I HATE the Pot-heads.

Well, not the chief Pot-head. My boyfriend is sooo cute! But his friends? Ugh! Especially that stupid Mudblood.

Who does she think she is, laughing at his jokes and touching him and stuff?!Full novel: Draconia Malfoid: and the Hollow King / Malfoid x Harry Potter — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He’s mine!

I hate her! I HATE HER!

It’s like, just get a boyfriend already and leave mine alone!

So, dear reader, you’re probably wondering what triggered me.

Well, it was breakfast on the last day of Christmas break. Following Dumbledore’s helpful suggestion, the Pot-heads had been having every meal with me.

I didn’t mind. I liked sitting beside my boyfriend, and it gave us a chance to hold hands under the table.

Except today, the idiot Weasley sat beside me.

Like… hello! That’s Harry’s place!

Harry entered with Hermione, chatting with her and giving Ron’s arm a smack as he passed. He did a double take when he saw me sitting beside Ron.

I nodded towards the empty space on my other side.

He approached, but the stupid Mudblood had the gall to grip his arm.

“Hey, sit with me. You boys can’t crowd her,” Hermione said.

“Yeah, right.” He chuckled nervously.

Then the stupid Mudblood sat opposite me.

I stared at the table, trying desperately to bite back my rising annoyance as they chatted.

Harry totally noticed.

I gave him a fake smile.

I definitely noticed!!!

The stupid Pot-head minions…

Hmmmm…

Pot-minions!

Yep, dictionary updated. Hermione and Ron are now officially downgraded to Pot-minions, and only my Harry gets to be called Pot-head.

Wait…

If we got married, would I become…

Eeeeehhhhhhhhh!

I CAN’T THINK ABOUT THAT!

I covered my face as I stood beside Harry at the train station. We stood at the back of the crowd, holding hands.

“You all right?” He smirked.

“Yep!” I nodded.

My face felt so hot I was practically steaming.

A train horn sounded, and we watched as the Hogwarts Express approached, releasing plumes of smoke. Soon, it slowed with a screech and came to a stop. The doors slid open, and students began to disembark.

I squeezed Harry’s hand tightly once, then we released each other.

I fluffed my hair, raised my nose, and transformed into the Princess of Slytherin.

“Princess!” Victetta exclaimed.

The giant girl practically ploughed through the crowd and embraced me, lifting me several inches off the ground.

“All right, enough.” I smacked her arm.

No sooner had she put me down than Georgia threw herself at me.

“I was sooo scared you wouldn’t wake up!” Georgia burst into tears.

“Thanks. Oh, and sorry I didn’t tell you until after New Year’s. I felt like total crap for ages!” I lied.

“I’ll never forgive you!” Georgia growled, though she couldn’t stop a smile from tugging at the corners of her lips.

“I’m just so happy you’re awake.” Victetta slapped my back.

Georgia blew her nose and tried to stop crying, but utterly failed.

Worse, others began approaching.

“Miss Crabbe, some decorum!” I told Victetta.

“Yes, sorry!” Victetta straightened.

“Georgia Goyle.” I turned to my best friend.

“Yeah.” Georgia wiped her tears on her sleeves, sniffed, and took her place at my right side.

The others from Slytherin House arrived, and soon the whole thing became a huge event. Everyone was eager to talk to me.

I listened in silence as I led the girls of my house back to our dormitories. I remained poised, of course, with my head held high.

Days later, one of our teachers came down with the flu, giving us a free period.

I walked with Harry down the corridor, glancing around to make sure we wouldn’t get caught.

“No one will see us.” He held out his map.

“There’s no harm in being cautious.” I looked over my shoulder.

“The Marauder’s Map shows everyone’s location in the school, and no one’s around here.” He showed me the map.

I examined our location. Tiny footprints appeared beside our names, and there was nobody else nearby.

“Hmmm… give me that.” I snatched it.

Then I ran away from him.

My marker drifted away from his on the map. I glanced down as I rounded a corner, and sure enough, my footsteps followed.

“Where are you going?” he called.

I ran around another corner, laughing as my little footprints raced towards him.

Then I jumped on him, placing my feet on top of his as I examined the map.

“Now walk, Potter! WALK!” I pointed down the passage.

He smirked, then chuckled. He walked while I clung to him, and I watched our overlapping names move across the map.

Somehow, seeing them like that made me ridiculously happy.

We entered the Room of Requirement hand in hand.

Today, it resembled a café, with windows along the walls overlooking a brick wall.

Yep. Whatever.

It provided the perfect place for our date over the next hour.

“They have coffee,” he said from behind the counter.

“Of course. It’s an enchanted room.” I shrugged.

I sat at a table while he fiddled with the coffee machine. I twirled a finger through my hair as I examined the map.

Grey footprints, outlined with dotted lines, moved through the walls.

I cocked my head and leaned closer to read a name.

“Nearly Headless Nick?” I said.

The ghost passed through the outer wall, drifted across the map, and disappeared beyond its edge.

I spotted another ghost.

Then another.

Ghosts were fleeing the school grounds.

A chill ran down my spine.

“Ahhhhh!” Harry roared.

“Are you all right?” I jumped to my feet.

He groaned and fell to the floor.

“Did you get burned?” I ran over.

He lay there, clutching his scar.

“Harry! HARRY!” I shook him.

His face twisted, and he gripped my arm. He felt cold, and he squeezed me so hard I thought he might break my arm.

It lasted about a minute, but when he finally relaxed, my heart was hammering like crazy.

I thought he was going to die or something!

“I’m all right.” He patted my arm.

I helped him up and guided him to a couch.

“What happened?” I asked.

“I’ve been getting these visions,” Harry said.

“Him?” I asked.

“Yes, Voldem—”

I clamped a hand over his mouth.

“Please, for me, just don’t say his name.” I shook my head.

He nodded, and I released him.

“Since the Tournament, I’ve felt a connection to him.” Harry tapped his scar.

“Oh…”

“Yes, and sometimes I’ve seen through his eyes. It happened once while I was asleep. I saw Mr Weasley being attacked. I freaked out and called Sirius. He assured me they’d check on it, and afterwards he said they’d repelled Nagini, but…”

“Nagini?”

“His snake.”

“Oh…” I nodded.

“Anyway, I found out Mr Weasley lost a leg.”

“WHAT! They couldn’t regrow it?”

“It was magical poison. It was either the leg or his life, so naturally they chose the leg. I guess that’s why I’ve been so annoyed. I should have gone this Christmas. I’m such a bad friend.” He pinched the bridge of his nose.

“You’re not.” I squeezed his hand.

“So, I just saw him in a fight with the Hollow King. He’s furious. That ghost is on the loose, doing who-knows-what, and the Dark Lord is desperately trying to bind him. I sensed desire from him, too. I can’t explain it, but the Dark Lord seemed convinced he was close to defeating the Hollow King and taking the Harrowing Hollow for himself.”

“I’m sure that won’t happen. You know what? Call your friends. Let the Order know.” I kissed his cheek and stood.

I headed for the door.

“Where are you going?” he called.

“I’ll be in the library. Call your friends, or the Order, or whoever you need to tell about this. You go do your Harry Potter thing, and when you’re done, come see me.” I smiled.

“Yeah, I will.” He nodded.

I blew him a kiss and walked away with a sway in my hips.

Now, dear reader, you can see why I’m so angry with the Mudblood.

Yep! The beginning of the chapter is explained at the end.

So, it was a Saturday, and I’d put on makeup for our date. A month had passed, and I looked very cute in a jacket with black-and-white stripes, a black shirt, and a black-and-white pleated skirt.

I loved the clink-clank of my high heels as I walked, and my hair bobbed with every step.

Boys stared as I passed.

Hah! As if I’d pay them any attention.

Girls’ faces lit up. Many chattered eagerly in my wake. I was sure the local tailor would be swamped with requests for my style by the end of the week.

Hah. That’s just who I am. Draconia Malfoid, trendsetter and fashionista.

Oooops. Got totally distracted by my own hotness.

What? Don’t judge me, reader, guy or gal. Remember, I have a hex with your name on it. Enjoying the story? Read on at novelping.com.

So don’t test me.

Ah, where was I?

Right! I emerged onto the stone bridge near the Tapestry Corridor. You know the one.

Anyway, there I was, walking down the corridor, when I found Hermione “Mudblood” Granger with her arms wrapped around Harry.

“Just what’s going on here?” I folded my arms and narrowed my eyes.

The two parted, and Harry did a double take when he saw me.

Hermione stood up and wiped tears from her eyes.

At first, I thought she’d been crying, until I noticed the smile tugging at her lips.

“Lover’s rendezvous at the bridge, hah? Two Pot-heads getting together, hah? Perhaps we’ll make you one big Pot-head family.” I tapped my foot.

“Just what’s your problem? I laughed so hard I fell, and he caught me. Not that it’s any of your concern,” Hermione said.

Harry gripped his arm.

“Hermio…” He stopped.

“No! You know what? I’ve had it with this wench! So stuck-up! Always looking down on everyone else!” Hermione pointed at me.

“It’s easy to look down on people who were born in the gutter. Muggle-blood.” I scoffed.

“How dare you! You know what? I’m proud to be Muggle-blood. Got that? Call me Mudblood, go on! GO ON!” Hermione growled.

Harry had to hold her back.

I regarded her for a long moment, then smirked.

The girl was putty in my hands. A few barbed words, and she’d lose her composure completely.

Served her right for touching my boyfriend.

“Tell me, what deodorant do you use? Because it isn’t working.” I pinched my nose and fanned the air.

“What?” they both asked.

“Because it’s barely covering up the stench of Muggle trash in your veins…” I stopped when she leapt at me with a scream.

She slapped me, and my head snapped to the side.

A smile tugged at the corner of my lips.

I had to hide it.

I frowned, let my eyes water, and sniffed.

“S-see? Only Muggles resort to fisticuffs.” I stuck out my bottom lip.

“I’ll show you fisticuffs!” She lunged at me again, but Harry held her back.

“It’s all right. She didn’t mean it,” he urged.

“Oh, I meant it.” I smirked.

Hermione howled, kicked, and punched while Harry wrapped an arm around her.

He narrowed his eyes at me, and I instantly switched back to pouty-girlfriend mode. I clasped my cheek and looked away with a frown.

He escorted her away, and I tried not to laugh.

That girl had always been so much fun to rile up. A barb here, a jab there, and she lost all composure.

I stood by the windowless archway, the wind tugging at my hair as I watched the scenery.

Harry approached, looking furious.

“Why do you have to do that?” he growled in a hushed voice.

A few students passed this way, but we’d become quite used to whispering while keeping our expressions neutral.

Right now, he looked as though he wanted to hit me.

Realisation struck.

Oh no. Had I screwed this up?

What to do?

Hmmm. Yeah, that would work.

“I’m jealous.” I tugged his sleeve.

“What?” He looked confused, and immediately his anger began to fade.

Yes! I knew the truth would work.

Now I just had to play this delicately.

I pouted and glanced away.

“I get jealous. There, I admit it, all right? I see a girl touching you, and I lose it.” I shrugged.

“She’s just a friend.” He put his hands on his hips.

Oh no. He looked mad again.

Defuse! DEFUSE!

“Sorry. There, I said it. But, you know… a girl spends most of her time with a boy, and people are going to talk. Heck, I’ve heard the girls asking, ‘When’s he going to ask her out?’ or ‘Will they just kiss already?’ And it really hurts me.” I tapped my chest and pouted.

He visibly relaxed.

Got him!

“I guess I could say I’m sorry.” I touched my cheek.

Trump card.

He had no choice now.

One, two, three…

“No… no, it’s all right. No need to do that.” He nodded.

Hell yeah! I was great at this girlfriend thing!

Score me!

“Well, aren’t you going to kiss it better?” I tapped my cheek.

He rolled his eyes, checked around us, then leaned forward and kissed my cheek.

“Great! Now let’s get out of here. I want to go on our date already.” I tugged his collar.
