant a terrifying leap in strength!
After a long time, Ah Da’s body color became much deeper and more magnificent.
The chilling aura around it was several times stronger than before.
It had successfully mastered the power of Ultimate Ice!
Ah Da: “Chitter!
Chitter!”
Zhou Sichen gently patted its back.
“No need to thank me.
We are one now.
When you become stronger, my strength improves massively as well.”
Ah Da: “Chitter.”
“Let’s go, Ah Da.
Registration for Shrek Academy has already started.
My sister has been waiting for me for three years.
It’s time to go find her.”
Under Zhou Sichen’s command, Ah Da began heading towards the outskirts of the forest, while Zhou Sichen sank back into his spiritual sea.
The Tianmeng Ice Silkworm looked at him proudly.
“How about it?
Isn’t Brother amazing?
For a mere thousand-year Ice Jade Scorpion to possess the power of Ultimate Ice, that counts as making history too!
But I really didn’t expect your Book of Contracts to be so miraculous.
Your contracted beasts can actually grow stronger as your strength increases!
Back then, it was just an Ice Jade Scorpion with over seven hundred years of cultivation, but now it’s approaching the ten-thousand-year mark!”
Zhou Sichen just smiled.
The power of his Book of Contracts was unbelievable even to him.
The soul beasts he contracted didn’t die; instead, they coexisted with him, using the Book of Contracts as the medium.
These contracted beasts could absorb natural energy to recover on their own, and even cultivate independently.
Although their cultivation speed was still that of a soul beast, it stacked with Zhou Sichen’s own cultivation speed.
And the beasts’ own strength increased as Zhou Sichen leveled up.
How to explain it?
The beasts’ cultivation wasn’t just to increase their own strength, but to stack with Zhou Sichen’s.
As Zhou Sichen grew stronger, the contracted beasts naturally grew stronger too.
This was why his Ice Jade Scorpion was now at the thousand-year level.
Originally, his first soul ring was less than eight hundred years old.
But as Zhou Sichen’s strength grew, the scorpion’s strength grew too, changing the ring’s color from yellow to purple.
The color of the soul rings on the Book of Contracts represented both the beasts’ strength and Zhou Sichen’s strength.
And the more beasts he contracted, the faster his cultivation speed would become, and they would all grow stronger together.
Of course, a soul beast’s cultivation speed was very slow, so while there was an increase, it wasn’t massive.
Another way to look at it was that the stacked cultivation speed provided by the beasts perfectly offset the slow cultivation speed typically experienced by Ultimate Martial Soul possessors after rank thirty.
Relying solely on the Book of Contracts, once Zhou Sichen reached rank ninety in the future, he alone would be equivalent to nine Title Douluos.
Because his contracted beasts’ strength rapidly increased alongside his own, as long as they formed a contract with him, they could bypass their original slow cultivation speed and rapidly gain power by following him.
