The two weapons clashed.
Under Cabrun’s stunned gaze, his weapon shattered.
The Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe was cut clean through by Shino’s Stellar Sword in a single blow.
Cabrun dodged in time, but his left shoulder still took a hit.
The entire shoulder was sliced off.
Cabrun didn’t care about his injury at all.
He cared far more about the Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe now lying in pieces on the ground.
There were many Ancient Artifacts in this world, and among them, the rarest were the forbidden ones.
Cabrun’s Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe ranked seventh among the Ten Great Forbidden Ancient Artifacts.
“What the hell is that weapon of yours!
That sword isn’t among the Ten Great Forbidden Ancient Artifacts!”
“How could my Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe, one of the Forbidden Ancient Artifacts, be cut clean through by your sword!”
“I forged that weapon myself,” Shino said.
“Impossible!
No one can forge an Ancient Artifact!” Cabrun roared.
“A frog at the bottom of a well, knowing nothing of the world.”
“Ancient Artifacts are man-made.
If others can make them, why can’t I?”
“Forging an Ancient Artifact requires a massive amount of magic power.
How could a brat like you possibly do it!” Cabrun spat.
“This must be an Ancient Artifact I’ve never seen before.
You’re lying.
There’s no way you forged it!”
“Oh, really?”
Shino raised his hand.
A mass of magic power gathered the fragments of the shattered Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe together.
The magic enveloped the weapon.
Moments later, the Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe appeared completely intact in Shino’s hand.
“Impossible!”
Cabrun’s jaw dropped as he stared at Shino in disbelief.
“I’ll use your own weapon to send you off.”
Shino walked toward Cabrun step by step, holding the Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe.
“Someone come quickly!
Whoever kills this guy will be the next Round Table Knight!”
Cabrun shouted.
“Stop yelling.
They’re all dead,” Alpha said.
Cabrun looked around.
Thousands of Children of Diablos lay dead.
Not a single survivor.
Within just 1 minute, thousands of Children of Diablos.
“Who the hell are you people!”
“We are Shadow Garden.
The organization that stops the Cult of Diablos from resurrecting the Demon Diablos,” Alpha said.
“You!”
Cabrun began stepping back in fear.
“You know too much.”
A remote control suddenly appeared in Cabrun’s hand.
He pressed the button without hesitation.
“Beep, beep, beep!”
“Self-destruct sequence initiated!”
An alarm blared.
Cabrun threw out a smoke bomb, turned around, and dove into a secret passage.
The ground began to tremble violently, like a magnitude-10 earthquake.
Shino wanted to chase after Cabrun, but he saw the state of the Seven Shadows.
They couldn’t keep their balance on the violently shaking ground.
The base of the Tenth Seat of the Round Table was hidden underground.
If it collapsed, Shino wasn’t sure Alpha and the others could escape.
Shino extended seven magic hands, grabbed all seven, and pulled them close to him.
“Stay close to me.
I’ll protect you.”
Shino pressed his palms together, gathering and solidifying his magic power into a shield that enveloped everyone.
Alpha was about to say they could escape on their own.
But seeing how much Shino cared about them, she kept quiet.
The entire base began to shake violently, then started collapsing.
Countless chunks of rubble rained down from above.
The tremors lasted 10 minutes.
When the shaking stopped, the base had become a field of ruins.
“That bastard!
Are they all dead?
Where the hell did my three damned disciples go?
Those three bastards didn’t even come to help me!”
Cabrun opened a hidden door.
Inside were all his funds and a large amount of documents.
As Cabrun opened the door, he saw three corpses — his three disciples.
Each possessed extraordinary strength.
If the three had fought together, even he couldn’t have taken them down quickly.
But the three of them were now corpses.
And Cid was collecting treasure.
“You bastard!
Put my money down!” Cabrun shouted.
“Your money?”
“But those three just said it was their money and tried to kill me.
I killed them instead.
Since they’re dead, doesn’t that make it my money now?”
“You bastard!
Do you know who I am?”
“I am the Tenth Seat of the Cult of Diablos.
Cabrun the Crimson Sand!”
“The Cult of Diablos?
There really is a bandit group with that name!”
“You dare call the Cult of Diablos a bandit group!” Cabrun roared.
“Wasn’t this money all stolen by you?”
“So what if it was!”
“Then isn’t that a bandit group?”
“You bastard!
No…
Hahahahaha!
I get it now!”
“You killed those three, and now your magic power is almost depleted.
So you’re trying to stall with words to prepare your magic and escape, right!”
“I won’t give you that chance.
Die!”
Cabrun gathered magic power into his fist and threw a punch at Cid.
Cid raised one hand and caught the other’s fist.
“The Tenth Seat of the Round Table?
Your punch feels like you haven’t eaten!”
“You bastard!”
Violent magic fluctuations erupted around Cabrun.
Cid ignored the rampaging magic and punched Cabrun in the face.
Cid began to toy with him.
He could have ended it in one blow, but he chose to play instead.
Cabrun exchanged several blows with Cid, feeling humiliated.
He was one of the Twelve Round Table Knights of the Cult of Diablos — the most powerful organization in the world.
Cabrun the Crimson Sand.
To be toyed with like this!
Even the other Round Table Knights never disrespected him.
“If I still had the Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe, I’d tear you limb from limb!”
“You want it?
Then have it!” Shino’s voice rang out.
The Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe flew toward Cabrun at tremendous speed.
Cabrun saw the weapon hurtling toward him and barely dodged by a hair’s breadth.
In that instant, even a moment’s hesitation would have meant decapitation.
Cabrun picked up the Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe embedded in the wall, turned around, and swung at Cid.
But Cid dodged the attack with incredible speed, closed in on Cabrun’s body, grabbed his arm, and twisted hard.
“Ah!
My arm!”
Cabrun felt excruciating pain and released the Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe.
Shino picked it up.
“This thing is an Ancient Artifact, right?”
“I heard it’s some kind of very powerful one.
One of the Ten Great Forbidden Ancient Artifacts.
I just cut it apart and then restored it,” Shino said.
“Sounds impressive.
The Eminence in Shadow needs collectibles like this.
Give this to me, and the treasure here is yours.”
“Fine.
No problem.”
At that moment, Alpha caught up with Shino.
She saw Cid.
“Lord Shadow is truly elusive, even managing to corner the fleeing Tenth Seat of the Round Table.”
Cid certainly hadn’t planned that.
He was just killing mooks, got lost, and ended up here, where he killed three guys who seemed like small-time leaders.
“I’ll leave the rest to you.
I have more important matters to handle.”
Cid turned and vanished on the spot.
Vanishing along with him was the Heaven-Splitting Battle Axe.
