“How long until they arrive?” Zukishi asked.
Sala looked at the screen, with a massive map and red points approaching.
“They are coming in waves.
Some belong to Frieza’s army, others from the Saiyans, and more… they will take around a week.
Maybe less, maybe more,” she said, biting her bottom lip.
“It’ll be fun playing with them.”
Zukishi rubbed his forehead.
King Vegeta, besides sending Saiyans after him, had issued a bounty on his head.
That man was seriously afraid of going one-on-one against Zukishi.
It’s not like Zukishi was seriously going to attack him right here and now, not until he found a way to surpass Frieza.
Around them was a technician Cerealian.
“There are indeed Frieza’s army people heading here,” said the Cerealian, biting his bottom lip while looking at the Saiyans in front of them.
He was someone who learned martial arts from the Cerealians and could channel his Ki and sense it.
Without looking, he could tell that this woman alone was enough to whip them all.
The huge male was slightly stronger.
As for the one in the middle, he was overwhelmingly stronger than both of them combined.
“Well, let’s hope they don’t reach here on a full moon day,” replied Zukishi, “Though, I don’t think it matters.”
The Cerealian was a tall man and one of the strongest ones around.
He was Oato, and he was tasked to show him around.
Although Oato offered Zukishi to stay in his house, the latter refused and said that his spaceship had everything he needed.
“If that’s the case, why not simply destroy the moon?” Replied Oato.
“The Saiyan pod has a spatial device that creates a projection of the moon.
Of course, they wouldn’t use it when there is a full moon already.
It’s better to wait for them to transform first.
Otherwise, they will simply create many projections, and it would be hard to destroy them all,” replied Zukishi.
He had thought about using the same strategy before.
But it was a quite useless one.
“I see,” replied Oato, lowering his head.
“Don’t worry,” Sala said proudly, holding Zukishi’s arm.
“Zuki here is the strongest Saiyan alive.
If he said he’ll take care of it, he’ll take care of it.”
Zukishi rubbed his nose, feeling slightly proud to be praised like that by his woman… or wife?
He didn’t know since he came from a society way different than Earth’s.
Usually, among the lower class, they simply got paired, and it was rare to develop even emotions among each other, like Maro had found a woman he loved, and he even had a family.
Of course, the story changes when a female submits herself to a stronger one, as it was an instinct in them.
But that instinct was regulated by the rules ever since their society became obsessed with the warrior rank.
Well, there was obviously some fooling around.
“If it’s him, I believe it,” nodded the Cerealian.
“So, when does your training with the elder start?”
Zukishi had stated what he wanted from the elder.
More power.
But the Namekian said although he’s from a Dragon Clan, he was not advanced enough in magic to know how to unlock someone’s potentials and wondered where he heard that.
So, Zukishi asked him for help in increasing his power and teaching him a couple of things.
One of them was Ki control and Ki sensing.
“It’s going to be this evening…” he replied.
“We have around a week, but it’s not necessarily a week.
So, I’ll be training intensely for three days.
Will you guys join?”
Maro crossed his arms and turned his head.
In Zukishi’s terms, training for them included getting their asses beaten to a degree that they would reach the life and death line.
Sala smiled, “Only if you promise to be gentle.”
“That’s it!
With Namekian around… It would be easy,” he replied.
Although training with Zenkai boosts had diminishing returns over time, it was the fastest way to increase their power in the short term.
With the Namekians around, their chance of surviving until they got healed was higher.
Of course, Zukishi wouldn’t train with the Great Apes.
He had an idea of his own.
But that would be left after learning more about Ki.
After counting how many alien ships were heading to Cereal planet, everyone went to do their thing.
Zukishi spent time meditating in his room, focusing on nothing but trying to sense Ki waves around.
-x-X-x-
After a round of training, Zukishi went to a Namekian village.
He came to learn more about this planet.
Unlike most civilizations, they draw water from the air as they didn’t have oceans or seas.
Or they search in the ground.
There was a reason why they weren’t very numerous.
As for the Namekians, there was only a village.
Zukishi was in that village, sitting on his butt, legs crossed.
The Namekian elder, Monaito, was above him, observing.
“Ki, the energy of all living.
Now that you can sense it instead of releasing it unconsciously.
There are two ways to hide it.
First, which is technically impossible, is by controlling it to perfection.
Second, is by not releasing much.
Now, to do so, you need to locate the Ki source in your body.
Imagine it as a light that is slowly fading.”
Guided by the elder’s voice, Zukishi followed the orders.
He imagined his Ki being spread from his lower abdomen as a light candle that was slowly getting smaller.
As a result, his body got less of it.
Monaito, who was observing, smiled.
“You are very talented, young man,” he said.
“Most warrior races are born with the ability to channel their power, but can’t control it.
You’ve learned it very quickly.
I’m impressed.”
“It would come in handy,” Zukishi nodded.
Though, unlike Goku or Krillin in the show, he never planned to hide his power all of the time.
Seriously, why risk getting injured by a bullet when you can tank a Ki blast that can annihilate a moon easily?
He wouldn’t nerf himself for no reason.
The only reason he could think of is if he had a woman from a weak race that he may accidentally kill if he was too overpowered.
“The most important lesson is how to sense Ki… isn’t that right.
The Namekian warriors hiding underground because they don’t trust me,” Zukishi said calmly as he observed.
With the ability to sense Ki, he wouldn’t get ambushed from behind.
And he could fight in the darkness or while being surrounded by smoke.
“That’s very right,” Monaito smiled as he tapped his staff on the ground.
From it, green warriors climbed out, cracking it with their energy.
“Why did you teach him this troublesome ability, elder?” said a warrior Namekian.
The elder shook his head, “You wouldn’t be able to do a thing to him anyways.
Even with an ambush…”
“I have developed a good technique that would have worked,” said the Namekian.
‘No, it won’t work…’ Zukishi thought.
Most powerful beams, at best, would allow you to hurt someone three times more than your power level.
But those techniques were rare, and only worked when someone let their guard down.
“Forget about it,” Zukishi waved his hand, “Anyways, elder.
I need someone who can heal.
I’m taking these two losers to train.”
He walked behind, put his hand around Sala’s waist and around Maro’s shoulder.
Sala gave him a side-eye and an elbow, which didn’t hurt, but he slightly felt it.
“Sure.
I’ll assign you my son.
He’s from the Dragon Clan.
He’ll take care of you,” said Monaito with a smile.
He turned to the corner of the village.
“Mararo.
Why don’t you come over here and greet our guests?”
Mararo was a short Namekian kid dressed in robes, indicating his identity as a Dragon Clan member.
‘So, the Dragon Clan remembers to wear robes.
Warriors wear pants.
I’m not getting it wrong, am I?’ Zukishi thought.
‘But there is one thing I must admit.
It’s nice to be a Namekian who can make his own clothes from thin air.’
Mararo stepped out of his hiding and went to the Saiyans.
He bowed gently and said, “My name is Mararo.
Nice to meet you all.”
Maro looked down at him, face firm.
Sala sneered, waving her thumb in front of her throat.
The Namekian little boy took a step back, shaking.
Maro and Sala then smiled, clearly amused.
“Stop scaring the kid,” Zukishi said as he smiled at the little Namekian.
He went to him, bent down, and said, “Don’t mind them.
They are just teasing you.
Here’s a deal.
I’m going to beat them up for you, and you’ll heal them.
That way, they’ll respect you.”
“But I don’t want to hurt them…” Mararo said in a kid voice.
“Don’t worry.
It’s just training.
But nevertheless, they will end up respecting you,” he replied.
Mararo nodded slightly.
Zukishi rubbed the kid’s head.
“That’s a good kid.”
Then he stood up.
“I’ll get away from the village slightly.
Mararo, stay here,” he said, and with that, Zukishi flew in the skyand headed to a nearby mountain range.
The Namekians observed as the two other Saiyans followed.
Then, earthquakes happened one after the other.
Mountains blew up, and massive explosions covered the sky.
Strong winds surged, and loud sounds almost made them deaf.
“This is simply training!?
“They are going to destroy the planet if we don’t stop them.”
“If this is just training, what happens when the others join?”
After a few minutes, the winds calmed down.
The earth stopped shaking, and only the sky was left with massive clouds of dust covering it.
Mararo flew in the sky as quickly as he could, heading to the nearby mountain range.
The mountain range, almost a few kilometers away from their village, was no more a mountain range.
Instead, there was a massive flat land that seemed to be dug with force.
Zukishi appeared, carrying the two Saiyans, with only a few scratches on his chin.
The two Saiyans were almost unconscious, full of injuries.
The woman seemed to be quite happy, though, as she rubbed her face against Zukishi’s head.
The Namekian quickly approached the two, who seemed to be beaten so badly.
“I didn’t mean to go this far.
But their bodies need to recognize that it’s a real life and death battle so that they could improve.
Now, heal them,” Zukishi said.
“What if I don’t?” the Namekian kid asked, clearly having resentment in his heart to the two Saiyans who teased him earlier.
“Then, simply, I won’t protect your planet when the time comes,” Zukishi replied with a shrug.
“And I’ll be waiting for you in hell…” Sala said as she struggled to lift her head.
Even now, they were scaring the kid.
“I’m a good boy.
We won’t meet in the afterlife anyways,” Mararo nodded slightly and then extended his hands forward.
Waves of energy left his palms, covering the two.
Their wounds, which had been caused by Ki beams piercing them and heavy fists of Zukishi, quickly healed.
Not a scratch remained.
The two Saiyans stood up, eyes wide open.
Maro smiled as he stood up and patted the Namekian kid on the head.
“Sorry about earlier, kid.
I was just teasing you,” Maro said with a slight laugh, “In life, it’s not good to be petty.”
Sala nodded, “and here I was planning to give you candy.
But you considered letting us die.
I’m disappointed.”
Saiyans, for sure, knew how to act.
‘No wonder Radizt fooled Goku…’ Zukishi thought.
The two turned to him, while looking at their hands, channeling their Ki.
Sensing the increase in their power level, Zukishi felt quite satisfied.
They grew tremendously.
And considering the fact that there was a healer nearby, he didn’t pull his punches.
The power boost would be good.
“Didn’t I tell you to trust me?” Zukishi smiled at them, as he grabbed a scouter from his pocket.
These were recently made by Maro.
After Zukishi had exploded the previous ones with his increase in power, Maro had new ones, and even improved them to handle more power.
“I always trusted you.
But you gotta take care of me later,” she replied as she leaned forward to Zukishi, “You’ve put me in heat.
You need to take responsibility for it.”
“I’m not in heat, boss.
Don’t look at me like that.
I’m straight,” Maro turned his head away.
“Eww…” Zukishi replied with one word before pressing on the scouter, quite amazed by the Zenkai boost effect.
His eyes suddenly stretched wide open.
“What is it…” Sala excitedly stood in front of him and looked at the scouter, trying to read the numbers that appeared.
“Quickly, tell me, boss,” Maro replied as he gulped hard.
“You’ve reached both a power level of 30,000.
Sala got more this time… 33,000,” Zukishi said, suppressing tears of pride from appearing on his eyes.
“Awesome!
We can conquer Planet Vegeta now!” Maro laughed.
“We are no longer low class!” Sala jumped.
“I need to fight someone really quick!” Maro slammed his fists against each other.
They suddenly got excited.
“Don’t get over-excited.
I need you to train and familiarize yourself first with your new strength.
Besides, you need to train,” Zukishi smiled.
“For now, I need you to measure my power level.”
He then threw the scouter.
Sala caught it and wore it, before looking at Zukishi and activating the reading.
“Let’s hope it doesn’t explode.
I used a high refined metal.
It was more expensive than the typical stuff,” Maro commented.
Zukishi swallowed his saliva as he looked at the scouter.
He had been in space for more than two months, and he had taken weeks to reach this planet.
Past the 40,000 mark, his second Zenkai boost, he had trained hard under the gravity room.
He couldn’t help but wonder how much.
Sala seemed to be about to lose consciousness.
Not from fear, but it seemed the number had done some effect.
With a faint voice, she said, “It’s… It’s…”
