Poachers?

It didn’t take long for Alex to confirm his suspicions.

The people on the speedboat were definitely poachers.Full novel: Dragon Ball Super: The Lazy Master Gets Double Rewards — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

There were four of them, all heavily built.

They anchored the boat on the far side of the shore, completely oblivious to Alex watching them from a distance.

The four burly men jumped onto the beach, fully decked out in tactical gear and wielding submachine guns.

They were heavily armed.

A thug with a dark mole on his face looked at the leader, a muscular man with a tiger tattoo on his arm.

“Boss, someone’s paying top dollar for Rainbow Deer this time.

If we catch one, we won’t have to work for years.”

The tiger-tattooed boss let out a hearty laugh.

“That’s right.

But let’s stay sharp.

We don’t want to attract the park ranger.”

The other three scoffed dismissively.

“Boss, you’re being way too paranoid.

There’s no way a ranger is actually out here.

And even if there is, so what?

These guns ain’t just for show.”

The boss nodded.

They had a point.

What could a simple park ranger do anyway?

This wasn’t their first rodeo.

They had run into rangers plenty of times in the past, and they always ended up burying them in the dirt.

The men pulled out a small, compass-like device.

It was a specialized tracker designed to lock onto the unique energy signature of the Rainbow Deer.

Ki-trackers like this were a poacher’s best friend, allowing them to pinpoint their prey in minutes.

Beep!

Two red dots began flashing on the screen.

The poachers’ eyes lit up with greed.

“Boss, look!

It’s our lucky day!

There isn’t just one Rainbow Deer out here—there are two!”

“Forget a few years, we won’t have to work for a decade!”

“Haha!”

The group laughed raucously, practically salivating at the thought of the payout.

“Alright, let’s move out,” the boss ordered.

Reaching into their pockets, the four men each pulled out a Capsule and tossed them to the ground.

Poof!

Four hovering jetpacks appeared in a cloud of smoke. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

They strapped them on with practiced ease and fired up the engines.

As they flew toward the coordinates, Alex silently took to the air, trailing high above them while keeping a safe distance.

Thanks to the tracker, the poachers quickly reached their targets.

The two Rainbow Deer were absolutely breathtaking.

Their entire coats, from their heads to their hooves, shimmered in vibrant, iridescent colors.

They looked like walking rainbows.

Seeing their prize, the poachers were ecstatic.

They raised their submachine guns and took aim.

The two deer, completely oblivious to the danger, continued to drink peacefully from the stream.

The boss gave a curt nod and counted down on his fingers.

Three, two, one!

Pew!

Pew!

Pew!

The suppressed gunshots were barely audible.

The four men fired simultaneously in pairs, aiming a barrage of bullets at each deer.

But right before the bullets could strike the majestic creatures, a figure materialized in mid-air.

It was a young man with shoulder-length black hair, wearing a dark green long-sleeved shirt and black gloves.

His expression was cold and apathetic.

Without breaking a sweat, he casually snatched the bullets right out of the air.

He turned his icy gaze toward the four poachers.

The poachers froze in shock.

This guy had just appeared out of thin air, and worse—he was floating effortlessly without a jetpack!

It defied all logic.

But what really terrified them were his eyes.

Despite the sweltering tropical heat, his glare sent a freezing chill down their spines.

Gulping nervously, the boss aimed his gun.

“Wh-who the hell are you?!”

Hovering high above the canopy, Alex watched the scene unfold, a satisfied smirk curling his lips.

‘Just as I thought.

It’s Android 17.’

It was unmistakably him—the cyborg with an infinite energy generator.

Android 17 looked down at the poachers, his voice completely devoid of emotion.

“The guy who’s going to send you to hell.”

The four poachers didn’t know why, but those words felt like a death sentence.

The raw, suffocating killing intent rolling off the cyborg made them shudder violently.

“Boss, he’s just one guy!

There’s four of us, and we’ve got guns!

Let’s just light him up!”

Hearing that, the others snapped out of their stupor.

He was right.

Why were they scared of one guy when they were heavily armed?

Their confidence quickly returned.

“Stop acting tough, you freak!” the boss roared.

“Go to hell!”

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

The poachers squeezed their triggers, unleashing a torrential downpour of bullets.

Android 17 didn’t even flinch.

Facing the hailstorm of lead, he simply floated forward, closing the distance step by step.

Rat-tat-tat-tat!

The bullets hammered into 17’s body, but they didn’t leave a single scratch.

In fact, they didn’t even tear a single hole in his clothes.

Right before the bullets made contact, 17 had used a microscopic layer of ki to completely neutralize their kinetic energy.

To him, the heavy gunfire was no more dangerous than a light drizzle.

And rain obviously couldn’t hurt Android 17.

Seeing their barrage do absolutely nothing, the poachers completely lost their minds.

Panicking, they threw their guns away, cranked their jetpacks to maximum power, and scattered like roaches.

But Android 17 never showed mercy to poachers.

He wasn’t about to let them escape.

With a flicker of movement, he vanished.

Whoosh!

He reappeared directly in their escape paths.

Bam!

In the blink of an eye, he delivered a devastating strike to each of them.

The four men were launched over the horizon like baseballs, disappearing into the distant sky.

With the trash taken care of, 17 glanced back down at the stream.

The two Rainbow Deer were still peacefully drinking water, completely undisturbed.

A rare, gentle warmth softened 17’s cold eyes.

He was glad he hadn’t scared them.

He turned around, preparing to fly back to his cabin.
