Chapter 16: Excalibur Rapidly? by Harem-Fan
Another week later, and I was awaiting the first Exorcist Holy Sword wielder to arrive in Kuoh Town..
Crunch Crunch~! The sounds of Asia and my feet crunching the small bits of rubble echoed in the large room.
"Freed, the destruction in the old church is worse than I thought."
Asia looks sad that most of the pews and altar were destroyed in the Gremory purge a fortnight ago.
"Most of this damage was caused by the High-Class-low Devil Princess, Rias Gremory, and the rest was from her Queen Akeno."
She picked up a broken cross and said...
"Will we be able to fix this place, seems sad to let it sit unused?"
Step Step Step~! I was alert and pulled out my Light Gun and a Light Sword as I heard multiple sets of feet coming in from outside.
Asia, now used to me fighting, stood behind me so I could shield her as the Devils came.
I frowned when I saw who came...
Sona Sitri, Tsubaki Shinra, Genshirou Saji, Momo Hanakai, and Aika Kiryuu, who had a look of wishing she didn't have to come.
"Fart, why did a Devil party come? This is the Gremory territory, not Sitri, right?"
Sona's eyes shrank when she felt the Light Gun in my hand, as the power from it is equal to Rias's standard Destruction Bullets.
"The Lord of the territory is out of town, and I was asked to keep the peace."
My grin grew, because if Sona wasn't here, I could still hold my own, but with Asia with me, I can't chance a fight with them, so I said half jokingly.
"It's the house of God, a very peaceful place, so let's pretend we didn't see one another, or you will get dragged into a fight with the Church here, hehe."
Asia looked around my shoulder, surprising a few of the Devils that had not yet seen Asia.
I noticed that guy Saji was shocked at Asia's beauty, but I ignored the Yellow Hair.
"Are you planning to start a conflict with the Church here?"
Sona pushed up her glasses with a serious tone.
I shrugged and said with a smile.
"If you don't tell and I don't tell, who will know? Seriously, go back to your school President Sitri, don't meddle here... I'm a busy bad-guy."
Saji rolled up his sleeves and said to Sona.
"See President, he even called himself a bad guy!"
Both Sona and I rolled our eyes at the same time and I pointed.
"Yellow Hair, you're literally a Devil, the definition of bad, dumbass."
Sona said with a stern tone to Saji.
"Stand down Saji... Freed Sellzen, I will leave you with these words from me to you... "You can cause whatever trouble outside, but if you endanger the school or students, I will step in."
I shrug like a villain needing a slap and agree.
"Sure thing Water Princess... Bye bye Devil-chan, Cosplay-chan, Yellow hair, and White hair."
As the five Devils left, Asia was happy.
"Scary, but they didn't seem like bad people."
I picked up a still decent bench and sat with Asia, while she held my left-hand.
"Actually, I think that Sona Sitri just wanted to meet me in person again for a legitimate reason, plus... She came here to tell me the Gremory isn't here and I can make some noise, hehe."
Asia doesn't really get it, but she just held my arm and closed her eyes while we waited for our target to show...
Five Devils walked the dark streets and Saji asked in a complaint...
"Hey Pres, why did we not arrest that guy, he is up to no good? With all of us here, it's like three Queens, a Bishop and you?"
Sona told him a partial part of it.
"He is stronger than you think, like stronger than Tsubaki, and that Light Gun was no ordinary weapon used for killing Lower and Middle supernaturals. That gun could even endanger me and Rias Gremory's life if he went all out, so killing you with one or two shots is easy."
Gulp~! Saji swallowed and looked back at the church, and Tsubaki added.
"If that nun wasn't with him, he might've even started a fight for fun, and that nun Asia Argento is no ordinary Stray Nun, as she has a healing Sacred Gear, making Freed Sellzen even more dangerous..."
Sona could almost hear the praise from her Queen's analysis, and Aika was grinning that she got to see Freed.
Momo took Saji's arm and said to comfort him.
"Gen-chan, you're getting super strong, so just surpass him, he is only Human after all, and you have a strong Sacred Gear needing 4 Pawn Pieces."
Suddenly the group saw a tall and muscular man in Exorcist robes walking in the opposite direction heading to the church, and Tsubaki asked Sona.
"Sona, do you feel it?"
Sona and the Church Exorcist exchanged looks and ignored each-other.
"Yes, a Holy Sword user."
Now Sona knew why Freed was in a rush to get rid of them, but she shook her head and ignored it, she got her answers...
I heard someone coming up to the front of the church in a quiet and cautious way, and I knew my guest had arrived...
I called on my readied phone.
[Honey, is it time?]
"Yeah, they're here, so come in around 10 minutes for the pickup, love you"
As I hung up the phone, I was stunned!
Did... Did I just tell Raynare I love her?
Unknown to me, Raynare was more speechless as her chest felt funny.
I looked to Asia.
"He is coming, so hide behind the broken wall there while he and I fight."
Asia clasped her hands in an almost praying motion, with her silver cross in her hands, and nodded.
"Please be careful, Freed, I will pray for you."
I rolled my eyes at this simple and pure girl who sleeps with a lion as a lamb.
Step Step~! Just as Asia hid, a large man entered the damaged church.
A tall man around 6 feet tall came into view and wore an identical outfit to me.
The most notable features of this guy was he was American and in his late 20's or so.
Unlike my gold cross and buttons on my coat, he had silver.
He had the body of an athlete, powerfully built, and strong, like a Greek God.
His pale-blue eyes scanned everything in wariness, and his short white hair was messy.
The most noticeable thing I saw on his right hand was a steel ring with a jadeite stone embedded in it, the Holy Sword transformed.
I held my right-hand palm up and a white with silvery specs baseball sized Holy Fire ignited, then turned into a beautifully decorated Light Gun.
I held my Karma Light Gun in my right hand this time, and my standard issue Grigori Light Sword in my left-hand, now activated.
Why do I call my new gun the Karma Light Gun?
Because after mastering the Release State of Telos Karma, I was able to integrate it into my Sacred Gear and summon it at will. (Just like how Issei combined Boosted Gear and Ascalon in the anime.)
The man who entered also touched the ring on his right-hand and an orange aura flowed, and a sword was now held in his right-hand.
The Holy Sword, Excalibur Rapidly, appears as a single-edged, wide blade with a diamond-shaped gap in the center and spikes on both edges.
I joked with the man.
"Brother Kris Tempest, you're as talkative as ever, hehe!"
The Exorcist, now known as Kris Tempest, had the orange aura covering himself as he asked me.
"Freed Sellzen, as a Stray Exorcist, why would you work with Valper here? I'm here on orders of the Vatican Church to arrest you. Will you come peacefully, or shall I use force?"
I decided to let go of the bloodlust I've been holding back, and a feeling of release came over me, so I hugged my shoulders to mock my foe.
"Hahaha, If you were a beautiful woman, I would want you to use force, hehe... But you're just a dog of the Church that fell into my hands, now gimme my new toy, hehe!"
Bang Whoosh Boom~! As I pointed my Karma Gun at Kris, I pulled the trigger without hesitation, and instead of a standard Light Bullet, the bullet immediately turned into a baseball sized Holy Fire bullet that Kris barely avoided...
However, the wall behind himself collapsed from the fiery explosion.
Yeah, instead of filling this special gun with ammunition, it turns my Stamina into endless Holy Fire attacks, so long as my Stamina can keep up.
This Light Gun can still use standard lower quality ammunition, but the Holy Fire is stronger in every-way.
I also learned to infuse Holy Fire into standard Light Bullets for the normal gun, but it's less powerful than the Karma Light Gun.
Kris looked at the 3 foot sized hole near himself with small amounts of Holy Fire still burning and swallowed hard.
He held Excalibur Rapidly in both hands knowing this was a fight to the death.
Fwoosh Clang Clang~! And with Devil Knight speeds, both Humans rushed to one another and exchanged blade strokes and moved back again.
I chuckled at the fact this guy needs to use a Holy Sword to match my speed, and I tried but failed to keep my smug mouth shut.
"Hohoho, That's it?! Man if you put a jetpack on a snail, it's still a snail, right Mr. Turbo?"
Clang Clang Clang~! Without words, Kris charged me at full strength and put his all into defeating me.
As I madly swung my Light Sword to deflect and redirect his blows with Telos Karma, I felt like I was about to make a breakthrough in power...
Clang Slitch Slice~! Kris decided to play a game of sword-chicken with me, but I knew I had Asia, and as we both thrust our blades...
His blade entered my right chest puncturing my lung, and my blade entered his right shoulder.
I grinned madly with blood on my lips.
"Haha, Thanks for playing! Bang!"
Bang~! And as he was going to try and pull his Holy Sword out of me to retreat, he saw me aim my gun into his lower torso and pulled the trigger, ending his fighting ability.
Thud~! His vision faded as he hit the floor from the large hole in his stomach.
Step Step~! And from where Asia was hiding, she ran immediately to me with her Twilight Healing rings out to cover me in a warm green light.
Asia saw me painfully pulling out the Excalibur Rapidly sword from my chest, and she asked with teary eyes.
"Freed, will you be okay?"
As I felt a lot better and knew I could talk now, I pointed to the guy dying at my feet and said half jokingly.
"Cough, I'm alright for now, save this chump before he really goes to Third Heaven, hehe, cough. Oh, just heal him enough to not die, we don't want him resisting Raynare, right."
Step Step~! At that time, Raynare sexily walked into the church and came to me.
She used her finger to poke my chest wound, making me flinch in pain, while she said teasingly.
"You fight stupidly, but It's kinda hot, haha. you'll live. Okay, I will take this guy to Azazel's private hospital and keep him there."
Raynare had a bit of my blood on her fingertip and licked it, then I said.
"You're a hot sadist, Dear, hehe."
I then picked up the Holy Sword as Raynare set up a transportation circle.
Holding it in my right hand, I used Telos Karma to help me bind the sword to me, and break its will with Kris Tempest, and it worked!
Buzz~! The blade shrank and became a steel ring on my right index finger, and I grinned.
"Alright Asia, we will see Raynare tonight, and Ray, see you later."
Raynare was covered in magenta lights as she and the unconscious priest were fading.
"I might love you too, Honey, haha."
As Raynare faded, Asia helped to wipe off my blood the best she could, then we left...
While I was happy, Rias and Issei were sad...
