[Level Up!]
'This!'
I managed to hunt 2 rabbits without even letting them get close to me.
Leveling up was something I expected, but it still made me happy. And seeing that it left behind two red orbs and a piece of meat, I approached and stored them.
'I wonder if the only drop besides the orbs will just be rabbit meat?'
I wasn't complaining, but I'd be happy if something different also came to vary like rabbit fur and leather.
'Anyway. With this, I no longer need to worry about food.'
In the near future I could even make a feast for my friends with pieces of rabbit meat.
I don't intend to exaggerate, they wouldn't be able to digest much, but if it's a small amount it's fine, right?
Opening the status window, I went to attributes.
[Luck]: 15 → 20
Without hesitating, I confirmed.
'I'll keep increasing my luck until it reaches at least 50.' I thought: 'Now... Should I create an attack magic?'
I avoided creating something like that until now because of my low amount of MP.
Although it was still low, it wasn't as low as before.
Extending my hand forward, I closed my eyes while imagining something coming out. That part was easy, even before becoming The Player, I already tried to do something like that when I was just a little boy...
Soon, a warm sensation manifested in my hand. Opening my eyes a little, I saw a familiar holographic page.
[A new Skill was created due to a specific action.]
[The Skill [Energy Beam] was created.]
[Energy Beam (Active) Lv.1 EXP: 0.00%]
[A Skill that fires a direct attack of pure mana.]
[The attack power increases according to INT, the amount of MP consumed and the Skill level.]
In my hand, the attack created was like a lighter spark. The instant I stopped supplying MP, the attack failed. But, it didn't matter.
Although I expected a positive result, I don't deny that I also thought about the chance of failing, after all, different worlds, different laws.
This was a very good skill. One where the damage level is determined by me, not a default value. As long as I want, it will be strong or weak.
'Later I'll try to make it more special, but... I'd rather get used to using magic first, then create new things.'
As that saying goes: Don't take a step bigger than your leg.
At the moment, my MP is small, there's no point in having more advanced attacks which I can only use at most 2 times.
<Energy Beam>!
This time, I created it until it became as big as a closed fist. The cost was 2 MP. I continued 'burning' MP, increasing the size until it became as big as a soccer ball.
When I wanted to expel that energy sphere, the command was received and the attack was fired forward.
'This is so... cool!' I thought, excited.
I felt like one of those Dragon Ball Z characters.
I still remember how I dreamed of being able to do a Kamehameha.
Booom!
[Critical Damage!]
[You inflicted 1,874 damage]
[You obtained 4,450 EXP.]
[Level Up!]
"What the hell?"
I had no idea what had just happened.
Suddenly, my attack simply exploded while I was a little distracted and resulted in something dying? Whatever it was... It had a relatively high level and gave me a lot of EXP in the process.
When I approached where the explosion happened, what I saw were not red light orbs, but purple ones. There were five purple orbs in total the size of passion fruits.
Picking one up, I quickly used "observe" on the item before it disappeared in my hand.
[Purple Orb (Consumable Item)]
[Origin: Obtained by killing a Spiritual Rat.]
[Description]:
[Sphere the size of a passion fruit that emits a weak purple glow. Can be stored without restriction.]
[Effect upon Ingesting (1 unit)]:
[The purple light transforms into a flow of warm energy that merges with the brain.]
[Random increase of 0.5 even up to 10 points of your attributes: Intelligence and Wisdom.]
[Small fixed bonus of MP.]
[Bonus effect]: For the next 30 minutes after ingesting, it clears the thoughts and increases comprehension. Also provides a small permanent increase in mental power.
'So, without meaning to, I killed a Spiritual Rat...!'
I kind of imagined it was something like that, but still, I found it somewhat unbelievable.
By the way, besides the 5 purple light orbs, there was also another item.
Before examining the item, I first picked up the purple orbs. I don't want under any circumstances to end up killed by an 'invisible' force like before and end up unable to collect all five orbs.
When I managed to pick up the five orbs, I let out the sigh I had been holding without even noticing.
Then, I picked up the item beside it. Or rather, the ring.
[Spiritual Ring]
[Origin: Obtained by killing a Spiritual Rat.]
[Description]: A ring with a crystal that emits a weak purple glow.
[Effect]: +20 Wisdom
[Effect]: +10 Intelligence
[Effect]: +50 MP
[Bonus Effect]: <Mental Attack (Active)>: Causes 220% mental damage and increases mental defense by 10% for 15s. Cooldown of 20 seconds. Cost: 10 MP.
"Holy mother of..." I murmured softly.
If the orbs were ridiculous, this ring was even more absurd!
Without hesitating, I equipped the ring.
When I did that, I felt a greater clarity. My ideas flowed more smoothly. My memory became more precise. Before, when I tried to remember something, many memories seemed like blurs. Now, however, my memories became much sharper.
It was as if I had replaced the monitor of my computer. Before, I used one that worked at most at 360p, but now, suddenly, it had been replaced by a 1080p monitor.
Using this ring yielded a total of 100 MP. Not to mention that, for every 10 points in Wisdom, it increases by 1% in mana regeneration and 1% in magic resistance.
'I'll put 2 points in Wisdom and the rest in Luck.'
[Wisdom]: 8 → 10 (+20)
[Luck]: 15 → 23
Finishing confirming, I didn't feel a change as significant as when equipping the Spiritual Ring, but I still felt a certain improvement.
'As expected, having luck is important!'
I strongly believe that it only happened that I hit that Spiritual Rat with my previous attack thanks to the increase in my luck.
'My luck, the rat's misfortune, I think...' I smiled a little thinking about that.
