Seeing King Kai huffing angrily, Goku scratched the back of his head and laughed awkwardly.
“Sorry, sorry, King Kai!
I didn’t mean to.
Hehe.
I just wanted to ask you to help me figure out whose ki suddenly surged.
Could you take a look for me?”
As he spoke, he casually stepped closer while still carrying the massive weights.
King Kai’s face immediately changed, “Stop!
Stop right there!”
He hurriedly backed away.
“Stay exactly where you are!”
Only after Goku stopped did King Kai let out a sigh of relief.
“Don’t you realize how heavy those things are?
If you accidentally drop them on me, are you trying to crush me?”
King Kai genuinely liked Goku because of his pure heart.
What he couldn’t stand was Goku’s reckless personality.
Whenever something happened, Goku focused only on solving the immediate problem without thinking about the consequences.
That carefree attitude was one of the reasons King Kai now had a halo over his own head.
“Sorry, sorry!” Goku apologized instinctively.
Then, without thinking, he added seriously, “But, King Kai, you’re already dead.
Even if they hit you, it shouldn’t matter…
right?”
King Kai nearly exploded.
“Gokuuu!
What kind of thing is that to say?!
Do you even remember how I died, you brat?!
I’m going to lose my mind!”
Realizing he had said the wrong thing again, Goku hurriedly apologized.
“Sorry!
I’m really sorry!
King Kai, I’ll ask Shenron to revive all of you someday.
But first, could you check whether this ki belongs to a Super Saiyan?
It feels a lot like a Super Saiyan’s ki, but it’s completely unfamiliar.”
The moment Goku mentioned reviving him, King Kai’s anger subsided considerably.
Even so, he replied with the bitterness of someone who had heard the same promise far too many times.
“I’ve heard you say that several times already.
And yet this halo is still sitting on my head.
Do you even remember making that promise?
Honestly…”
“Next time for sure!
I promise!” Goku said with a sheepish grin.
King Kai could only sigh.
After all, Goku was still his proudest student.
The disciple he had accepted was one he had to stick with, no matter how exasperating he could be.
Although he wasn’t entirely convinced Goku would actually remember, he still muttered,
“You’d better remember what you just said.”
After calming himself down, King Kai focused on the mysterious Super Saiyan’s ki.
The antennae on his head twitched slightly.
Almost immediately, he had his answer.
“Goku, do you remember sensing four unfamiliar ki signatures appearing on Earth a little over a month ago?”
Goku blinked.
He thought about it for a moment before shaking his head.
“I don’t remember sensing anything.
Maybe…
I was too focused on training.”
King Kai was speechless.
That sounded exactly like Goku.
Whenever he immersed himself in training, he ignored everything else.
“Your instincts were correct,” King Kai said.
“The person whose ki surged is indeed a Super Saiyan.
And he’s one of the four people who arrived on Earth a little over a month ago.”
Goku’s eyes lit up, “So it really is a Super Saiyan?
But I remember Vegeta telling me there were only two pure Saiyans left who could become Super Saiyans.
Him and me.
Did Vegeta lie to me?”
He immediately waved the thought away.
“Forget it.
That’s not important.
If he’s a Super Saiyan too, then he must be really strong.
I’d love to fight him someday!”
Then another thought suddenly occurred to him.
His eyes widened with excitement.
“King Kai!
Did this Super Saiyan just transform?”
King Kai nodded calmly, “That’s right.
He’s currently in his Super Saiyan form.”
“It really is!” Goku became even more excited.
“You said he only arrived on Earth a little over a month ago.
Doesn’t that mean he became a Super Saiyan after only a little more than a month?
That’s incredible!
His growth rate is even more amazing than Gohan’s.
It’s just a shame he only recently learned the transformation.
Otherwise, I’d want to go back and spar with him right now.”
King Kai sighed again.
Super Saiyans truly were battle maniacs.
He had secretly hoped Goku would decide to return to Earth after hearing the news.
That would at least reduce the amount of food disappearing from his pantry.
Ever since Goku had begun training on King Kai’s Planet, the Saiyan had practically eaten him into poverty.
After composing himself, King Kai continued.
“Goku, there are actually two Super Saiyans on Earth right now.
And Vegeta knows both of them.”
Goku blinked, “Vegeta knows them?
That guy actually lied to me.”
King Kai nodded, “Not only does Vegeta know them, but one of those Super Saiyans is his younger brother.”
Goku’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
“Vegeta has a younger brother?!”

Meanwhile, back on Earth…
At Kami’s Lookout, Vegeta looked at Tarble, who was surrounded by a brilliant golden aura.
A satisfied smile appeared on his face as he applauded.
Clap!
Clap!
Just as he was about to speak, he suddenly sneezed.
“Achoo!”
Vegeta frowned, “What’s that about?
Did I catch a cold?
Impossible.”
He only wondered about it for a moment before dismissing the thought.
Right now, nothing was more important than Tarble successfully becoming a Super Saiyan with such incredible ease.
“Tarble, congratulations on becoming a Super Saiyan.
Your talent is even greater than I imagined.
Excellent.”
For one of the few times in his life, a genuine smile appeared on Vegeta’s normally cold face.
At last…
The royal Saiyan bloodline finally had someone who could surpass an ordinary Super Saiyan.
Kakarot…
I may never surpass you myself.
But my younger brother Tarble definitely will.
Without question.
Trunks was equally excited.
“Uncle Tarble, you’re amazing!
You actually transformed on your very first try, just like Goten and me!
Before this, Dad even told me becoming a Super Saiyan was really difficult.”
The first part of Trunks’ praise made Vegeta smile proudly.
The last sentence instantly erased that smile.
Vegeta opened his mouth, intending to defend himself.
He hadn’t lied.
For most Saiyans, becoming a Super Saiyan really was incredibly difficult.
But after remembering that Tarble had transformed on his very first attempt, he quietly swallowed his explanation.
Forget it.
Let him misunderstand.
I’m too lazy to explain.
Licks is next.
Once he tries becoming a Super Saiyan, we’ll find out whether it’s actually easy or not.
Vegeta refused to believe Licks was another once-in-a-lifetime genius like Tarble.
