Lin Mo’s Spirit, which already displayed two spirit rings and seven other hazy spirit rings, completely exceeded Kong Deming’s expectations.
It greatly broadened his horizons and astonished him.
This was the first time he had ever seen a situation where spirit rings could be obtained without hunting Spirit Beasts.
However, upon closer thought, it seemed reasonable, as both methods required external assistance to acquire spirit rings.
A normal Spirit required hunting Spirit Beasts to obtain spirit rings, while Lin Mo’s mysterious second Spirit required absorbing special substances to attempt to activate its spirit rings.
However, what Lin Mo did not tell Kong Deming was that activating the third spirit ring not only required absorbing corresponding elemental heavenly treasures but also required his own cultivation to keep up, at least after reaching two rings, before he could activate the third corresponding elemental spirit ring.
However, the activation order of the spirit rings did not have strict requirements.
For example, the first spirit ring Lin Mo activated was a silver spirit ring representing the spatial element, which was the seventh spirit ring.
The second was a blue spirit ring representing the water element, which was the third spirit ring…
Now, with Lin Mo openly displaying his second Spirit in front of him, and even having the potential to gain Light Power, Kong Deming became even more determined in his idea to first help Lin Mo resolve any troubles that might lead him astray.
He already had a plan: first, invest some resources to help Lin Mo illuminate a Light Power spirit ring.
Once Lin Mo possessed Light Power, unless he himself willed it, it would be impossible for him to walk down an evil path…
Not long after Lin Mo left, Kong Deming also left the room and headed to the Hall of Offerings’ warehouse, which stored various valuable materials.
He was preparing a welcome gift for his newly accepted disciple.
The various materials stored in this warehouse of the Hall of Offerings were incomparable to those found in the warehouse that Huo Yuhao and his companions from his previous Life had snuck into.
The various materials stored here were among the highest grade in the entire Sun Moon Empire.
Even the lesser items among them were materials for making Grade 7 or Grade 8 spirit tools, rarely seen elsewhere.
The vast majority were materials required for making Grade 9 spirit tools.
It was only because he served as the Hall Master of the Hall of Offerings that he could freely withdraw the materials he needed.
Other members of the Hall of Offerings, if they wished to retrieve materials from the warehouse, required layers of approval, which was extremely troublesome.
The item he was preparing for Lin Mo to awaken Light Power was among them.
The finished product, among Grade 9 spirit tools, would also be among the top tier.
If not for the fact that the Sun Moon Empire had not produced any Rank 9 Soul Engineers with pure light-attribute Spirits in recent years, this item would not have been preserved until now.
Even Kong Deming, who possessed the Silver Moon Spirit with some light attributes, was not confident that he could craft it into a spirit tool without damaging its inherent power.
That is why it has been preserved until now.
Otherwise, it would have been consumed long ago, and it would not be Lin Mo’s turn to enjoy this item.
As Kong Deming was about to leave the warehouse, he saw an item covered in dust and emitting a faint green glow in a corner of the warehouse.
After a brief thought, he decided to take it with him…
The next day, Lin Mo, led by Kong Deming, arrived in an empty room.
“Xiao Mo, this item, by rights, is not something you should be able to access right now. However, your second Spirit likely has a very large appetite, and ordinary items would not be enough to satisfy its needs, which is why I took it out. Its value is enough to make it the core of a top-tier light-type Grade 9 spirit tool.”
Kong Deming said, taking out an item from his Storage Soul Guidance Device: a gem emitting a golden light.
The gem exuded a rich Light Power, illuminating the dim room as if it were daytime.
“radiant holy lightstone!” Kong Deming slowly introduced, “The material of this gem is not any kind of mineral, but rather formed by the condensation of the purest light elements. What I just said, that its value is enough to support it becoming the core of a top-tier light-type Grade 9 spirit tool, is not an exaggeration. For some light-attribute Spirit Masters, this can be said to be a priceless treasure. If even it cannot help you awaken Light Power, then the awakening of your Light Power can truly only depend on fate.”
This item was already one of the most top-tier items containing Light Power in the Sun Moon Empire.
If Lin Mo still couldn’t awaken Light Power with this, then Kong Deming wouldn’t have any better solutions.
If this still didn’t work, then he would just have to try to win by sheer quantity.
“Thank you, Teacher,” Lin Mo bowed.
It was not a superficial gesture; his gratitude came from the heart.
“Take it, and do not rashly attempt to absorb the energy within it. The Light Power it normally releases is sufficient for your current level of absorption.”
With Lin Mo’s current strength, rashly attempting to absorb it would lead to nothing but his body exploding.
At least, that was Kong Deming’s understanding.
After receiving the radiant holy lightstone with both hands, with a flash of silver light, the radiant holy lightstone disappeared from Lin Mo’s hands, drawn into his Space Satchel using the ability attached to his spatial spirit ring.
“Is this the ability attached to your spatial spirit ring?” Kong Deming asked, looking very interested.
“That’s right,” Lin Mo nodded.
“I call this ability the Space Satchel. Its effect is similar to a Storage Soul Guidance Device, but it’s not quite the same. I can retrieve items stored in the Space Satchel at any time. Just like this radiant holy lightstone, even if I place it in the Space Satchel, I can still absorb the Light Power it releases. There’s no need to carry it close to my body, which also avoids some extra trouble.”
“That’s quite convenient,” Kong Deming marveled.
“My original plan was for this room to be the place where you absorb the radiant holy lightstone’s energy, to prevent you from carrying it around and being targeted by malicious individuals.”
Lin Mo having such an ability saved a lot of trouble.
His original plan was for Lin Mo to absorb the radiant holy lightstone’s energy here.
After all, Lin Mo’s current strength was still too low.
An innocent man is guilty only for possessing a treasure.
If Lin Mo, carrying such a valuable treasure, were targeted by people with ulterior motives, he would be in great danger.
“Catch!” Kong Deming said, throwing two items towards Lin Mo.
After Lin Mo somewhat clumsily caught them, he realized what the two items Kong Deming had thrown were: one was a bracelet-style Storage Soul Guidance Device.
The other was something like a cyan crystal.
The moment he took it, Lin Mo felt a surging Life force rushing into his body.
Seeing Lin Mo receive the two items, Kong Deming then slowly said, “The Storage Soul Guidance Device, remember to wear it at all times. Next time you use your Space Satchel ability, you can use this to create some cover, so you don’t expose your ability in front of others.”
At this point, Kong Deming paused, his gaze fixed on Lin Mo with a somewhat complex expression.
