The interior scale of the Frieza Force’s flagship far exceeded that of The Destroyer.

Dalles and his subordinates were arranged in the guest quarters on the flagship’s middle level.

The room wasn’t large, but it was fully equipped, with the walls and floor painted in a uniform dark gray tone.Full novel: Dragon Ball: The Saiyan Who Served Frieza — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Compared to the days of squeezing together on The Destroyer, this place was indeed much more luxurious.

Armond plopped down onto a metal bench, letting out a long breath.

“Lord Dalles, I suppose we’ve succeeded now?”

“This Lord Frieza seems unexpectedly amiable.”

Hearing this, Dalles secretly scoffed in his mind.

*Amiable?*

*In a certain sense, I suppose he could be considered so.*

*But once he gets serious, it’s best not to make any mistakes in front of him.*

*Otherwise, his mood can flip like a switch.

One second he’s a polite gentleman, and the next he could terrify you into a trembling mess.*

However, given their current situation, Dalles naturally couldn’t afford a slip of the tongue.

He simply replied coldly, “Ah, Lord Frieza is the greatest leader in the universe!”

Hearing this, the others, relying on years of unspoken understanding, could somewhat read between the lines of their boss’s words.

They nodded in agreement and then fell silent.

Not long after, Dalles took a brief rest and changed into a set of battle armor bearing the Frieza Force insignia.

He then went to present himself before Frieza.

During the journey back to the Force’s headquarters…

…Dalles seized the opportunity during his conversations with Frieza to further build up his persona as someone with a very weak sense of belonging to the Saiyan race.

In truth, he had vaguely guessed who the “friends” Frieza had mentioned introducing him to were.

Based on the current timeline, Vegeta should still be working for the Frieza Force.

He boldly guessed that Frieza was planning to arrange a meeting between him and Vegeta.

After all, they were among the few remaining Saiyans.

Naturally, he had to make his stance clear to Frieza beforehand.

This was to lay the groundwork for when he eventually faced Vegeta.

Competition among subordinates was always something superiors were happy to see.

After returning to his room…

…Dalles’s nerves finally managed to relax slightly.

For now, he had temporarily achieved a certain degree of stability.

Returning to the Frieza Force as a Saiyan could only be considered a small step forward in this world.

In the short term, he shouldn’t have to live a life of hiding and fleeing to avoid pursuit from Lord Slug’s army anymore.

But his purpose for joining the Frieza Force was, of course, not just for this reason.

Although Frieza currently scoffed at the Tree of Might fruit, that was only because he didn’t truly understand it.

The reason the Tree of Might fruit was so attractive to Lord Slug wasn’t actually because of the meager combat power it provided.

It was because of its boundless life force!

As well as the comprehensive physical optimization effects provided by the very first fruit consumed.

If Frieza learned of this, would he make some major moves because of it?

From what Dalles understood, Frieza—who was technically not even an adult in his species’ life cycle—had an immense interest in lifespan.

Actually, that wasn’t quite right.

Looking across the entire universe, there were very few figures who weren’t fanatical about extending their lifespans.

If Lord Slug truly chose to clash head-on with Frieza over the Tree of Might fruit, then it wouldn’t be hard for Frieza to discover its true miraculous uses.

When that time came, what would happen?

Dalles currently couldn’t predict it.

Would Frieza frantically cultivate the Tree of Might fruit across the entire universe?

The possibility was quite high.

However, Frieza’s previous actions had essentially shut the door on his own opportunity to deeply understand the Tree of Might fruit in the short term.

This allowed Dalles to gain more peaceful time.

Using the Frieza Force as a stepping stone, Dalles’s true goal was still that miraculous and beautiful planet—Earth!

Or Namek!

Only after obtaining the coordinates for these two planets could his subsequent plans truly begin.

During the three-day voyage…

…Dalles stayed in his guest room, pondering how to extract the coordinates for Earth or Namek from the Frieza Force’s database and how to subsequently escape their control.

Suddenly, a bright light from outside the window interrupted his thoughts.

The silhouette of a planet emerged from the dark curtain of space.

Emerald green.

Azure blue.

Vast stretches of vegetation covered the planet’s surface, and clear bodies of water refracted dense clusters of bright spots under the starlight.

The skyline was clean and translucent, an impossibly vibrant blue.

Dalles froze for a moment.

*This is Frieza’s headquarters?*

He had made quite a few assumptions before arriving.

A cold metal fortress, a gloomy military stronghold, with armed patrols and high-energy defense turrets everywhere.

Or perhaps a vast expanse of snow-white, icy wasteland.

That kind of aesthetic would have felt right.

But on the planet before him, flocks of flying creatures soared through the clouds, tracing tiny arcs in the atmosphere.

Armond and Daiz also leaned in to look.

“Lord Dalles!”

“This planet is unexpectedly beautiful!”

Dalles’s gaze swept over the endless greenery, and a thought suddenly flashed through his mind.

*The life force of this planet is incredibly abundant.*

*If the seed of the Tree of Might were planted here…*

Even Dalles himself was stunned by this crazy idea.

He instantly tossed the terrifying thought to the back of his mind.

The spaceship penetrated the atmosphere.

The perspective shifted from outer space to a near-earth bird’s-eye view.

Emerald mountains, winding rivers, vast plains—this planet was practically a meticulously maintained giant garden.

*Frieza’s aesthetic tastes are actually quite refined!*

But Dalles didn’t have much time to admire it.

The ship’s hull vibrated slightly.

After passing through the final layer of thin clouds, the ground rapidly magnified.

A dedicated landing pad appeared directly below their line of sight.

A grayish-white alloy platform was embedded amidst a sea of emerald green, surrounded by neatly trimmed low vegetation, with several straight pathways extending in all directions.

In the distance, massive disc-shaped architectural complexes were scattered neatly throughout the verdant valley.

Their lines were smooth, their structures precise, and their outer walls reflected the starlight, surprisingly not clashing at all with the surrounding mountains, water, and flora.

Even further away lay a wide expanse of water, so clear it could reflect the entire sky.

The landing shock absorbers touched the ground, the cabin doors opened, and the scent of fresh grass mixed with soil rushed in.

Outside the doors, rows of welcoming soldiers stood in strict formation.

There were tall, dark-purple-skinned humanoids; short, lean insectoids with antennae on their heads; and upright-walking reptilian aliens covered entirely in scales.

Their uniforms were identical.

Their movements were synchronized.

Frieza was the first to step out of the cabin, with Sarbo and Dodoria following closely behind.

Next came Dalles.

Behind him followed Armond, Daiz, Cacao, and the brothers Rez and Lakasse.

Dalles led his subordinates between the two rows of soldiers.

The soldiers’ gazes swept over them.

On the faces of various races, there was more or less something Dalles was quite familiar with—the scrutinizing look given to newcomers.

Curiosity mixed with a hint of disdain.

Amidst this casual scrutiny, as Dalles walked to the middle…

…one of the soldiers’ antennae twitched violently.

His gaze fell upon Dalles’s waist.

That furry tail, wrapped around his waist acting as a belt.

Whispers spread almost instantly.

“A tail…

is that…”

“A Saiyan?”

“No way, right?

Weren’t the Saiyans wiped out long ago…

Are there others besides Vegeta and his group…”

“Shh!”
