Shi Sheng left the task of tracing leads to He Qiuyou, but she didn’t remain idle herself.

Although the school teachers were very lenient with her, she was still officially a student and couldn’t act too recklessly.

However, as soon as she entered the school that day, she noticed students cleaning everywhere.Full novel: Dropping disguises one after another Young Miss don’t be so domineering — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Some were wiping down statues, others were picking up trash from the lawns, and even more were carefully trimming the flowers and plants along the pathways with small scissors.

Upon closer inspection, it wasn’t just students many teachers had also stepped out of their offices to supervise this large-scale cleaning.

Shi Sheng paused for a moment.

What was going on?

She was about to ask a student when a teacher’s voice came from nearby.

“Shi Sheng, how are you feeling?” the female teacher asked with concern.

Shi Sheng shook her head. “It’s nothing serious.”

She had taken a few days off recently to handle matters for the Shi family. The teachers didn’t ask why and simply approved her leave, assuming she was unwell and went to the hospital.

“That’s good to hear. Even if you weren’t coming back today, I was planning to call you anyway.” The female teacher’s tone grew a little excited. “Tomorrow is our school’s international exchange event. The president of Huanyu Group from Beijing will be giving a speech you must be on time to hear it.”

Shi Sheng’s eyes flickered slightly.

Huanyu Group of course she knew it.

It was the undisputed powerhouse not only in China but across all of Asia.

Their business operations spanned the globe, and they maintained close ties with multiple heads of state.

Most notable, however, was the current head of the group.

At only 32, this business prodigy was known for his iron-fisted management. Five years ago, he took over Shi Group and, through a series of dramatic acquisitions, increased its market value by 800%.

Dubbed “The Wolf of Asia” by Fortune magazine, he rarely appeared in public, and no clear photo of him had ever been released.

With someone like this giving a speech, it was no wonder the students were so excited practically buzzing with energy.

But why would he suddenly choose to come to Huada University?

Noticing Shi Sheng’s puzzled expression, the female teacher smiled and explained.

“Our principal taught at a middle school in Beijing over ten years ago and happened to teach him for three years. That’s how we were able to invite him this time.”

Shi Sheng nodded. “I’ll be on time tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, in a vast yet understated mansion in Beijing, the silence was suddenly broken by a phone ringing.

The woman answering appeared to be in her thirties, with an elegant, refined demeanor, and eyes that instinctively drew people in.

Seeing the caller ID, her fingers tensed briefly, and a flash of cold ruthlessness flickered in her gaze.

She dismissed the servant and then picked up the call. “What happened?”

“Something from 18 years ago someone traced Bó Hào.”

“What!” Shocked, the woman dropped her cup, which shattered on the floor.

Every item she used was exquisite, including her tea cup, carefully selected and usually kept safely in a display cabinet but it hadn’t even caught his attention.

The noise had alerted someone outside, who whispered, “Madam, what happened?”

She cleared her throat. “Nothing, Aunt Wang. You may go back to your work.”

Once the footsteps faded, she resumed her call, lowering her voice. “Who’s investigating? Do we know their identity?”

After all these years, how could anyone still be looking into that matter?

Could that damned girl still be alive?

Impossible Bó Hào had sent her a photo back then.

“Their hacker skills surpass ours. We still can’t trace their identity.”

“Find out. Leave not a single clue untraced!”

Time passed, and soon the day of the international exchange arrived.

Summer sunlight poured through the glass dome of the auditorium, making the wooden floor gleam. The massive hall was packed.

Everyone’s expressions were excited, eyes fixed on the stage, completely silent.

God above, this was the president of Huanyu! How many journalists had wanted an interview, how many people had wanted even a glimpse, and now he was here at Huada University? They were overjoyed beyond words.

“It’s an honor to be here at Huada University…”

A deep male voice resonated. On the stage, the president of Huanyu, Fu Wenyuan, stood in a custom silver-gray suit that gleamed with a cool luster. His imposing presence made the students gasp involuntarily.

“Today, I haven’t prepared anything too profound I just want to talk about dreams and perseverance…”

Not just the students every eager face in the hall seemed to hang on every word. If it weren’t for the ban on electronic devices, they would have recorded every sentence to replay hundreds of times.

“I know some of you feel that once you get into university, the drive fades. Perseverance is hard and exhausting why not play games or fall in love instead? The dreams you hid in your hearts as children are long forgotten…”

The top students in the auditorium frowned seriously.

Indeed, they had truly neglected their own dreams for too long.

How could they have made such a mistake, wasting time on trivial matters?

“But I believe your pursuits should be more than that, right?”

Shi Sheng, favored by her teacher to sit in the front row, rested her chin on her hand and watched the man on stage.

She didn’t know why, but looking at Fu Wenyuan gave her a rare feeling of warmth.

It was the first time in her life she had felt this way.

But as the president of Huanyu, his ability to inspire was undeniable.

Even Shi Sheng, normally hard to sway, felt motivated by just a few words.

Her gaze darkened slightly, mentally labeling the man on stage as dangerous.

The simple yet thought-provoking speech ended, and everyone finally reacted, faces showing satisfaction mixed with the eager desire to immediately start studying.

Thunderous applause followed.

As Fu Wenyuan stepped down, the principal approached with a smile. “President Fu, we have the international student exchange afterward would you like to stay?”

Fu Wenyuan didn’t refuse. Having come all this way, staying a bit longer was no problem.

Huada University was one of China’s top universities he could also see if there were any promising talents.

Just as he was about to leave the auditorium, his assistant leaned in quietly: “President Fu, I just received a call from the chairman he wants you to return to Beijing immediately.”
