“Wait a moment.” Rez waved his hand and then called out to Raditz, who was not far away, “Raditz, bring me a strip of cloth.”
“A strip of cloth?
What do you mean?” Raditz was stunned, feeling completely confused, and scratched his head in bewilderment.
“I need one that is opaque, preferably a black strip of cloth,” Rez added, his tone completely serious.
Raditz stood there frozen, unable to process what was happening, as he simply could not understand what Rez wanted the cloth for.
“Why aren’t you going yet?
What are you spacing out for?” Vegeta snapped irritably, glaring fiercely at Raditz with crossed arms.
“Yes…
Prince Vegeta!” Raditz nodded hurriedly, scratched his head again, and muttered to himself, “Where am I supposed to find a strip of cloth?”
Despite saying that, Raditz turned around quickly and ran off to find the requested fabric.
He jogged all the way, rummaging through the standard-issue spaceship, and finally found a roll of clean black fabric in the storage room.
He tore off a long strip, checked it carefully against the light to make sure it was entirely opaque, and then nodded with satisfaction.
In less than a minute, Raditz arrived back in the high-gravity training room with the clean black strip of cloth and handed it to Rez with both hands.
“Rez, here is the cloth strip you wanted,” Raditz said, looking at him with intense curiosity.
Rez took the cloth, examined it carefully, and after confirming it was perfectly opaque, calmly wrapped it around his eyes.
The black cloth covered his eyes completely, leaving not a single gap for him to see through.
Opposite him, Vegeta widened his eyes, showing a distinct hint of surprise, and then his brows furrowed tightly together.
“What…
what do you mean by this?” Vegeta gritted his teeth and asked angrily, his small royal face turning bright red with rage.
You had Raditz get a cloth strip just to cover your eyes right before our match?
Who exactly are you looking down on?
Raditz’s mouth twitched, and he stood to the side, entirely at a loss for words.
He never dreamed that the cloth strip he had just handed over would be used for this kind of purpose.
Nappa and the other Saiyans were even more speechless, all of them completely dumbfounded, looking at each other and seeing pure disbelief in each other’s eyes.
What is Rez trying to do?
Fighting Prince Vegeta while completely blindfolded?
Your combat power is still far behind Prince Vegeta’s standard level!
It’s at least a massive difference of 5,000!
You can’t even beat Prince Vegeta with your eyes wide open, and you think you can win with them completely closed?
I really don’t know what he is thinking!
“I just learned a new skill and plan to try it out!” Rez said to Vegeta with a calm smile.
“Hmph, don’t blame me for being too heavy-handed when you get hurt later!” Vegeta snorted coldly, crossed his arms tightly, and lifted his chin even higher.
“Come on!” Rez smiled confidently and waved his hand invitingly at Vegeta.
“Asking for trouble!” Vegeta snorted coldly, kicked off the ground with immense force, and his entire body turned into an instantaneous afterimage, rushing rapidly toward where Rez was standing.
Rez also instantly entered a state of pure no-mind and unleashed the profound state of Ultra Instinct.
Although Rez couldn’t see anything at all, every single part of his body could clearly perceive Vegeta’s every move through absolute instinct.
The feeling was incredibly strange yet profoundly clear.
Without using his eyes to see, he could clearly feel Vegeta’s presence in the space around him.
His exact position, his speed, his attack trajectory, and even his breathing and heartbeat were like a flawless three-dimensional image, clearly presented in Rez’s perception.
Vegeta didn’t hold back at all, throwing a heavy, powerful punch straight at Rez.
The fierce fist wind whistled through the air, aiming straight for Rez’s face with brutal intent.
Rez just slightly tilted his body, like a willow branch swaying gently in the wind, and nimbly dodged Vegeta’s attack without effort.
That heavy punch grazed his ear, not even touching a single strand of his hair.
Vegeta was slightly stunned, looking at Rez with deep surprise, a sudden flash of confusion passing through his eyes.
The next moment, Vegeta snorted coldly and rushed toward Rez again, his small figure leaving a trail of afterimages in the air as he unleashed a furious flurry of punches and kicks.
Fists and kicks flew through the training room, the offensive pouring down like a torrential storm of raw violence.
Rez, through his ingenious skill, dodged back and forth with fluid grace to avoid Vegeta’s rapid attacks.
His body seemed to have a mind of its own, always able to make the most appropriate reaction at the exact critical moment.
Leaning a fraction to the left to dodge a straight punch, tilting back an inch to avoid a high kick, and slightly turning to let a brutal elbow strike pass right by.
Every single movement was just right, not a fraction more, not a fraction less.
Three minutes later.
“Huff, huff, huff…”
Vegeta was panting heavily, fine beads of sweat seeping from his royal forehead, his face entirely full of profound shock.
He stopped his relentless attacking, supporting himself with his hands resting heavily on his knees, staring at Rez in pure disbelief.
“What is going on?
Why can’t I hit him at all?” Vegeta clenched his fists tightly, his body trembling violently as he felt waves of immense frustration.
A total of 15,000 combat power, a whole 5,000 higher than his opponent, and I can’t even touch him a single time?
How is this even possible!
Raditz, Nappa, and the others were all completely stunned, staring blankly at Rez, opening their mouths wide but unable to utter a single word.
And Rez was completely blindfolded at that!
What kind of magical skill is this!
And his incredible dodging technique is simply too ingenious to comprehend!
It’s as if he grew a pair of eyes right on the back of his head!
“Continue!” Rez’s face was full of smiles, and he waved at Vegeta once again, his tone completely relaxed and at ease.
“Damn it!” Vegeta was absolutely furious, gnashing his teeth in pure anger.
“Boom!”
This time, Vegeta raised his energy to its absolute maximum level.
A pale blue Ki aura rose violently around him, his momentum suddenly climbed to its peak, and the heavy alloy floor beneath his feet vibrated with a loud humming sound.
“Whoosh!”
Vegeta rushed up again, far faster than before, his offensive fiercer than ever, unleashing an overwhelming barrage of punches and kicks at Rez.
Rez didn’t engage Vegeta head-on either, just nimbly dodging through the flawless autonomous movement technique of Ultra Instinct.
His body was like a light feather, swaying effortlessly in the gale, yet always able to avoid every single impact.
Another three minutes passed by in a flash.
Vegeta still hadn’t hit Rez a single time, instead tiring himself out until he was panting heavily, sweat sliding down his cheeks and dripping onto the alloy floor.
Raditz and the other onlookers were all completely dumbfounded, their eyes wide open, their mouths agape enough to easily fit a fist inside.
Prince Vegeta raised all of his incredible energy.
And yet he still can’t hit Rez even once?
How on earth did Rez manage to do it?
Vegeta gritted his teeth in sheer frustration and hurriedly pressed the scouter he was wearing on his left eye to check Rez’s current combat power.
“Beep beep!”
The electronic scouter quickly processed the Ki and displayed Rez’s combat power value.
“Combat Power: 10,000!”
“How is this possible?” Vegeta, utterly refusing to believe it, slapped the scouter hard with his palm, thinking the device was malfunctioning.
My combat power is a proud 15,000!
I am clearly 5,000 higher in total combat power than Rez!
With so much more raw combat power, both in terms of speed and strength, I far surpass Rez in every metric!
Why on earth can’t I hit him?
Vegeta felt like he was entirely doubting his own existence; the intense frustration made him almost go completely mad.
