Zach picked himself up off the floor and went to the shower.

‘Thankfully, the barf odor is gone.’ Zach got undressed and let the water run over him.

I have school tomorrow.

Should I skip?

Nah, I never really got to experience high school firsthand, it should be interesting.’

Zach was about to get into bed, but something told him he was forgetting something.

‘Right!

I still haven’t tried out the Elemental Breathing and Training Space.’ He hit himself on the head.

‘It seems like Cloud Storage and Perfect Recall aren’t such a good match after all.

They don’t help me memorize anything.

I can recall all relevant information when I need to.

Kind of like a computer file.’

Zach groaned as he flopped onto his bed.

‘Ok, Zach, just take this as a lesson.

A lot of sticky notes and reminders, maybe a few journals.’ He got up and put a sticky note on his door.

[REFLECT AND THINK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TODAY]

‘This way, every time I close my door, or when I wake up in the morning, I won’t forget.

Now then, let’s see what Elemental Breathing is all about.’ Zach was excited he mentally accepted the breathing technique.

[Elemental Breathing- is a technique catered to those who can interact with the elements.

This technique will help the user strengthen their connection with the elements and strengthen their bodies.

The elemental energy will be available to be used freely by the user; there are no restrictions besides talent, control, and willpower.]

Information about the elements surged into Zach’s mind, and the way to breathe and absorb them.

The surge didn’t last long, and he regained his senses quickly.

‘This is so cool!

It’s like I am the avatar, the real question is, should I get arrows tattooed?’

Zach rubbed his head and felt his hair.

‘Not a chance.

The training space is more mental than physical.

There is a way to upgrade it, but it’s well beyond my budget.’ He looked at the cost of the upgraded version and took a sharp intake of breath.

‘120,000oc!

I think I will just make do with what I have for now, which is zero oc.’

‘Enough monologuing, I can test out the technique tomorrow at a park or something.’ He closed his eyes and went to sleep.

He ignored the dings that sounded.

‘Save it for tomorrow.’

The sun beamed down on Zach’s face.

He was peacefully dreaming until a giant barged in and yelled for him to wake up.

“Wake up!” Zach sat straight up in his bed and watched as his grandpa left.

He took a deep breath to calm down.

‘Jesus Christ, was he trying to give me a heart attack?’ Zach got out of bed and saw the sticky note.

He recalled all of the events yesterday and remembered hearing dings before heading to bed.

‘Good thing I wrote this sticky note.’ Zach washed up and checked his system in the process.

He saw a new missions tab and clicked on it.

1.

Troll Omni-Man: Gain 25,000 Omni coins

2.

Influence the weather: Gains vary

3.

Interact with the main characters: Gains vary based on interaction

4.

Start or build an organization focusing on Nature: Gain 10,000 Omni coins

5.

Become a hero or a villain: Gain 10,000 Omni Coins

Zach almost choked on his toothpaste when he read the first mission.

‘Thank God all of these are optional.

The plot starts in 2022, when Mark turns 17.

The current year is 2012.

This means I am ten years ahead of the plot!

I can help Samantha, aka Atom Eve, out when she has to fight her siblings and maybe even make her more mentally stable.’

Zach finished getting dressed and ran out to catch the bus.

Henry offered to drive him, but he wanted to catch the bus.

He wanted to get the full high school experience.

He got on the bus and found a seat.

In his memories, he had just transferred to the school.

He looked around and saw the types of groups.

The jocks, the outcasts, the nerds and geeks, the anime weebs, the goths, and finally the cool kids.

Before he could monologue, a voice interrupted him.

“Hey, my name is Fred.” Zach looked to his left and saw a boy reaching out.

He took his hand and introduced himself.

“Nice to meet you.

My name is Zach, and I just transferred.”

Fred gave Zach the rundown on everyone.

He told him who everyone was and what their parents did for work.

“That’s everyone except for you.

Tell me about yourself.” He took out a pen and a notepad.

‘Maybe I could make some money here.’ “Sure, no problem, how much?” Fred smacked his lips.

“So you aren’t a jock for sure.

You don’t seem like the snobby kind, so you won’t be a ‘cool kid’ either.

You don’t wear black, eyeliner, and you have no piercings.

You don’t give the vibes of an outcast.”

Zach smiled at him and crossed his arms.

‘He has some detective skills, or he is just really observant.’ Fred stared a bit longer before sighing.

“Alright, you got me.

My mom is a reporter, and my dad is a military officer.

The most I can pay up is 80 bucks.”

Zach laughed.

“How about 30 bucks, in exchange we become friends, and you give me 20% what you earn and tell me who asks about me.” Fred thought about the terms.

In Zach’s mind, different exchanges were being thought of.

‘So this is what it feels like being gifted in negotiation, paired with creative and fast thinking, I can become a CEO in no time.

Fred finally sighed and shook his head.

“You have a deal.

No one has ever negotiated with me as good as you.” Zach smiled and told him who his parents were, what they did, his hobbies, likes, and dislikes, and told him his favorite foods.”

Fred wrote everything down and then took out his phone.

“Give me your number so I can add you to my contact list and the group chat(gc).” Zach gave him his number and added Fred to his phone as well.

They reached the school.

‘I still can’t get over how pretentious the name is.

Who names a school Eagles Soar High School?’ Fred said goodbye and went to class.

Zach attended his first class and tried to pay attention.

He was distracted by the girl who passed by the class window.

He saw her by pure chance through the tiny glass window in the door.

Zach’s eyes widened.

‘Sonya!

She goes here.’ He did the only thing he could do, which was to take out his phone and send a text to Fred.

[Fred, tell me everything you know about a girl with jet black hair, caramel skin, green eyes, and one piercing on the corner of her lip, it’s not a hoop, one, it’s one of those little circular ones, and the other on her left eyebrow.]

Zach didn’t get a response until he saw Fred at lunch.

He set a reminder on his phone to recall and take notes in his classes.

“Any news?” Fred was just about to bite into his burger.

He wiped his hands.

“The girl you asked about is Blair Dezmond.

She is a junior, wants to be a lawyer specializing in family law or a social worker, she likes video games, and her favorite color is black, her favorite animal are dogs, and before you ask me, she is single.”

Zach wrote everything down as Fred talked.

Fred took a bite of his burger as he watched Zach.

“So uh, was it love at first sight or did you get transferred here because you are stalking her?” Zach gave Fred a look.

He put his hands up.

“All I’m saying is the amount of detail you gave me was borderline creeper territory, and you haven’t been here very long.” Zach put his head on the table.

“I have perfect recall; it means whatever I’ve experienced, I can perfectly recall it as if I am reliving it again.”

Fred’s mouth dropped open.

“Holy shit!

You’re like the best eye witness to any crime or the next freaking Steven Hawking dude.” Zach smiled.

“Sure, but remember I can recall ALL of my experiences in high definition.

Including all embarrassing moments, traumatic ones, and scary ones too.”

Fred stopped smiling.

“Sheesh, way to ruin the mood.” Zach shrugged his shoulders.

“It wasn’t my plan, but everything has its downsides.

I’m going to get something to eat.” Fred wanted to say something, but Zach didn’t wait up.

Zach’s face changed from forlorn into a sly grin.

‘Total control is already getting put to use; maybe I should become an actor.’ Zach grabbed his tray of food and turned to go back to the table.

“I am so sorry.” A girl said as she reached for napkins.

Zach’s gumbo spilled all over him.

He was in a daze.

“Here are some napkins.” Zach took them and wiped off his shirt the best he could.

“No worries, it was only semi-hot, and besides, it’s just a shirt, no need to panic,” Zach said as he helped the girl pick up the tray and wipe up the gumbo.

“My name is Zach.

What’s yours?”

The girl looked up and said, “My name is Blair, nice to meet you.” She smiled and shook his hand.

‘Wow, her name and looks might be different, but she is still the same Sonya.’ Zach thought as he shook her hand.

He watched her walk away and headed back to Fred.

“Hey, man, sorry about before.” Zach waved it off.

“Don’t worry about it, man.

You know, I think high school is going to be interesting.” Fred scoffed.

“High school?

Ineresting?

Maybe, but it’s only a small part of our lives.”
