The blades on his forearms glowed, his eyes locked onto his target, and Sebastian threw himself straight into the halo, treating Solomon’s third Noble Phantasm as nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

In the distance, Grayfia—watching through Ayaka Sajyou’s projection spell—could barely keep her seat.

Artoria and Kuroka instantly stood up, ready for battle.Full novel: DxD: The Forgotten Lucifer in High School DxD — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Only Ayaka Sajyou sighed softly and snapped her fingers.

The show she wanted to see was already over, so she released her restriction on Solomon’s pair of Clairvoyance.

In that single instant, Solomon saw the future.

He lowered his hands and completely gave up resisting.

His strongest Noble Phantasm slammed into Sebastian, but the terrifying heat was completely ignored, and the explosive impact could not even slow the Devil down.

On the contrary, the layer of blue flames surrounding Sebastian devoured the band of light the moment it made contact.

A second later, Sebastian flashed forward.

Solomon’s body was engulfed in blue flames, quickly dissolving into golden dust.

He was eliminated from the Holy Grail War.

From start to finish, the clash had taken only ten seconds.

If Solomon had not prepared in advance, he would have been destroyed on the very first strike.

But surviving one hit and forcing a second attack from Sebastian was an achievement few heroes could match in their lifetimes.

With Solomon defeated, Sebastian threw his head back and let out a thundering roar toward the sky.

The blue flames instantly erupted outward, devouring the surrounding forest and castle.

Without a boundary field to protect them, everything turned to ash under the extreme heat.

Ayaka Sajyou snapped her fingers again.

Grayfia, Ingvild hiding in the shadows, Shirone, Sakura Amagiri, Rin Amagiri, Irisviel, and Ayaka herself were all teleported back into Fuyuki City.

Exactly forty seconds after the initial explosion, the distant blue flames abruptly pulled back into Sebastian’s body.

His magical energy completely exhausted, he collapsed onto the ground as his consciousness returned.

Through his Peerage connection, Sebastian immediately checked on Grayfia and the others.

Confirming they were all safe, he finally relaxed.

Solomon was gone, and the Holy Grail War was over.

Behind the clouds parted by the flames, a golden light descended from the heavens.

The golden Holy Grail floated down and merged directly into Sebastian’s forehead.

His vision went dark, and he lost consciousness completely.

Devils, Gods, and Dragon Kings represent the highest tiers of combat power in this world.

Chief Gods of pantheons are slightly stronger than average Devils, Gods, or Dragon Kings.

Among the Devils, figures like Grayfia can rival Chief Gods, just as the strongest of the Five Great Dragon Kings—Tiamat, the Chaos Karma Dragon—can.

They stand at the very apex of standard power.

Those who surpass them are pure monsters!

Heavenly Dragons and Super Devils are classified as outliers even within their own factions.

These individuals not only possess absurd individual strength, but they also trigger events that alter the world.

Sirzechs Lucifer and Ajuka Beelzebub overthrew the ancient system of the Underworld and reshaped the entire Devil race.

Rizevim Livan Lucifer sought to release the Evil Dragons and invade other worlds.

All three Super Devils of the Devil race bring massive shifts to reality.

The Heavenly Dragons are even more lawless.

Evil Dragons that reach the Heavenly Dragon level—like Azi Dahaka, the Diabolical Dragon of the Source—had to be sealed away entirely.

The Red Dragon Emperor and the White Dragon Emperor were sealed into Sacred Gears: the Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing.

Even the Beast King 666 and the God of Destruction have been sealed or slain.

Lord Shiva, the God of Destruction, has always been a loner, never associating with other major powers.

Even Azazel, the Governor General of the Fallen Angels, did not include Shiva when calculating combat forces to handle the Beast King.

Going up one final tier leads to beings like Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God, and Great Red.

They find staying within the world tedious and prefer living in the Dimensional Gap.

Individuals of this caliber can be counted on one hand.

For the leaders of the various factions, the first rule of survival is knowing who these outliers are and monitoring their actions.

The emergence of a new one is a major event that shakes the world!

So when Sebastian’s roar swept across the globe like a massive tide of energy, every faction—regardless of their current plans—immediately shifted their focus.

They needed to find out who this being was, what he wanted, and what he had done.

Various pantheons mobilized instantly following the shockwave.

Over in the Underworld, Sirzechs Lucifer and Ajuka Beelzebub were mid-conversation about Rizevim when the sudden wave of power reached them.

Their expressions changed immediately.

“Sirzechs, this…” Ajuka reacted instantly.

Sirzechs frowned, letting out a helpless sigh before nodding to his friend.

“If I’m not mistaken…

this presence isn’t on the level of Chief Gods, or even Heavenly Dragons.”

Ajuka sighed as well.

“It must be a Dragon God class…

I really didn’t expect a third Dragon God to appear.

Hopefully, the world won’t be thrown into chaos.”

“I hope so too,” Sirzechs replied gravely.

Across the world, Chief Gods reached the same terrifying realization: a new entity matching the strength of a Dragon God had been born.

Rizevim felt it too, but his brows knit tight with suspicion and anger.

“If the old man hadn’t died and had grown even stronger, this is what it would feel like…” Rizevim muttered, his voice twisting.

“Are you telling me the original Lucifer has come back to life?

What a joke!”

He broke into wild laughter.

“Hehehe, hahahahaha—no matter who you are, even if you really are the original Lucifer, don’t think about ruining my plans!

The Evil Dragons, the Beast King, the other worlds—they are all mine!”

Meanwhile, deep within the newly built headquarters of the Khaos Brigade, a black-haired girl sitting on a throne moved for the first time in days.

She had been sitting motionless like a puppet, but she suddenly jumped down barefoot in her black dress.

With a casual flick of her hand, she tore open a rift in space and stepped through, traveling directly from the Khaos Brigade headquarters to the human world.

“A new Dragon God…” murmured Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God.

Her dark eyes were fixed in one direction as she began to walk.

“If I want to reclaim the silence of the Dimensional Gap, he might be able to help.”

Unaware of the global uproar his Sin Devil Trigger had caused among Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels, Sebastian remained unconscious as the Holy Grail merged into his soul.

His mind floated into a strange, endless wasteland.

He had previously wondered how one actually made a wish upon winning the Holy Grail War.

Standing before him in the wasteland was a woman who looked identical to Irisviel, dressed in the garments of the Saint of Winter.

“Victor, state your wish,” she said calmly.

Sebastian smiled.

“My wish is the Third Magic—Heaven’s Feel—and infinite magical energy!”

The Saint of Winter nodded.

Unlike the corrupted grails of other timelines, this Holy Grail was pure and capable of granting true desires.

Her body dissolved into golden light, flowing directly into Sebastian’s soul.

Instantly, overwhelming knowledge flooded his mind.

He absorbed every detail of the Third Magic, becoming a true wielder of Heaven’s Feel.

As the entire Holy Grail integrated into his body, the war officially came to an end.

Sebastian opened his eyes and felt the change immediately.

The magical energy in his body, which had been modest before, suddenly surged!

His baseline reserves shot up from a Middle-Class Devil straight to a High-Class Devil in a single moment.

Furthermore, his magical energy was now tethered to an infinite source.

Whenever he cast a spell or used his power, his energy reserves were instantly replenished.

It was true, infinite magical energy.

Right then, a system notification rang in his mind:

[Check-in Reward (Solomon): “The Key of Solomon”]

Sebastian accessed the reward and paused in surprise.

The Key of Solomon?

He pulled the item from his system space and held a physical book in his hands.

His expression became complicated.

Many people did not realize that the real-world historical text known as The Key of Solomon was not actually written by King Solomon at all.

I went through all that effort to defeat Solomon, and the system gives me a book that has nothing to do with him?

Sebastian thought, feeling a bit disappointed.

But he sat up in bed, turned on the lamp, and opened the pages.

After reading through the first few sections, he let out a sigh of relief.

This was not the medieval grimoire compiled by human sorcerers.

It was based on the legendary Sefer Raziel HaMalakh written by an angel, combined with Solomon’s own research, insights, and the essence of his lifetime of magecraft!

If thrown to the Magus Association, this single book could resurrect thousands of lost spells.

It was the true inheritance of the King of Magic, containing everything from the construction of divine arks to the summoning of spirits, angel magic, devil secrets, and manuscripts of true gods.

“A priceless treasure,” Sebastian admitted.

Still, as a Devil who preferred direct combat, thousands of complex human spells were not particularly useful to him.

Angelic magic was unusable for a Devil, and the ancient divine manuscripts were too complex to master immediately.

However, his eyes lit up when he reached the section detailing Solomon’s personal research on combat magic and energy manipulation.

Could Solomon actually beat me now?

Sebastian smirked, closing the book.
