This was his first time facing Goku in his Super Saiyan form.

He didn’t even need to test it; he knew instantly that his current strength was nowhere near enough to win.

But he didn’t have time to dwell on it.Full novel: Dragon Ball Super: The Lazy Master Gets Double Rewards — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Goku was already on him, his speed having spiked by dozens of times.

The Super Saiyan transformation multiplied base power by fifty.

Tien’s Crimson General state had only just barely overpowered Goku’s base form.

Now that the Saiyan was rocking a fifty-fold multiplier, Tien had absolutely no way to fight back.

Bam!

Tien barely managed to cross his arms in time to block Goku’s first punch, but the sheer force sent agonizing shockwaves radiating down to his bones.

Before he could even process the pain, Goku threw a second punch.

Tien tried to bring his guard up, but his arms were completely numb.

He was too slow.

Smack!

A heavy fist slammed square into his chest, launching him dozens of meters backward.

Before Tien could even stabilize himself mid-air, Goku vanished and reappeared directly behind him.

Crash!

Goku drove a devastating blow right into Tien’s back.

“Gah—!” Tien let out a sharp cry of pain.

He plummeted from the sky like a falling meteor, tearing through the air before violently slamming into the earth below.

BOOM!

A massive crater, easily eight meters deep, was blasted into the wasteland, kicking up a thick, choking cloud of dust.

Seeing this, Chiaotzu didn’t hesitate for a second.

He dove straight toward the crater, screaming in panic.

“Tien!”

Hovering in the sky, Goku scratched his cheek guiltily as he looked down at the billowing dust.

“Oops…

did I hit him too hard?”

He quickly flew down, waving his hand to blow the smoke away.

At the bottom of the crater, Tien was standing.

His clothes were torn to shreds and he was covered in dirt, but he was on his feet.

Both Chiaotzu and Goku let out massive sighs of relief.

Chiaotzu flew down to his side, his voice trembling.

“Tien, are you okay?!”

Tien forced a smile and nodded.

“Don’t worry, Chiaotzu.

I’m fine.”

‘Actually, my chest feels like it just got hit by a freight train,’ Tien thought, fighting down a wince.

‘But I can’t just collapse now.

That would be way too embarrassing.’

Seeing that his friend was still standing, Goku beamed.

“Awesome!

I was worried I went a little overboard there.

Come on, Tien, let’s keep going!” This story is hosted at g.com.

Tien didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

‘A little overboard?

You almost broke me in half, Goku!’

He quickly waved his hands.

“No, Goku, that’s enough for today.

I’m no match for you.

I need to train a lot more before we spar again.”

He knew exactly where he stood.

He had barely survived that brief exchange, and once Goku went Super Saiyan, he couldn’t even track the guy’s movements.

Fighting him in that state was literal suicide.

Hearing that, Goku dropped out of his Super Saiyan form, the golden aura fading away.

He looked a little disappointed but smiled anyway.

“Alright, Tien.”

“But you have to promise to spar with me again next time!” Goku whined, scratching the back of his head.

“I’ve been dying of boredom lately.”

“I promise,” Tien nodded.

Goku tilted his head, his expression turning curious.

“By the way, how did you get so strong all of a sudden?” He knew Tien trained constantly, but he had never seen him make a leap in power quite like this.

Without going Super Saiyan, Goku would have actually lost!

At the mention of his new strength, Tien puffed his chest out with pride.

“Chiaotzu and I recently met an incredible martial arts master.

We became his disciples, and under his guidance, our power skyrocketed!”

‘I wonder who’s actually stronger?’ Tien mused internally.

‘Master or Goku?

Master gave me this insane power in just one day, so his own strength must be unfathomable.

But Goku is a monster too…

and that was only Super Saiyan 1.

If he went Super Saiyan 2 or 3, just his aura would crush me.’

He suddenly found himself desperately wanting to see the two of them fight.

Goku’s eyes went wide.

His Saiyan blood practically started boiling.

“Whoa!

A hidden master?!

Where is he?!”

“In the Qiuling Mountains,” Tien replied honestly.

He highly doubted Master Alex would care if he brought an old friend over.

Goku was practically vibrating with excitement.

“Tien, you gotta take me to meet him!

Please?!”

Tien didn’t even need to ask to know what Goku was really after.

“You just want to challenge my master to a fight, don’t you?”

Busted, Goku let out a cheeky laugh.

“Hehe, you know me, Tien!

Whenever I hear about a strong guy, my hands just start itching!” Visit g.com for the full chapter.

Tien shook his head in amusement.

Goku never changed.

He was the ultimate battle maniac.

Before Tien could say another word, Goku grabbed his arm.

“Come on, Tien!

Let’s go right now!”

“Alright, alright, Goku,” Tien laughed.

“Come on, Chiaotzu.”

The three of them took to the sky, rocketing toward the Qiuling Mountains.

Meanwhile, outside the dojo.

Alex had already packed away the Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

He was currently lounging in his favorite wooden chair, soaking in the warm afternoon sun with his eyes closed.

Though he looked like he was asleep, he knew perfectly well that Goku was on his way.

His future star disciple was inbound.

Just thinking about those stat multipliers made his heart skip a beat.

The dojo doors creaked open, and Yurin stepped out.

She crossed her arms, staring skeptically at the man lounging in the sun.

“Are you even a real priest?”

Alex slowly opened one eye.

“What do you mean?”

“All you do is lay around in that chair,” Yurin huffed.

“I haven’t seen you meditate, practice martial arts, or do any actual training.

I think you’re a fake.”

She spoke her mind freely.

She had seen plenty of martial artists in her life, and none of them spent all day snacking and napping.

Alex closed his eyes again, completely unbothered.

He was a fake, but there was no way he was going to admit that.

It was time to bullshit his way out of this.

“To cultivate the Dao is to follow the heart,” Alex said smoothly, his voice dropping into a calm, profound cadence.

“To act as one pleases, unburdened by rigid structure, and to let nature take its course…

that is the ultimate path to true enlightenment.”

Yurin froze.

‘I was so wrong,’ she thought, her eyes widening in awe.

‘He really is a profound master.

I didn’t understand a single word of what he just said, but it sounded incredibly deep!’

Maybe she should become his disciple too?

That way, she and that three-eyed baldy would be fellow students again!

As she stood there rethinking her entire life, Alex opened his eyes and looked up at the distant horizon.

“They’re here,” he murmured, a sly smile tugging at his lips.

“And they made good time, too.

Looks like our favorite battle maniac couldn’t wait.”
