“Fourth Layer of Palace Refinement Realm!”
“Third Layer of Qi Refinement!”
With that advancement, he had effectively stepped into the Middle Stage of Tier 0 in the Ranking of Cultivation.
He was no longer a complete bottom feeder, though being in the Middle Stage of Tier 0 was nothing worth boasting about.
But there was something else that immediately caught his attention.
[Emperor of All Races]
[Name: Kaiser Von Dawn]
[Realm: World of Gersa(Low Grade World)
[Techniques:]
[Imperial Dragon Qi Condensation Breath: Third Layer: 1/1000]
[Dragon Martial Body Technique: Fourth Layer: 1/1000]
[Imperial Spear Canon Arts: Minor Accomplishment: 78/1000]
[Imperial Point: 1]
With an advancement from two fronts at the same time, Kaiser took it in stride.
He closed his eyes, feeling through the connection to his Avatar, Kain.
Kain had stormed into the palace of the Marquis of Frostmouren, cutting down anyone who stood in his path, and finally beheading the Marquis himself.
After that, he had been completely alienated from the court, and even the Emperor maintained a visible distance from him.
The reason Kain had taken such a reckless action was because… that bastard Marquis had struck a deal with a Rank Seven Mutant Beast, offering a constant supply of humans into the den of the Beast.
In return, he would receive a lifetime of peace as long as the tribute continued.
Kain was not an inherently reckless person.
But that was simply not the case.
The answer to the situation was painfully straightforward.
Request aid from the Demon Hunting Legion.
There were countless Rank Six and Rank Seven Mutant Humans equipped with weaponry capable of killing Rank Seven and Eight level Beasts.
Kain knew this better than anyone, as he had personally taken part in the slaying of a Rank Eight Black Night Bear.
That Marquis had a choice.
A correct, proper, and honorable choice.
But instead, he chose to feed humans to a Rank Seven Mutant Beast called Necrotic Man Face Scorpion in exchange for personal peace and prosperity.
And for that, Kain had cut him down without hesitation.
Humans of this age didn’t purely rely on Mutant Warriors.
Numerous methods to combat Beasts had come to light: explosives, baits and poisons, and potion masters who worked day and night to improve their concoctions so that at least fifty percent of the people who ingested them wouldn’t drop dead.
But requesting that aid would have been a stain on the Marquis’s career, so he ruthlessly sold the humans of his domain to the Beast.
The main reason Kain was so enraged was because among the tribute, the old man who had taught him everything and had given him his first nudge into power had accidentally been caught up in it, sacrificed like livestock to the Beast.
Getting to the bottom of this, and finding that the old man had been given to the Beast like fodder, Kain went off, slaughtered his way through the palace, and killed the Marquis.
Because the Marquis’s crimes were already exposed, and because Kain was an immensely talented individual who could very likely reach Rank Nine in the Ladder of Mutants, the Emperor did not want to give up such a gem.
As a result, Kain was placed in prison merely as a show.
His age right now was 45.
‘Good.
With one year, I will assimilate the Rank Six Mutant Blood, and then I will step into Rank Seven.’
Rank Seven and Rank Eight were the stages where humans could finally move freely across the land without constantly fearing for their lives.
Mutant creatures of those ranks usually acted alone, which allowed humans to take advantage of strategy and cunning rather than brute strength.
It was why those realms were considered the true watershed between prey and hunter.
Kaiser let the thought settle in his mind as he opened his eyes.
His breath evened out.
His body calmed.
A moment later, he pushed himself back into motion.
He headed straight into training again.
He had court meetings scheduled later, and he needed to attend every single one.
Those meetings were where he quietly tried to farmed Imperial Points.
Once the court sessions ended and a failed attempt at increasing Imperial Points, he would return directly to cultivation.
Because after hearing that Rheydan was only one such genius of this Realm, and finding that this world was still vast as the Heavens, he grinding himself without stop.
With the Rank Six Mutant Body providing him with feedback, his Physical Path seemed to never stop progressing, as he was already on the precipice of Fourth Layer of Palace Refinement, ready to breakthrough into the Fifth Layer.
And with the continuous and increased resource allocation to him, his Qi Refinement Realm was also growing at a breakneck speed.
After practicing himself to exhaustion, he went to soak in the Spiritual Spring that he had for himself, and wondered…
‘What is that monster of a human Rheydan doing now?’
