The city was quiet in a way that felt wrong.

Smoke hung in the air like a thin veil.

Buildings stood, but there was a tension — like the world was holding its breath.Full novel: ecliptíc soul — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Serin and I crossed through empty streets, senses sharp.

Then, at the turn of a narrow road, we saw one of them.

A demon.

Skin like fractured black stone, body massive and uneven, as though carved from a mountain and left half-finished.

A white crystal pulsed in its forehead, faintly glowing.

It stopped mid-step… and looked directly at us.

His gaze lingered on Serin.

And then—he **looked away** and continued walking.

Like we were nothing.

A chill ran down my spine.

I clenched my jaw.

Serin’s expression didn’t change, but I felt it:

*This was not mercy.

It was dismissal.*

“We follow,” she whispered.

We did.

Through alleys, down shattered roads, past overturned cars and shattered walls — until the world opened into a clearing where reality itself was broken.

A **crack** split the air — like a door of shimmering darkness.

From it, stone carts slid through, pulled by bound, unconscious humans.

Resources — ore, crystals, even uprooted trees — were being transported inside.

Those who tried to resist earlier had either been killed… or enslaved.

Two demons guarded the gate.

Serin looked at me once.

I nodded.

We raised our hands.

**Six shots each.

Twelve in total.**

Water bullets — condensed, sharpened, accelerated.

Each one struck true:

* Legs

* Arms

* Crystal

The guards collapsed and did not rise again.

We approached the crack—

A sudden burst of pressure slammed toward us.

Serin sensed it, but before she could react—

A blade of white lightning cut the attack apart.

A man stepped forward.

He wore black armor light as cloth, and a smooth **white mask** without markings.

Mana radiated from him in a way I had only felt from Serin.

“Where is your focus?” he said sharply — not to Serin, but to **me**.

Before I could answer, the demons roared.

The masked man sprinted forward, and the battlefield snapped into formation:

* **Serin** took on **two** demons.

* The **masked man** engaged **one**.

* And the last one rushed **at me**.

I met his blade with mine.

Sparks burst.

He was stronger — far stronger — but I had trained.

We clashed again and again, blades ringing like struck steel.

I produce 12 bullets around him and struck again and again while strucking him with sword at last he died

Serin fought with fluid precision — water streaming from the air itself, hardening into blades and shields.

Yet even she was strained — two on one was no small task.

I drew back, took a breath, and shifted my stance to the second demon who was fighting with serin

The demon lunged — and I moved.

Water condensed from the air.

**An arrow.**

He dodged.

But water was not static — I **reversed** it.

In an instant, it accelerated — faster than a tank shell — and punched through his skull.

His body crashed to the ground.

At that same moment — Serin’s blade flashed.

She severed her opponent cleanly.

Thunder cracked — and the masked man’s demon fell in twelve impossible pieces.

We didn’t pause.

We **tracked the remaining three**.

Through ruined streets, past fires and broken windows,a demon get caught but kill effectively under the one minute ,until—

We encounter 3 demons 1 general 2 guard before a clinic.**my mom and Mira were at gate

The demons raised their weapons—

Serin and the masked man moved first, blocking their strikes.

I followed a beat behind, sword flashing.

The formation returned:

* The **central demon** — larger, darker crystal glowing — faced **Serin**.

* The **two guards** engaged **me and the masked man**.

I clashed again.

My blade met stone and sparks, my arms burned, lungs tightened—but I didn’t stop.

I remembered every hour of training, every bruise, every correction Serin forced into me.

This was not practice.

This was **survival.**

Above us, Serin and the central demon clashed — sword meeting sword, over and over.

When their blades met, a **golden light** shimmered around hers — faint at first, then growing.

The demon snarled:

**”Second elder daughter of the Lunaris family… how dare you stand here!”**

The words struck like lightning.

*Serin… Lunaris?*

The masked man and I eliminated the two remaining guards.

But the general was different — faster, stronger, relentless.

Serin’s sword ignited — **white flame** burning cold.

They struck swords, his sword cracke.

He roared rising dust making her vision blur

She struck in back

Steel screamed.

His blade cracked.

Then — from the crack in the air — **twenty more demons stepped through.**

The world went silent.

Something inside me broke.

Fear.

Anger.

Despair.

And something deeper.

The world drowned in blue.

My irises glowed.

My **mana core pulsed**, synchronized with my heartbeat.

The mask guy beheaded the general as he became weak and start to slaughtered the reinforcement.

I was in deep range

My sword ignited with flames which became black as of my rage — the same flame Serin wielded but more hotter to change their colour.

My eyes colour changes and I screamed even though I don’t do it as someone said it in my behalf “how you dare to kill him and his ###”

I moved.

Fast.

Too fast to think.

My body danced — no hesitation, no fear.

My strikes were precise, fluid — as if guided by rhythm rather than thought.

One demon.

Two.

Five.

Ten.

Fifteen.

Each one fell — burned, cut, shattered.

Their screams echoed — and then faded.

When the fifteenth turned to ash, the fire inside me flickered.

My vision blurred.

The ground tilted.

I heard my own voice speak — weak, fading:

“Masked guy… keep this… secret…and I entrust you….”

And the world went dark.
