The wilderness, beside Raditz’s spaceship.

“Waaaah!” Gohan, kidnapped by Raditz, wailed inconsolably.

Raditz snapped impatiently, “You’re too loud. I’m going to find something to eat—get in there for now!”Full novel: Dragon Ball: But I Get Stronger by Taking Girls to Bed — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

With that, he tossed Gohan into the spaceship.

The ship’s soundproofing was excellent, and the air went quiet almost instantly.

Raditz brushed the dust off his palms and glanced around.

“Let’s see what’s edible nearby. I’ll hunt something down for breakfast.”

“Beep, beep, beep…” The Scouter began to chirp.

Raditz turned to follow the signal.

“One’s at 412, another at 406… and there’s a third one behind them at 331.”

“One of them feels just like Kakarot. The other must be that green-skinned guy from before.”

“As for the last one… his Power Level is only 331.”

“Hmph. A Saiyan with a lower Power Level than that green bastard? What an embarrassment to our race!”

“If he’s not here to join us, I might as well just kill them all…”

In the blink of an eye, Goku and Piccolo arrived before Raditz.

Raditz smiled faintly.

“That was fast. Are you here to join us?”

Son Goku growled, “Don’t be ridiculous. I’m not joining you—I’m here to get my son back!”

Raditz sneered.

“So you’re refusing to join your brother’s side, Kakarot?”

“I’m an Earthling—Son Goku. I don’t have a brother!” Goku refused to acknowledge the tie.

A flicker of anger crossed Raditz’s face.

“Kakarot, you idiot! Your brother traveled all this way, sparing no effort, to invite you to make your fortune with me, to share in the good life. And not only do you refuse to appreciate it, you go and think of yourself as some lowly Earthling, teaming up with outsiders against me. You’re really pissing me off!”

Son Goku said again, “I told you—don’t call me Kakarot. I’m Son Goku of Earth, and you’re not my brother! If you know what’s good for you, let my son go and get out of here. Otherwise, I won’t hold back!”

With that, Goku dropped into a fighting stance first.

Raditz crossed his arms, sweeping a glance over Piccolo before turning back to Goku.

“Hmph. Kakarot, you don’t actually think teaming up with this guy is enough to beat me, do you?”

Goku nodded, settling into his own stance.

“Whether I can beat you or not, I’d like to find out. And if it doesn’t work…”

He glanced back over his shoulder and continued, “Someone else will beat you anyway!”

Raditz scoffed.

“Tch. A couple of rookies like you think you can beat me? You have no idea what you’re up against!”

Son Goku rolled his shoulders.

“Victory and defeat aren’t decided by strength alone. I’ve got a plan.”

Raditz said disdainfully, “In the face of real power, no plan means a damn thing!”

Goku and Piccolo charged in almost simultaneously.

Raditz snarled, “A disgrace to us Saiyans—die!”

Rather than retreat, Raditz pressed forward to meet their attack head-on.

Goku threw a punch, but Raditz dodged it with ease and countered with a kick to his chest, sending Goku flying backward with a pained grunt.

At the same moment, Piccolo swept a kick at Raditz.

Wearing a look of mockery and arrogance, Raditz leaned back slightly to dodge it, then drove an elbow into Piccolo’s groin.

Piccolo let out a pained grunt and was sent flying a long distance.

Goku and Piccolo were, after all, top-tier fighters on Earth—even sent flying, both recovered themselves in midair.

Each rolled through the impact and landed steadily.

Goku marveled, “This guy’s fast—incredibly fast!”

Piccolo wiped the sweat from his brow.

“Damn it, I couldn’t even track his movement. Is the gap between us really still this wide?”

Watching their terrified expressions, Raditz’s face twisted with arrogant pride.

“What’s wrong? Where did all that confidence go, my little brothers? Oh right, let me give you one more piece of good news before you die. The other two Saiyans still alive have Power Levels even higher than mine.”

Goku and Piccolo blanched again in shock.

“What? Higher than yours?”

Raditz roared with laughter.

“Hahaha! Realizing how terrifying Saiyans are now? It’s already too late!”

Goku and Piccolo exchanged a glance, then charged at Raditz again.

“Haaah!”

Their fists blurred like machine-gun fire, raining down on Raditz in a frenzy.

“Rat-a-tat-tat…”

Arrogant as Raditz was, the crushing gap in Power Level let him handle both of them with total ease.

His hands moved in a constant blur, blocking every single punch from Piccolo and Goku without leaving a single gap.

“Is this all the strength you’ve got?”

“Hmph!”

Raditz had been on the defensive at first, wanting to gauge the pair’s strength.

But their strength left him utterly disappointed.

With a cold snort, he suddenly counterattacked.

His two fists landed on Piccolo’s and Goku’s faces in quick succession.

Goku and Piccolo went flying backward once more.

Their speed was ferocious.

But to Raditz, it looked like slow motion.

This time Raditz switched tactics slightly.

As Goku’s and Piccolo’s punches came in, he caught each of their wrists—one in each hand—and hurled them backward.

Guided by Raditz’s throw, Goku and Piccolo ended up flung away by the force of their own momentum.

It wasn’t over yet.

Raditz pointed one hand at each of them.

Two Ki Blasts shot out, one toward each fighter.

“Damn it!”

In a panic, Goku twisted his body aside, and the blast grazed past him by the narrowest of margins.

It slammed into the ground and exploded instantly, kicking up a churning cloud of dust.

Piccolo fared far worse—while Raditz had aimed at the edge of Goku’s body, he’d aimed straight for Piccolo’s heart.

Despite his desperate dodge, the blast still clipped his arm, shattering it instantly.

By the time Piccolo landed, blood was gushing from the stump of his arm, a gruesome sight.

“Piccolo!”

Goku had barely voiced his concern when Raditz appeared right behind him.

“You idiot brother, worrying about someone else at a time like this!”

“Thud!”

Raditz’s kick sent Son Goku flying, and he crashed face-down onto the ground.

Toward his brother, Raditz had, at least, held back somewhat.

Raditz looked at the two of them and shook his head slightly.

“You two… you’ll never amount to anything.”

Goku got back to his feet, gasping heavily for breath.

“Piccolo, are you all right?”

Piccolo clutched his broken arm, panting.

“Don’t worry. I lost an arm, but I can still fight… By the way, Son Goku, after all these years, haven’t you come up with any new moves at all?”

Goku laughed awkwardly.

“Sorry, ever since I got married I haven’t had much time to train, so I don’t really have any new moves.”

Hearing that Goku hadn’t made much progress over the years, a smug look crept across Piccolo’s face.

“Then you really have been slacking. To beat you, I went and developed a new secret technique…”

“What technique?”

“In any case, as long as it hits him, it’s guaranteed to kill him.”

Goku’s interest was piqued instantly.

“Then let me back you up!”
