Nicolas stayed close to Ember in the days that followed, but quite as much as he thought at first.
He monitored her carefully, feeding her the richest flame-fruit and dual-element mixtures the farms could produce. Her Mythic body accepted the pregnancy with quiet strength; the white-gold fire under her skin never flickered with strain. He rested with her often, one hand on the soft heat of her lower belly, feeling the new life that already pulsed there. Victoria and Lola remained nearby, protective and calm.
When Ember was settled, Nicolas opened the store again.
He purchased a Common Aqua Dragoness for a modest sum. The egg was cool and translucent blue. He hatched it in the Water Habitat. A slender dragoness of clear water-blue scales emerged, eyes like deep lakes. He named her Lisa and fed her without pause until she reached Level 20. She was gentle, adaptive, and already beginning to sense the larger currents of the Domain.
Next he spent a heavier sum on a Rare Black Dragon egg listed as Flame of the Darkness. The shell was matte black, threaded with hidden crimson veins. When it hatched, a sleek dragoness of pure midnight scales stepped out, eyes burning with dark red fire. Heat and shadow clung to her in equal measure.
He named her Nera.
Nicolas sat with her beneath the Summoning Tree and began the dual teaching.
First he gave her the Dao of Fire, the same truths Ember had mastered: transformation rather than mere destruction, the refusal to cling to form, the understanding that true fire burns without hatred. Nera absorbed it in silence, dark flames flickering higher along her spine.
Then he taught her the Dao of Darkness.
“Darkness is not nothingness,” he said. “It contains seeds beneath soil, stars invisible in daylight, unborn possibilities, unconscious thoughts, and everything not yet understood. The seed does not look like the tree. The unknown is not empty. Darkness is possibility before manifestation.
Light makes things visible. Darkness removes that certainty. The immature practitioner demands that everything be illuminated. The mature one learns to walk even when the road cannot be fully seen. That is trust without blindness, acting intelligently while acknowledging the limits of knowledge.
Darkness contains the unconscious: fears, desires, instincts, memories, contradictions, rejected parts of the self. What you refuse to see controls you from the shadows. What you consciously encounter can become integrated. Darkness becomes a teacher rather than an enemy.
Darkness conceals power. Fire announces itself. Earth manifests itself. Darkness operates without being noticed. Seeds grow underground. Roots spread beneath the surface. Thought develops before speech. Strategy exists before action. The Dao of Darkness values silence over display, depth over spectacle, patience over immediacy, observation over reaction.
The ego demands to know, to control, to be recognized, to understand everything. Darkness answers: you are not the center of what exists. There will always be something beyond your grasp. That is not humiliation. It is liberation. New chapters come out on g.com first.
The immature Darkness says nothing can be known and becomes nihilism.
The mature Darkness says some things are not yet known and becomes humility.
The highest Darkness says the unknown itself is part of reality and becomes wisdom.
Well, it depended more on what it was intended to do.
Light reveals objects. Darkness reveals the limits of the observer. When the lights disappear you meet your relationship with the world: fear, imagination, intuition, the desire for control, and finally stillness. You discover you do not need reality to be completely transparent in order to inhabit it.
Do not fear the unseen. Enter it without hatred, remain conscious within it, and discover what can only be found when the demand for certainty becomes silent. At its apex the Dao of Darkness is not ‘become darkness.’ It is: become comfortable enough with the unknown that you no longer need to turn every mystery into an enemy.”
Nera’s body erupted in silent black-crimson fire shot through with deeper void.
Evolution complete.
Nera has advanced to Heroic Rank.
Class: Heroic Dragoness of the Dark Eternal Fire
New elemental affinity unlocked: Legend
Dao of Fire and Dao of Darkness : Fully Comprehended.
When the fire cleared she stood in human-dragon form.
Nera was devastating. Tall and powerfully curved, her skin a smooth, living midnight that drank the light. Full, heavy breasts (high U-cup) sat high and firm on her chest, dark nipples already tight. Her waist dipped sharply into wide, lush hips and a thick, rounded ass that moved with every shift of her weight. Long legs ended in elegant clawed feet. Hair fell in a thick cascade of pure black shot with hidden crimson embers, reaching the small of her back. Small curved horns of polished obsidian crowned her head. Wings of layered shadow and dark flame folded behind her. Her eyes were deep crimson-black, intelligent and hungry.
Nicolas bought the Level Rank upgrade from the store with gold continuously generated by his growing roster of dragonesses. Fresh resources poured in. He fed every dragoness L Ember, Victoria, Lola, Lisa, and Nera until all of them stood at Level 25. Their presence thickened the air of the Domain.
Three opponents rose in succession.
First: a Very Rare Freezing Dragon of Water, Ice, and Darkness. It fought with crushing cold and shadowed water, trying to drown and freeze her at once. Nera walked through the storm as if it were mist. Dark eternal fire turned ice to black steam. She seized the creature, drove it into the floor, and burned a hole straight through its chest until the dual elements inside it collapsed.
Second: an Epic Voltaix Dragon of Metal, Electric, and Earth. Armored, crackling, heavy. It slammed her with kinetic force and lightning-charged stone. Nera took the hits, let the darkness swallow the electricity, then answered with Legend-tinged black flame that melted metal and stone alike. She tore its armored throat open and left the body sparking and dead.
Third: a Legendary Demonic Dragon of Earth, Fire, and Bellic (War) elements. Massive, horned, radiating killing intent and molten stone. The fight was brutal and prolonged. It broke one of her wings and opened a deep gash across her side. Nera only smiled. Dark eternal fire mixed with pure Legend energy erupted from her entire body. She closed in, ignored the pain, and methodically dismantled it, ripping off one arm, crushing its knee joints, then forcing both clawed hands into its ribcage and igniting its core from within. The Legendary dragon died screaming as black-crimson fire and raw Legend power consumed it from the inside out.
Nera stood over the three corpses, blood and ash dripping from her claws, breasts heaving, hips cocked in residual battle tension. She looked back at Nicolas and gave him a slow, satisfied smile.
The Domain recorded the victories. Gold and rare materials flooded in.
Ember, still carrying their child, watched from the edge of the Fire Habitat with quiet pride. Victoria and Lola stood beside her. Lisa, the gentle aqua dragoness, observed with wide eyes. Nera walked back to Nicolas, hips swaying, and pressed her blood-streaked body against him without shame.
“More,” she murmured, voice low and dark. “I want more.”
Nicolas rested a hand on the curve of her waist and felt the Legend element still humming under her skin.
The roster had grown.
The Daos had deepened.
And the first of the next generation was already on its way.
